  1. There's a plot of land behind the Superman pad and next to Roar. I've heard there's been a bit of work going on there lately, so my guess is that they will put it there.
  2. Tsunami Soaker looks like a really fun ride! Glad to see a another water ride in the park, especially since the current water rides have gotten kind of old and worn out.
  3. Really? Ive never felt any head banging in GL, it's a little painful on the legs but that just about it.
  4. My list has defiantly changed since the last time I posted- Best Steel: Xcelerator Worst Steel: Kong Best Wood: Gold Striker Worst Wood: Grizzly (But I would say Roar is getting really close, that thing has gotten ROUGH.) On a side note, whats going on with all the hate for Green Lantern? I really like that ride and all though I understand why someone might not like it, I don't get why people would put as low as the worst in the entire state.
  5. There's a rumor going around the internet that the park might get a Mack Aqua Twist much like La Ronde's. Although I usually don't trust rumors, I do think one would fit great at a park like SFDK, and the park could really use another water ride, especially considering how popular the current water rides are.
  6. Here's my top 5 of the types of b&m and coaster's I've been on, which is exactly 5! 1. Inverted: I LOVE me some old school b&m inverts, Flight Deck at CGA probably being my favorite, but the Batman clones and Raptor are great too! 2. Flying: Mainly up here because I like Tatsu so much, I'm not that big of fan of the Superman clones, but they are still fun. 3.Hyper: Now, I think these coasters are really overrated, I don't find much airtime on the ones ive been on (Nitro and Raging Bull), they're really more fun than they are amazing to me. 4.Floorless: I think the floorless coasters are very "New School" to me, 1 or 2 good elements and the rest is kind of lame. But I do like the first 3 inversions on Medusa in the back. 5.Standup: What can I say? These would be GREAT coasters if they went to uncomfortable, and the ones I've been on have gotten a bit rough.
  7. I payed the park a visit today. The crowds were pretty crazy, over a 1 hour wait for almost every major ride at the height of the day. Getting there early was a great idea, since there was a line of cars stretching back almost to the freeway off ramp, and thats just to get into the parking lot! That means since everyone was waiting to get in, almost every ride a walk on for close to an hour! That being said, the day was typical day at SFDK for me: enjoyed fun rides, ate overpriced food, and watched great shows! Here's a few little mini reviews of some the main attractions I did: Superman: A really fun, quirky coaster as always, still my favorite ride in the park! Roar: This ride is getting to be really brutal. The bottom of the first drop feels like some ones throwing you into a blender, same goes for the next few drops after it. Medusa: I used to love this ride, but it really doesn't do it for me anymore. The first 3 inversions in the back are great, but just about everything after that is pretty lame, its your typical "new school" B&M coaster. Drench!: Seemed pretty much the same as the old dolphin show was shown in dolphin harbor, which isn't at all a bad thing, since its always fun to see dolphins do cool dolphin tricks! Cirque Dreams SPLASHTASTIC: I wasn't to crazy about seeing this show because i'm just not a big fan of whole "artsy cirque" thing. But I did end up liking it because it was a very clever, fun, and well done production and I had a great time watching it!
  8. They do look like ride supports but I seriously doubt they are because I don't think there is a park looking to build a ride just in time for the off season. Don't some water parks like to build during the off season? They could be used for a water slide of some sort. And for the record, I don't think they're for a park either, i'm just throwing some ideas out there.
  9. ^^Those do look like ride supports. I wonder where they're heading, or what they're for?
  10. Going to X2 first is a good idea, it tends to get a long line VERY quickly. Back a few years ago, you could easily do the park in a circle, starting X2, then to Tatsu, then to Superman, and then do everything in the back until you make it to Goliath. But the additions of Drop of Doom and YOLOcoaster messed that up, since they can also get lengthy lines fairly quickly. So I would suggest doing X2 and YOLOcoaster first, and then get your Flash pass, since those 2 are only on the platinum pass and cost extra to add. Yolocoaster is also called YOLOcoaster, right? Or am I missing something. Yeah it is, this thread has filter that turns name "FT" into "Yolocoaster". Thought something like it. Thank you again for the quick response and the helpful hints. Just curious, why is it called Yolocoaster? Back when the park announced the ride, there was little pop-up in the beginning of the trailer video that read "You only live once", take a look!

  13. I love the just about everything about this coaster! My only fear is that its going to be your typical "new school" B&M coaster, meaning that it wont have that "kick" that a lot of B&M coasters did back in the 90's.
  14. What do you mean by "A permanent solution"? The stadium seems pretty permanent to me, and I think the fact the stage is on the water is pretty cool. I think its fine the way it is, unless your talking about something different regarding the stadium. Toyota Stadium is the former Shouka stadium. I was thinking of something different, sorry.
  15. Really? I was there the same day and I remember it only taking about 30 minutes from were I got in line, which was at the bottom of the ramp. But the line probably would have been about 10-15 minutes or even less if there were 2 trains running, especially considering how fast the ride crews were going.

I think its fine the way it is, unless your talking about something different regarding the stadium. It would be great to see the park do something with the 4d building. I personally think it would be really cool to see a tracked dark ride at the park, maybe using the 4d building as queue or part of the ride its self. But its not something I see happening anytime soon.
  17. It would be really nice to see a water park expansion, maybe a drop slide tower or a water coaster?
  18. I've never been to Knoebels. Is there something funny about that? They've been try to get that ride for open for YEARS, at this point, it seems like it will never open...
  19. ^ Yep, that was me. So, whats going on with those people noise testing in the office building next to GS? I know there was already a discussion about them, but what exactly are they try to prove? That the ride is to loud so the park needs to shut it down? Or the ride is to loud so they need to build a giant 100 ft tall solid brick wall around the ride, just so they can complain about how ugly the wall is? There's no such thing as "stop" to these people...
  20. ^Was your group the ones wearing the Gold Striker t-shirts on Saturday? I meant to ask if you were from TPR, but I never got around to it sadly. (I was the kid in the blue Dragster shirt if you saw me.) As for Gold Striker, it surprised the heck out off me! I had a feeling it was going to be good, but I didn't think it would end up as one of my favorite rides in the state! The ride is very smooth for a wood coaster (Yes, I know it just opened, but its still note worthy), has tons of those air time "pops", takes almost every element at a crazy fast speed, and it over all just a really, really fun ride!
  21. Wow, that thing really flies through that course! This looks like its going to be more fast-paced, out of control awesomeness from GCI!
  22. A TPR Steam group sounds great! Steam ID: Mr. Drew
  23. I have a bit random of a question, but how does fast-lane work? Does buying one mean that you can ride all the selected rides as many times as you want, or are you limited to one ride per ride?
  24. I believe you can touch the dolphins, because Ive seen many guests do so in the past. As for the price, I remember it being in the $10-$20 range.
  25. ^This^ And the fact that wing riders don't look that great to me, but I guess I'll never know until I get on one.
