  1. ^HAHA! The group owner sounds like he's 6 years old!
  2. Aw. I mean, they said that the noise wouldn't exceed traffic levels...so why are the residents so worried? I mean you can't hear TTD launching all the way over by MF at Cedar Point, which is about the distance to the neighborhood in Orlando....blegh.
  3. @PSi: Thanks for the advice! @CC9: Thanks, man! What I'm going to do is have only one update for the smaller additions, but multiple updates & announcements for the larger attractions...here it is, one of Adventure Springs' FIRST major new addition! --- 1985 In coordinance with the management of Mount Vernon, Adventure Springs is pleased to announce a brand new themed section in the back of the park behind Jetstream: "Colonial VA" is set after Virginia in the 1700s and will boast multiple new attractions, including a brand new Waveswinger. The old Waveswinger was deemed a hazard and crews were unable to restore it; it lays in pieces in a storage shed way back behind the park. We are very exited to bring back this old memory. Also included in the addition is an outdoor "museum", if you will, that showcases an authentic colonial Virginian farm; with workers, tools and more. More information o that coming soon. But the biggest of them all is yet to be announced. It will stand over 50 feet taller than Jetstream, making it the tallest structure in the park. Who would like to guess what our new star-attraction will be? More hints will come in the following days... Adventure Springs is located off of Route 1, just 5 miles outside of Mount Vernon in Fort Belvoir. Joint tickets between Mount Vernon and Adventure Springs are available, season pass to Adventure Springs does not include unlimited visits to Mount Vernon.
  4. Free membership to Club TPR!? Agh, I wish this was for RCT2....
  5. Loving the fourth and fifth shot. I'm glad you're focusing on bettering the atmosphere now, too. And sucks to hear another classic ride lost it's classic trains! Keep up the great work!
  6. I love the look of the corkscrew in the first drop, but for an Arrow there are too many helixes and "twistys". For an overall better look, I think you shoukd "dumb" down the layout a bit, like Arrow would have in real life.
  7. ^I honestly don't even know the story behind how that joke got started...
  8. Now that you mention it, I think I enjoyed the Premier ride more than Time Machine... Save teh estranged Premier ferris wheel hybrid!
  9. Well, I'm finally back on track with the timeline. But things have been switched around...the location of the park has been switched to Fort Belvoir, VA...which is just 5 miles away from Mount Vernon, which is the mansion that George Washington resided in back in the 1700s. It's a huge tourist attraction right near Washington DC, and so I thought it'd be more fun and interesting to switch the location of the park to here. So, let's finally get another update! ----- Grab a mat, two friends, and race down this 45-foot speed slide made for thrills of all ages! "Aqua Racer" will debut at Adventure Springs for the 1984 season across from Tidal Zone, along with the brand new "Cool Breeze Café", which will offer guests smoothies, wraps, and a place to cool down. Aqua Racer Cool Breeze Café Construction is still in progress. Adventure Springs is set to open for the 1984 season on Friday, April 6th with Jetstream, Rickety Ranger, Pirate Ship, Scrambler, Spring Wheel, and the other flat rides all operational. Aqua Racer, Cool Breeze Café, and Tidal Zone will open on Memorial Day Weekend. Adventure Springs is located off of Route 1, just 5 miles outside of Mount Vernon in Fort Belvoir. Joint tickets between Mount Vernon and Adventure Springs are available, season pass to Adventure Springs does not include unlimited visits to Mount Vernon. ---- -Braztaz
  10. Bob, my only problem is the clashing textures of the roof and the walls...they make for complete eye sores.
  11. From what I hear, Spring Break weekdays are practically empty. Last year I heard was a bit more crowded, but that is expected since i305 was brand new. This year, I think you shouldn't have much trouble with crowds. I'll be going Wednesday and am expecting very, very light crowds.
  12. Bizarro is looking nice! Can't wait to see some more shots of the theming.
  13. Works perfectly on my iPod Touch, but on a blackberry the site can be a bit of a pain. And sometimes, I get on from my crappy Samsung Intensity and that's just like hell on earth
  14. This pretty much applies to any POV, or offride video on youtube: "omg im 11 and i rode that!!" There are thousands of comments from these 9, 10, 11 year olds that shouldn't even be on youtube bragging that they've gone on a coaster. No one cares! It's actually starting to get me a little angry...
  15. Actually, there is a ton of room! I always thought an out-and-back hyper would have fit great back there that wrapped around Grizzly and Hurler before 305 came along... In fact, a coaster the size of 305 could almost fit back there! BTW, thank you all for all the responses, this was my first TPR photo trip report! A hyper could definitely fit back there. Or anything, really. Any new attraction in Old VA would be a great way to spread out traffic from the Congo.
  16. The slight bump that you barely feel where the old track meets the new track... I honestly didn't even feel the bump when I rode it on the 1st. I think it's one of those things where if you're not paying attention to it or thinking about it, you don't notice it. It's that little. Anyways, great trip report and I'm glad you loved the new i305!
  17. Well, I discovered a way to make to increase the map size of my original park, so I decided to go back and just use that but now on a 200x200. (Used to be 120x120) I'm still reconstructing some of the buildings like the ones I showed you, though. Since it's spring break for me expect a lot of updates including the timeline starting back up with all the original coasters. -Braztaz
  18. @B.A.B: Thanks! An whoops, forgot to do that, haha. @MeMeMe: Hmm...I loved those fences. I'll see what I can do though. @Dotro: What do you mean? Oh and also, I'm afraid that I'm going to be altering the short timeline so far. No more Arrow coaster, but I will replace it with another star attraction, I hope you guys will love it when it's done! No pictures for now though. But I do have an important question: What did you guys think of the two coasters, the multi-looper and the mine-train?
  19. Derek, I think if you are looking to do the diagonal first drop you should replace the cobra roll with a dive loop to increase the flow and make it look much better. The rest of the layout is great, though!
  20. Thanks to all of you. Any feedback is appreciated. No pictures for now, but I decided to expand the park to give it a more complete feel. It now includes stuff like more pools, nature walks, more flats, and a theater. I cant wait until I get the timeline started back up again!
  21. Great photos! I can definitely see the GP thinking Green Lantern and Kingda Ka are the same thing from far away...but Green Lantern looks amazing anyway! Can't wait until it opens up.
  22. @CC9: I know, I know Anyways, I'm currently redoing the park and it'll be a while until I catch up to the timeline again, thankfully I didn't get too far into the '80s....but I decided it'd be a good time to practice my building style and well I sure NEED all you guys' opinions on which one is better, the new or the old entry plaza.....thanks in advance! NEW SCR282.BMP OLD SCR266.BMP
  23. Thanks, all of you. I really appreciate every comment But, I'm gonna go back to scenario editor and make the park map larger. It's been bugging me that I might run out of space so I'd better get it over with now before I get a lot of work done on it. So I don't know how long it'll take to redo everything, so sorry if updates don't come very soon...
