  2. This looks like a great revision so far!
  3. Rocky Mountain: How difficult was it to design a wooden coaster that does barrel rolls?
  4. Am I the only one who thinks that Spain has some really messed up fairs? Great TR BTW.
  5. I actually really like Magnum XL 200 at Cedarpoint. I wasn't sure about this ride when first went on it, but It ended up being one of my favorite coasters when I got off!
  6. I had a feeling Joypolis had some of those SEGA "Pee games", those look amazing! Great TR btw.
  7. A Disney cruise seems like something I need to do some day!
  8. ^^ Your welcome! If you do go, try to get the Vip wrist band, its $10 more but when I went, it seemed like nobody bought the vip wrist band, meaning that I didn't have to what longer then 10 minutes (Shipwreck was the only maze that wasn't a walk on for me.) ^ That funny thing is every time I've gone to fright fest, its always cheerleader day! But sad part about that is that I'm not exaggerating what so ever!
  9. Cool PTR. I was there on Sunday too, and as fare as mazes go, some where better than others. Here's my take on them: Massacre Mine- The new maze for 2012 and I have to say, my first time in this maze I was kind of disappointed. I went right around the time the mazes started to open, (Around 6 p.m.) and the first thing that surprised me was that it was an outdoor maze, seemed kind of unfitting for a mine themed attraction. Another thing was how the main part of the maze felt so crammed in there, and yes, they didn't have whole lot of room to work with, but it seemed like they could of done so much more. But, my disappointment pretty much faded away when a came back later when it was dark! Its almost a completely different maze at night! The actors were much more well hidden which meant they could scare much easier, and the darker lighting works so well with the whole mine them of the maze. So over all, I think next time they should open this maze about hour later because in the day time, its sort of, "meh." But its SO much better at night! I hope to see this return next year. Slaughter House Pig Farms- Once again this maze did not disappoint. The detail and theming of this maze was great, especially for a Sixflags park! The maze hasn't really change from last year, but they did fix some of the issues it had last year. Mainly the problem with people getting confused about the "Chicken exits", they where MUCH more clear on whats the chicken exit and whats not. The actors where also great in this maze as well, they scaring and just doing their job really well. But as much as a love this maze, it seemed to have had the shortest line out of all of the mazes, so I hope its staying for a few more Fright Fests. Captain Bloat's Shipwreck- This maze was SO much better then it was last year! Last year, although the maze was well themed and the actors seemed really into it, it was a very short maze and seemed like it could of been so much more. I think the park noticed this too, because this year, I came out loving this maze! It had every thing I liked about it before, but with even more detail and it was much longer! Also, it used the elements around it very well (Mainly the fish tanks), not only as theming, but as scare props as well! So over all, I'm really glad SFDK saw the potential that this maze as I had and made it great! Nightmare Manor- This maze was just as fun as it was last year. It has some great, well themed scenes as well as many great gags in there as well (you never know whats prop, some one trying to scare you). I'm always shocked about how long the maze is and how much they were able to fit in such a small space! So over all, great theming, they actors were doing great, and its just over all a well done attraction. Scrapyard of the Dead- Nothing has really changed in this maze, but nothing really should. Its a great outdoor maze that I find just as good in the day time, as I do at night. One think to note is that this maze is loud! Lots of people banging on walls and other objects. But I really do like this maze and I hope to see it back in all its glory next year!
  10. ^I don't know, I don't think the park needs ether of those, a drop tower wouldn't be to special (unless its some crazy prototype thing), and didn't this park already have a Ferris wheel? And besides, its not even the end of 2012, and someones already talking about what new ride the park should get in the future. So maybe we should just wait and see what SFDK has in store.
  11. ^ I find both trains to be equally as bad. The ride beats the crap out of you period.
  12. I'm going to change things up and quote somethings I said when I was "GP". For the record, I used to be one of those people who thought they knew everything about rides, but knew next to nothing. So I wouldn't be surprised if I ever ended up on this thread. I used to think that Renegade at VF was built in only two weeks in the middle of a snow storm. I used to stand up to hate for rides that I've never been on. As in "What do you mean you don't think Kingda Ka is the best thing ever created?!! " I thought that S&S towers didn't use cables and the car moved up and down completely by air.(That was thanks to RCT.) The list could go on, but those are just some of my golden moments.
  13. ^^Are you kidding me?! Of course its a real skyline! How could you forget classic attractions such as Christmas Tree: The ride, and Generic White Roller coaster?!
  14. Steel: Kingda Ka Wood: El toro
  15. Both those views are fantastic! I love that shot of Hair Raiser!
  16. ^How about a 7500' long, 250ft tall RCCA/Togo?
  17. ^ Really hope you meant to say "Gold Striker." And besides, Gold Striker isn't even open yet, so how can you compare the two?
  18. So you mad that CGA is seeing more business?
  19. SFDK's was closed as a precaution while the St. Louis incident was investigated, nothing has happened on SFDK's. Star Flyers are all over the world and don't have regular issues like this. I wouldn't lump them together. Plus it doesn't sound like Windseekers have a serious mechanical issue, more of a poorly thought out way to get the ride to come down when it shuts down as designed. I'm not sure how accurate that assumption is, but there it is. I wouldn't say I'm "Lumping them together". If thats what you got out of that then im sorry that I wasn't being as clear as I possibly could. What I'm saying is that we are seeing some Starflyers having some downtime and minor mechanical issues, thats all. And what do you mean by "Nothing happened on SFDK's Starflyer? "(I'm not being accusatory, I just don't know what you mean by this.)
  20. Interesting, it seems like these Starflyer style rides have been having some uses. I remember that the same thing happened to the Skyscreamer attractions last year, both SFstl's and SFDK's were closed to due to an accident. I wonder how long until the rides are back up and running?
  21. ^ Yeah, those trims have been removed for as long I can remember.
  22. ^Awesome! This coaster seems to be going up pretty quick!
  23. Wow, those pictures are amazing!!! I love how much detail you were able to get in each photo. Thanks for sharing this!
