  1. Awesome! I can't wait to ride this! Depending on when I get out there, this may be my first stand up coaster! =]
  2. It didn't look like regular track. I only got a quick glance at it but it looked just like the track that was installed on Tremors or whatever coaster got the topper track. It was also said that Rocky Mountain was at the park a few days ago.
  3. As most of you probably know, Cyclones getting track topper as we speak. I drove by the park on saturday and they were working on the big drop after the turn around.
  4. Great Pictures! It's always awesome to see what a park looks like in the winter months! =]
  5. ^I could agree more! Parks during the winter to me are so beautiful! I hope to make it out there sometime and check it out!
  6. ^I've heard that story so many times it ridiculous! I also heard he may have been drunk, but that's also a rumor.
  7. Also the last ride of the Comet was an accident, the last car on the train jack kniffed coming to a stop and was left like that for years.
  8. The park closed because it owed $48,000 in taxes and $13,000 in unpaid police details. A few years ago a condo company bought the land and the parking lot was starting to be torn up, but for what ever reason stopped and the land is for sale again.
  9. Better yet what about Cyclone at SFNE! That coaster would once again be the amazing beast it once was! Every time I look at these photos it makes me more and more excited to ride this coaster! I can't wait to get out there this summer and try to hit it up! =]
  10. No problem haha, We didn't stay that long and i'm most likely going to go back to take some more pictures. If you guys want to see anything else just let me know! =]
  11. So after getting lunch with a friend today, we decided that we should head over to Lincoln Park for a little bit and take some pictures. The Park closed in 1987 and has been rotting away ever since. Sorry in advance but i took the pictures with my phone so their not that great. Walking into the parking lot you see the parks signature attraction. The Comet! The Lift Hill and 2nd Drop have collapsed over the past few years. =[ What once was the 2nd hill. The Station has also collapsed. Even after 23 years, you can still see its colorful entryway! The turn over the entrance. Random trash can. The Old Train Station. Speedway Sign The old Sound Wall. The Pizza Stand. Inside of the Pizza Stand. Mini Golf Stand. Note: If you look threw the window, that red tables where they used to store the clubs! =] The Dodgems building has also collapsed. An old park bench. And this mound of ash used to be the parks ballroom. Its really a shame that this once beautiful park has been treated with such neglect. I hope everyone enjoyed the pictures and if you want better angles on anything, ill try to head back to the park and get them for you.
  12. Awesome find! I've always wanted to see some old Xtreme Park commercials but could never really find any good ones. =]
  13. Wow Great Tread! I love learning about the history of old amusement parks, I'm about 15 minutes from one, Lincoln Park, Dartmouth MA. Thanks for giving me a new park to do research on! =]
  14. The plus side is that the skater isn't going to be called Kid's Coaster! =]
  15. Cyclone at Six Flags New England <3 =]
  16. Hey everyone, My name is Kevin. I'm from New Bedford, MA. My home park is Six Flags New England. Everyone knows me as the kid who knows everything about coasters, even tho i really don't lol. I love to have fun. Theme Parks, Soccer, Drumming, and Clubbing are a few things that keep me entertained. Not that it really matters but I'm Bi. I love meeting new people. If you want to chat IM me, AIM: Soccasayswat. Just let me know your from where! =] Hope to hear from everyone!
  17. I really wish SFNE would do something like this to either the bumper cars or the tea cups. They really have the opportunity to change these rides up for fright fest, but the only thing they do for rides is change Houdini into a haunted house. =[
  18. I just signed up for the UK Tour and I'm on the waiting list. Just keep up hope! Hopefully we both make it and have the times of our lives, just stay optimistic! =]
  19. I 'm pretty sure that Batman: The Dark Knight at SFNE has something that says B&M on it, but i don't think it was the company that did it, but the park itself.
  20. My parents let me skip school to go to the public opening of Bizzaro at SFNE! So I drove the 2 hour drive, i made it on the first train, bought my picture, rode it once more, then left. =] Also when I was little I used to go to Lincoln Park, North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, which closed in 1987. I just walk around and find things such as the coasters trains, bumper car cars, flying cages cages, and the mini golf fountain. So far this year, every single one of my college papers have been on roller coasters or roller coaster related! Finally, i'm going to college to one day be a roller coaster designer/engineer, not sure which one yet. I'm such a nerd but i love it =] lol
  21. I'm planning on taking a trip out there between Christmas and New Years. I'm hoping the lines are decent, last time i went to SFMM was around this time in 2002 and the lines were crazy!
  22. Hey Everyone... I'm planning a trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain and I need everyones help badly... I'm planning to go mid to late August and I was wondering since it is the end of summer... 1.How are the crowed? 2.Are the kids back to school yet? 3.What should i skip? 4.If you get flash pass, do you have to pay more money to go on X2?... according to the site you do but i wasn't sure if it was for the old one or not. 5.Is Flash pass even worth it? 6.Best place to eat? 7.The food around the same price as every other six flags park? 8.Best times to hit what ride? I haven't been to the park since 2002 when i was in 6th grade, so i dont really remember much of anything. So I need everything in detail. Oh and any tips you use at the park, please tell. Thanks so much -Kevin
  23. Chances are we're only going to Six Flags, Cedar Fair, and Busch Garden Parks with maybe a few exceptions =] Im gonna talk to them again through and try to go on a TPR trip =]
  24. Thats for the advice but this isn't going to be as costly as everyone on here is going to think. I'm not saying its gonna be like wicked cheep but we me and a few of my friends do have ways to save money. My friends and i have family in California, Florida, Maryland, Ohio, and Virginia. We have had the idea to go camping at some places. We're prob not even going to eat theme park food. But just go to a local Shaws or Stop n Shop. When we do go to hotels were just gonna look for something with a bed shower and maybe a pool. All 3 or 4 of us are going to drive so we can take turns sleeping and keep driving. We plan on bringing $2,000-$3,000 each for gas, prob $1,000 for tolls, $3,000 for hotels and like $2,000 for food and maybe 1 or $2,000 for just random stuff. So i do know this trip will be Very Very Very exspensive but what ever, thats what makes us happy then so be it. I've also talked to my friends about going on a TPR trip and they dont wanna go on one just because they wanna have the choice to go where ever they want and just change where we go.
