OK, I really need to ask something here; how do you all KNOW Twisted Colossus will have insane ejector air? Have you rode it, seen it run, or anything besides construction and trailer video? The answer is no. So how can you say it is going to be the next El Toro when they haven't even started to run trains yet? I'm not trying to be a downer or hate on the ride, because believe me, I am just as excited as everyone else to get on this thing, but I feel that people really need to calm down and wait for the ride to open before they starting putting it on their top ten list. And yes, I do realize that TC is an RMC coaster, and most of the other RMC coasters are known for airtime, but that doesn't automatically mean that this ride is going to just through you out of your seat every chance it gets. Am I saying that TC wont have great airtime or be a great ride, no. Nor am I trying to start a war. I'm just trying to remind people that animations and looks only go so far, and it's not until the ride is open that we can find out if the ride has lots and lots of

That's one funky looking loop! Should be some cool hang-time at the top. -

I remember hearing something about the forces on Cobra being around the 5-6g range, and it sure does look like it! Yet another wild creation from Pax. -
What is your favorite Roller Coaster?

Hope you don't mind if I give this thread the ol' revival treatment. I really can't pick just one, so it's any of these four masterpieces: -
I'm sure if they wanted to they could since RMC treatment's aren't all that expensive, but I don't know why they would do something like that. Grizzly is a popular attraction with families and even though it is a bit boring to coaster nuts, the "GP" seem to enjoy it the way it is. What they could do is build is a brand new RMC coaster in the invertigarden area, but since they just opened a crazy wooden coaster, I doubt it will happen anytime soon. And about the lively thing, that has been one of the park's main focuses in the past couple of years, which is why we finally saw the new woody and lots of much needed painting done around the park.

Any weekday at the park this early in the year is usually going to be pretty quiet. My advice is to show up at the park early and head over to the Superman area as soon as the rope drops. Once there, you can easily get on Superman, Roar, and V2 (If it's open) in just a few minutes, and with lines short enough for plenty of re-rides. Once your done with that area, head over to Medusa and it should only about a 10-15 minute wait tops, since the park is usually pretty dead the first hour of opening. Then you can make your way back towards the back of the park and make a full circle. That is what I do when I go there, and it works out really well. One thing you should keep in mind is that a large crowd doesn't always mean long lines. SFDK attracts a lot families, so there has been days were the park was completely packed with people but rides like Medusa were a walk on. If your into animals and or shows, you show also keep in mind that the park has a ton of animal shows including a tiger show, bird show, and 2 dolphin shows. So don't forget to pickup a schedule at the front of the park if your interested! Hope this helps!

Does anyone know how that new Dare Devil Chaos looping thing is coming along? I know that not a lot of people on here are paying much attention to it since it isn't a 500ft tall RMC 4th dimension aquatrax with fire and fog, but it seems like a fun little ride and I'm curious on when they might have it open by.

I think the main reason MM isn't building massive record breakers anymore is mostly due to budget limitations. I think it was posted a little while back on this thread that SF parks can spend around $15 million per year, which when you consider the average price of a giga these days is in the neighborhood $30 million, that's probably probably why we haven seen anything insane like that in a while. But don't think I'm complaining. Thanks to these new restrictions, the parks seems to be focusing more on building rides that are just flat out good rather than a bunch of insane prototypes, as well as some much over due tlc around the park such as fixing up the kids area and Scream's new paint. That's not to say MM won't one day bring the west coast their very own I305, but for now I think it's just going to be smaller projects. (Which again, is a good thing!)

Legend has it MM approached B&M first but B&M I think either wanted too much money and/or didn't feel comfortable at the time building so high. Either way I don't see how B&M could've done much more with Goliath given the relatively small space it was put in. I agree. If you want to take a look at what B&M could have done, all you need to do is take a trip to SFGAm and visit their local hyper.

It's the latest rumor on Scream Scape. www.screamscape.com/html/six_flags_discovery_kingdom.htm Apparently SFDK and SfGadv are both going to get them next year, and I think it would be a pretty cool edition to the parks! I rode one of the "newer" Larson loops at the state fair a few years ago, and I thought it was great, so a 70ft+ tall one would be awesome!

OK let's see here: SFDK: 2015: Mega-lite(I don't care who makes it, just have it replace kong) 2016: A big Arrow 4D coaster(Yes, I said Arrow) 2017: A crazy safari themed log flume 2018: A launched Intamin prefab woody 2019: A crazy 150ft ARM/Larson drop tower! 2020: An Aqua trax that dives through the shark tank CGA: 2015: BIG over haul (Referb all the old attractions and bring them back to there former glory) 2016: Intamin Hyper 2017: Intamin Blitz that has multiple launches and goes all around the park 2018: RMC Treatment for Grizzly 2019: Mega-lite(Why not?) 2020: A Schwarzkopf style looping coaster from Gerstlauer That would be perfect.

I don't know what it is, but the park seems so much... CLEANER! It could just be the photos, but everything looks a lot more spiffed up since the last time I was there, which was only a little less then a year ago. Flight deck does look nicer now, but I do miss the old black paint job, made the ride look more bad a$$ if you ask me.
