  1. ^It's either this, or just be left in the dust until August. I like the games the park's play with us, but just as much clues point to it being a Vertical Drop Coaster than it being a Hyper. We can never be too sure.
  2. I'm really not sure which I like better. I'm leaning towards MF but that's because I've ridden it only 3 or 4 times so it was considered a special ride, and i305 I've ridden upwards of 30 times and it's not as special each individual time because I've ridden it so much.... It's the same with Maverick and i305, I just can't decide!
  3. I'll be there opening day, and if not, Opening Sunday.
  4. Man, I guess I'm one too late on this one. But if you do need me, I'll find the time to do it.
  5. I said this before, but it's just that these polls really don't actually represent any meaningful result, considering less than 1% of the people voting have actually constructed legitimate opinions on each ride after riding them, or even just hearing about them. Most of the votes for i232 are from Carowinds fanboys who haven't heard of any park other than their beloved, but also with the same as i305. 75% of the voters would have never guessed that Formula Rossa was the fastest roller coaster in the world....
  6. Very cool! I'll give it a look later tonight!
  7. We're 20 points behind Carowinds' Intimidator....so close! http://themeparks.about.com/b/2011/02/11/readers-choice-awards-roller-coaster.htm
  8. ....Awesome. I guess procrastinating always turns out for the better!
  9. ^I like it! @Ghost: I like where this is heading, very nice layout
  10. I think a record-breaking coaster with a cable-lift+gravity driven drop could work, and part of me thinks it will in the future. It won't have the pricetag of a launch, and they could always drop trims on the first drop to lower the speed.
  11. I think I rode Blue Streak the most out of all the other rides, simply because of the non-exsistant lines and the fact that it's just a simple, good ride! I didn't even give Mean Streak a visit, but don't overlook classics like Gemini.
  12. I love the interlocking corkscrews on Ghost!
  13. Coupon: Thanks! CC9: Thanks, though that may be just because there aren't too many recreations around! tdub: Thanks, and I tried that but the longer transitions and airtime hills with the wooden coaster track makes it look sloppy. Oreo: Thanks and thanks! ----- Our themed "Bermuda Triangle" area will send you to civilizations of the unknown! Altivola, (still unfinished) CC33.bmp A classic!
  14. Is it weird that right before this thread was resurrected, I had a dream about making a Weird Roller Coaster Dreams thread on TPR? I woke up the next morning to find this!
  15. Kindga Ka is NOT themed. Any coaster has trees, and it's just not as much of an unique experience like TTD. Whenever I hear engine revving in normal life I instantly become nervous and think about waiting to be launched 120mph. It's not spectacular theming, but it really makes it that much better. But another good example would be Sheikra vs. Griffon. Griffon is 5 feet taller, has an extra immelman, and has a higher capacity. But Sheikra has great theming, with all of it's tunnels and fog effects. Some people prefer Sheikra over Griffon just for that reason.
  16. I like th roof objects! And the darker green color scheme is better in my opinion.
  17. Whenever Robb makes a joke, everybody else has to add their spin on it and make it unfunny. Sorry, I had to let that out. But back on topic, I can't wait to get down to KD, process my platinum pass, and see how nice this new i305 turns out! It'll feel great to speed through the course 94mph again!
  18. Very nice and realistic!
  19. I really love that "water tower"!
  20. I especially like that tunnel to the top right of the screen, it adds a nice touch!
  21. ^&^^ Thanks! Remember I always love to hear everyone's opinions.... ---- "Pursuit" has been the USA's prime hybrid racing coaster for over 30 years! Climb 115 feet then plummet down at a 55 degree angle, all taking place next to CC's famed boardwalk! Providing extremely scenic views of the creek, the Classic Creek Boardwalk is complete with shows and concession stands fun for all ages. Come and book your visit to Classic Creek Thrill Resort today, where dreams become reality!
  22. The "hold for five seconds" kind of reminds me about Griffon...but I have no idea what position they're in
