  1. Anything that replaces asphalt in an amusement park is a good thing.
  2. ^ Keep on dreamin, they gave you guys your day....when the park was closed!
  3. Everytime I see WW it makes me want to go just that much more, and I'm not a water park person! Thanks for the update!
  4. Maybe we will see Robb's Win7 machine in a TPR Bag of Crap one day
  5. I'll give Danny this much, at least he's trying to help those of us (myself included) who don't think there's much hope, understand, his side of the story. Still, I would pick up my ball and take it somewhere that embraced me with open arms and bent over backwards trying to do whatever possible to get me to bring my money, investors, etc to their city.
  6. ^^ Now that's impressive. ^ I'm patiently awaiting a response to something simliar to what you are saying...
  7. Continuing to enjoy your travels, thanks again for taking the time to share.
  8. Serious Question to Danny - Taking away the time it took for the city to regain control of the park, it has still been a good bit of time since they've regained control of the park. Given that, what level of confidence do you have that city government still wants an amusement park? We've all seen various reports and ideas for things other than an amusement park for that parcel float to the surface and then drown, yet, they haven't moved forward with giving you control. Secondly, what would you use to be a draw to get the tourists out of the bars and down to the parks' location? An entertainment complex similar to what Univeral or Disney has for after hours perhaps? Or a resort complex to keep them there? Thanks.
  9. The ONLY reason I would see Invertigo going to CP is to up their count to even the score with MM.
  10. yeah, it's those roller coaster tycoon moments they don't want you to know about. I'm just disappointed my watermark didn't self destruct the picture as designed, must go back to the drawing board!!!
  11. I don't think that NBA gig was much of a money maker for them. I was kinda shocked when they announced, seemed like a waste of resources to open for four days, then down again for three weeks to me.
  12. ^ but they can wash the watermark off...
  13. Well, here is something rather funny. I've been playing the claw at work and from time to time I like to take advantage of the character animations, specifically with the pickle sticking out its tongue. Well, the noise it makes was heard in a high level meeting yesterday. The boss' said it sounded like a fart noise and have asked everyone on the floor that if it was them making the noise to cease and desist. Opps.
  14. Bring it on! My watermark is specially trained to detect intruders. If tampered with, it will implode the picture within seconds and leave nothing but the watermark. Go Go Gadget Watermark
  15. So I viewed the original pictures when this thread was created and never came back. I thought the pictures were decent, but really didn't see them as being top of the line, but good. The watermark killed them. I saw the watermark reference on the forum title, and then Chris' avatar and performed a search and landed back here. I've spent the last 15 minutes looking at this thread. You just can't script this stuff, it's just too good. As a bit of a disclaimer and or background, I've had some of my Texas Giant photos posted here appear on other forums. One forum had one of my posts word for word with no ref to TPR and I was like WTF? and called them out on it. Problem solved. To paraphrase a conversation with Robb on the topic, one should feel good about themselves if someone else likes your stuff so well that they use it (even if they claim it's there own work). And I totally agree. I was stoked when my crappy cell phone pictures (which Robb helped get on the site while I was at the park) and subsequent HD photos of the train on the maintenance track flew across the internet. And honestly, I didn't care, and still don't. What took me by surprise were that people were taking my future PTR's word for word and posting as their own with no reference to TPR. I really didn't care they used them, I just ask for a little respect. As in hey, I was trolling TPR, found this stuff posted by XXX and thought you'd like to see it, or, just post a link back to TPR. It's not hard. 95% of the time I give credit where credit is due. The other 5% I either don't know who to give credit to or forget. Bottom line is, after much reflection and philosophical thinking, if you post it, and it's good, people will take it. Nothing is safe on the internet, just ask Sony, WB, MGM, etc. Deal with it. No one is going to want to buy a 800x600 photo for their product brochure. It's been my experience they want the original. So with that, I went out to SFOT today and grabbed some shots of the New Texas Giant's Black train testing. Enjoy.

  19. Just lost again. Some loser is in line 4 times with a 1, 2, 3, 4 after their name, all in a row. Tried for the zebra thingy, but no bueno. Maybe they'll throw the shirts in later and I can snag one.
  20. as per usual, he shows that he has the integrity, honor, and respect of any good CEO
  21. Dear Mr. Big Mike, I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting you as my first TPR trip will be this summer and first bash will be WCB. However, I have enjoyed reading your previous writings and certainly enjoy your current ones, not to mention hearing of all the stories about Big Mike from the new friends I've made on TPR. Many thanks to you. Oh, and one other thing: "Big Mike, I would like to enter the contest because my favorite part of The Big Mike Road Show are the descriptive descriptions." Peace.
