  1. On slow days I'm thinking that waiting for it to fill up each time would take a while... They should do what KD does with their Drop Tower, only operate it in sections. On slower days only load half of the swings. Or at least just group the guests together and tell them to just fill the seats in order and to not skip any.
  2. Aww, I wish I was able to go. But I couldn't since it was on Fathers Day! Sounds like a lot of fun and those trains sure are empty!
  3. Thanks for the info guys, I'm sure we'll have a great day!
  4. Well, he's GP so he always says "the hanging ones" are painful But the main reason is that he feels constricted into the seat, he wouldn't even ride i305 because of how strapped in he was in the test seat.
  5. When in the video did you see that?
  6. Alrighty, Thursday will be a busy day! I'll be leaving my house at 8AM, then get to Dorney at around 2 or 3 and stay until park closing. I'm guessing the park won't be too crowded on a Thursday and I'll be able to get everything in. But, I'm afraid my dad won't have much to do. He's ridden Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, but if a ride has an OTSR he stays as far away as possible from it. Which means the only rides he'd want to ride are Steel Force (he's ridden Magnum and said it was a little rough) and Thunderhawk (how rough is this classic woodie?). So what flat rides would you guys recommend that aren't too extreme and have regular lap bars? I don't wanna leave my dad in the dust the whole day.
  7. It's weird, you could give me all the friends, money, roller coasters to ride in the world....but it's that one girl that you're mood completely depends on no matter what
  8. Usually mid or late August, all the major announcements take place.
  9. Without Dotro, I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am now. All the advice he gives me really isn't worth his time so I'm thankful he's taking the time to help me out. You all are so defensive! ---- 1992 1992 brings a brand new action-packed arcade to Colonial VA! Tons of cool arcade games and activities is a great addition to Adventure Spring's family friendly line-up of attractions. Other additions to better the atmosphere and maintain the clean feeling the park has help up for so many years have taken place near Carnivora's plaza. ----- What do you guys think? -Braztaz
  10. I always find myself doodling i305 too, but it's usually just tracing the layout of it...not nearly as detailed as that!
  11. I'm only 14 and while my legs didn't hurt, they were sore and it felt weird to walk for about 30 minutes after I got off...
  12. I'm extremely sensitive to heat, as I've gotten heat exhaustion at least 4 times in the past two years, and then twice in the same day. For those of you that don't know, heat exhaustion is one of the most miserable things that could happen at a theme park. It really sucks. So I'm always really careful whenever I go, and here's what I do.... 1. Get a good night's sleep. I know it's tough going to sleep thinking about how much fun you'll be having, but at least just lie down and listen to some music. 2. Have a healthy, but big breakfast. Now, I usually have a bowl of cereal and a banana which is enough for me until lunch, but different people have different needs. It will give you the energy and fluids you'll need for the day so you won't feel tired or like you're about to faint. It really does help. 3. Bring a water bottle for the drive up. This will definitely help you out, since you'll be drinking water in the cool air-conditioning and you won't be sweating it away. 4. Occasionally get free cups of ice water at drink stands or restaurants. The free ice water is really refreshing and you have an unlimited supply. And it's so much better than the nasty drinking-fountain water! Also, I like to rub the ice cubes on my arm...it just feels good! 5. Eat lunch! This one's pretty self explanatory! With all these you should be able to beat the heat and feel as energetic as possible, with no grogginess or feelings of about to faint. I hope this helps!
  13. The ride concept is awesome, but it's just too...cluttered. I'd hate for you to get rid of such an awesome idea, but it just looks like it doesn't fit and the cobra roll really shouldn't be there. I always thought the majority of the ride's layout should be on the opposite side of the tower than the turn, because it looks much less cluttered that way. Forgive me if I make no sense at all
  14. The i305 coaster actually is proportionate to real life, though it does look a little awkward in-game. Everything else is great, though!
  15. In a Youtube comment for X2....facepalm. In the same park as Superman! My god, I could barely understand it!
  16. You've really made a great atmosphere with this one, the second screen has to be my favorite.
  17. I'm guessing that it's nothing really that significant. They put it up to cause discussion on their facebook. What it is could be a small bit of the theming though.
  18. Wow, what a great journey it's been. I got chills reading the last update! Good luck in all your future projects as I'm sure they'll be as amazing as this! It's also a shame that the park won't be available for download, but lag is RCT3 is always inevitable...
  19. Just read the entire recap and timeline (very well written by the way, will you be showing screens of the waterpark, or no since it's 2012?), and this park really is amazing. So sad to let it go.
  20. @sfgamguy: For the parts of the ride without foliage, I was going for the "Canada's Wonderland"-esque feel with the empty fields. But thanks! @B.A.B: Thanks man! @MeMeMe: The short layout does tie in with the timeline, but you'll find out more of that later @hulahoop1: Sure thing, next update after this one I will! @Dotro: Thanks! I chose the green color scheme so it would hide itself beneath the trees, then pop out and scare the "guests" in the queue whenever a train comes by. But, a repainting in the future isn't out of the question ----- 1991 A lot of arguments within the executive offices have been brewing. Many of the board of directors disagree with the way the park's been evolving. I'll still stand by my opinions and ideas though, as CEO of the company. Hopefully things can settle down in the near future. New for this year is a new wrap-around pathway from the bridge to Carnivora. With it came new souvenir shops and restrooms, and a brand new Chaos flat ride aptly named "Chaos". The new area looks very nice and offers a nice amount of shade to get out of the heat! The new ride is a lot of fun! Carnivora is still a great ride after the off season. Hope to see you at the park soon! ----------- What do you guys think of the new area? -Braztaz
  21. The overview looks great, and I'll be sure to download it and give a more in-depth review later. From the one screen, the only complaint I have is the foliage: the larger trees would look much better with the smaller grasses zero clearanced onto the roots. It looks much more natural that way.
  22. ^I agree, it's ridiculously hot today! Anybody go Monday? I was planning on going Monday but decided to go next week to avoid the crowds.
