  1. So, which paint scheme do people like better? The old black one or the new green one? I'm kinda leaning towards green at this point...it makes it "stand out"
  2. Well...I'm confused...but anxious to see what's next!
  3. As long as the queue doesn't make it feel crowded, I'm sure it'll be fine. I think it's time to see a release from you
  4. My friend said this yesterday, and I was about to start a huge debate but decided my social life was more important than roller coasters. Which sometimes I find hard to believe. But Apollo has always been my favorite ride...
  5. Intimidator 305, front row, Last Friday. I've also had the privledge of riding Volcano and Anaconda alone as well. I think those would be the only ones, if not any of the wooden coasters...
  6. I agree. The park feels very complete right now.
  7. Those are the Windseeker seats. Comfortable, huh?
  8. I wonder what made them change it? Or decide to make it 54 inches int he first place?
  9. 1983 If you were disappointed with no new additions in 1982, we hope this is a substantial apology! Two new thrill rides will dominate the park guests' eager need to ride more, more, more! The new area will be open with the park on April 8th, 1983...here's a picture to ease your wait. -Braztaz
  10. This park is very different, but in a very good way. It's something fresh, not something we usually see.
  11. I do hope you're going to send this to NE, for it should definitely win something. The new arrow is great.
  12. I'm loving the McDonalds building, and the layout too! The only thing I find odd is the train station, but other than that, great job.
  13. Ah....life is good at Adventure Springs in the new extended waterpark area. The wave pool has proven to be extremely popular, and has provided a fun way to cool off on those hot summer days. But we're afraid Tidal Zone only operates in temperatures over 60 degrees, and since we are well into September those days are getting rarer and rarer. We're debating whether or not to have a set operating schedule next season, where it closes without exception after Labor Day weekend. We'll try to release more information as quickly as possible. Also, there will be no new addition for the 1982 season. But don't worry, it may just be because we're planning something big for 1983....or not, who knows? -Braztaz
  14. Well, he was half right- they did give Griffon a fresh coat of paint this year!
  15. CC9, MeMeMe, Tdub: Thanks! Dotro: What I was trying to accomplish was putting in a modernized station within an old 1920s atmosphere...kind of how Magnum's station sticks out like a sore thumb at Cedar Point. Guess it didn't work out to well, haha And I would also like to thank Derek (djbrcace) for additional help with hacking...now onto the update... ---- I'm just as excited as you are. After a very successful first season, Adventure Springs will re open on April 10th, 1981. While the wave pool will not be ready until July 4th, you can still enjoy and ride everything else we have to offer- like "Jetstream", which can still scare me to death! -Braztaz
  16. Video fixed. But the air on the second hill is amazing now...took my breath away!
  17. Shockwave was not running Friday, basically the only area of the park open was Congo. But the intense turns with the straps were so much better...if it wasn't a top 10 ride before, i305 definitely is now. But Rebel Yell and Dominator were both testing, and I bet many of he other rides were and I just didn't notice them.
  18. ^Just a little bit of air on the third hill, but the second hill is amazing with airtime. And yes, the first drop felt much faster.
  19. Just got back from the park for the Flying Squirrels Day-thing, rode i305 11 times, 2 in the front row, and it's even more amazing than ever. The first turn's change is very noticeable from the queue, even my non-enthusiast friends noticed it. But I'm afraid to say, I thought the black out was much more intense... Virtually no lines for any of the rides, even Volcano and Fof which was a one-train wait for the front row. I was on i305's last train of the night, front row, with no one else on the train but my one friend. Truly an awesome day.
  20. @JCoasters@Dotro: Thanks! @Derek: Hm, I've seen both tactics and I might change my mind about which track to use. I'm not sure. But thank you! @CC9: Don't worry, I will ---- April 11th, 1980- Adventure Springs's official re-opening! I'm proud to announce that opening day soared above our expectations, and the future for Adventure Springs is looking bright! Families from Sandford poured in through the gates, and thoroughly enjoyed our water slide, flat rides, and most of all...Jetstream. The custom-arrow looping beast that inverts riders three times, complete with a powerful helix, a corkscrew over the midway, water effects on the first drop, and a nice airtime hill. Just take a look at this postcard being shipped all over the country... I'm so exited for my opportunities with this park. I have a feeling that this will be big, very big...So until next time, enjoy this picture of Adventure Spring's NEW midway.
  21. The park wasn't really all that bad. It's a lot worse than most make it out to be, it just wasn't handled by the right people. I think if executed properly it would be a success...
