THAT'S WHAT I SAID!!!! CF these days... I'll trust the opinions of the executives at CF that worked on the ROI analysis over the thoughts of kids not in the industry. Lol I am in the industry. While I'm not high up in it by any means, I am in it. Anyways, did anyone else hear the 550ft 4D stand up rumor? -

^^ You also have to remember that they are going to need be maintained. If one of those breaks, chances are they are not going to be cheap to fix. Granted it will be profitable for maybe a year or two, but that's not something you should be spending a million dollars on. That million could have gone to general park improvements or towards another ride that would be more profitable. -

^ Why bother even putting it in then? Lol I know if I was managing a park, I would want my newest attraction to have a life span of atleast 15 years, not 3. -
Hidden treasures/left overs

Four things that come to mind right away at SFNE are... - The old splash down area for Shipwreck Falls (now closed) once held a jungle cruise attraction during its riverside days. - Across from where Shipwreck Falls was, next to the New England Skyway station is a sign that says "Eddies Fish Market". Eddie was one of the previous owners of Riverside. Also in the Rockville section of the park, there is Fast Eddies Diner, also named after the owner. - Back in I believe 1998, Riverside added "Hellavator", an S&S Turbo Drop. When Six Flags bought the park in 2000, they added onto the tower I believe an extra 50ft and added two more towers to make Scream! The Hellavator tower is the one closest to Thunderbolt. If you look closely, you can see the red paint comming threw. Also that tower can only run Turbo Drop, while the other two can do all three modes, drop, shot, and combo. - If you look between skyway and scrambler, there is a little stair case that now leads to a smoking area and a path that goes to a fence. That staircase and path used to be the que for the Riverside Cyclone. The Que would go up the hill, go to the right, then would cut threw the structure, follow the first drop and break run, then up the stairs you go up today. Sometime during the years, the park decided to change where you would enter to the otherside of the station. When they did this, they had a long straight ramp with a large set of switch backs. The old line became the exit and they added a photo booth. In 2006, Catapult took up the site of the switch backs, and the current que n exit you see now was made. The original Que was demolished but you can still see the places in the structure the line would have went. Also you can still see the old photo booth from the current line! -
What's your favorite Flat ride?

I have always loved Chance Chaos! I'm also a huge fan of Screamin' Swings, Sky Swatters, & Top Scans. -
Why can't you? Parks do it all the time. A perfect example is when Six Flags New England had Nightmare Island in the lazy river a few years ago. Also they just introduced Slayers Lair this took place on the water parks midways. If the pools did get dirty by foot traffic, all they would have to do is power was the pools once it got warmer. IMO haunt mazes in the water parks is a no brainer! Why not make use of areas of the park that would normally be closed for no reason!

I believe the "magic" temperature for Ninja is anything above 55. Anything colder and the ride may valley. I could be slightly off on that temperature, but I'm sure that I'm pretty close there. 55 degrees seems a little warm for it to be too cold for it to valley. Im not an expert on Ninja or anything but I know that most rides tend to have trouble operating at temps around 35 degrees. I really hope that socal doesn't have a cold spell around wcb. I really want my Ninja credit!
