  1. ^ It's been on practically every Saturday since the first of the year. You'd think a show that, let's say, outdated, they'd want to put a disclaimer at the end of the show telling you it's closed and not to bother going, ever.
  2. Boogie Bahn – Challenge the wave on Kansas City’s only surfing ride. Rapids River -- Float through a series of rushing rapids on the park’s longest river attraction. Comal Express & Loopy Luge – Race through banked curves on two head-first mat slides. Der Bahn – Take a tube and swish down a fully enclosed tube slide in the dark. Blitz Falls – Ride an Aqua Veyer uphill then float through a whitewater rapids tube chute
  3. I wish I could tell you what the non-skill games (slots) payouts are, but I'm sworn to secrecy for the next many years. What I can say is that 88% payback is as low as they can legally go. In other words, 12% is the most a Nevada casino can keep on slots. If a machine is advertised to payback X percent, then the theoretical payback probability must be said percent or they risk losing their license. It's no secret, and public information, that one can figure payout % from P&L reports and NGCB required reports. Those suggest, and are often published in magazines, advertisements, etc, a Las Vegas slot payback in the average of 91-96%, some more, some less, which I can say is a solid bet. Now, you have to remember that some machines are set high and some low and that can vary with floor placement, jackpot award amount, or the requirements of the game or vendor. Those smaller casinos that have a lease on the machines make even less money but don't have to worry about maintenance. Skill games, well, the variables are endless. Number of decks of cards, type of shuffler, players around you, when cards are placed in an auto shuffler, cut placement, deck changes, etc. etc. Having had worked in the casino/hospitality industry for more than 5 years, I can say the property owned restaurants mainly hoped to just break even plus 10-20%. The restaurants are basically a convenience for the guests with low profit margins.
  4. 10 Days until the annoucement of when the Giant will roar again. There ad says the Giant is an all new Super Hybrid Coaster built from the ground up with the Steepest Drop of a Wooden Coaster. hmmmmmmm......... SFOT FB
  5. So basically all I've missed that past however many pages is that I-305 is put back together and the trims are gone. Sweet. Hopefully 2012 will allow me to return and marathon it, too many parks on the agenda for me this year. Oh, and I'm totally counting Intrimlessdator as a Jeff Johnson credit. Afterall, it has *some* new track.
  6. Can't we just bury this park already?
  7. ^^ Hey! I'm a crazy midwest Wacko who still likes Prowler! However, I'll admit, El Toro is better.
  8. This is fantastic, instead of coming in early for the NE, I can just stay late and still hit all of the "small" parks that I want to!
  9. Thanks again for the update Big Mike! See you at WCB!
  10. A quick look at the events calendar shows the 19th as "Physics" day at the mountain. They are also listing WCB, however, it's listed as an enthusiasts event and not a TPR event. Suppose "Physics" day is book all of those rooms...
  11. Assuming they would actually be able to fit thru the front door...or in their prius.
  12. The "better than normal sex" salad had me salivating. Now I just have to make it down to BGT later this year and get one myself Thanks for sharing, this is simply amazing. I've never been on a cruise, but between your ongoing photo collection and those posted of the Disney ship last week, I'm ready to book.
  13. What type of or how much power will be required for the three launched sections?
  14. Hi there, I have been to CP opening week in May a few times and the crowds are light to non existent with the exception of the school's that come out. Of course the top three coaters will have managebale lines, but mostly everything is as close to walk on as you can get. If you don't have a season pass, staying at one of CP's hotels will give you access to the park one hour early. Saturdays are typcially the busiest day of the week, not sure how CP's are in May as I try hard to avoid Saturday's like the plaque at any park. They also offer package deals, again if you don't have a Season Pass, that give you a generous discount on admission if staying in their hotel. Normally I stay around the Cleveland area and drive out but that's only because I've either had business that direction or want to check out things in the Cleveland area. Most of the hotels in Sandusky aren't top tier but will get the job done.
  15. ^ Wow, all caps, I'm impressed, the Title Fairy must really like you...
  16. With all of the code violations at the Rio during their "remodel" I'm surprised it's still standing. One thing most have probably forgot about is the add-on they did to house the WSOP. I could be wrong, but I don't think any of the Ceasar's properties on the strip have the sq footage and required NGCB setup to host it. What I'm really shocked to see is the Aliante Station still around, over built like Red Rock IMHO. Of course in the end, the brothers managed to drive the company to bankruptcy.
  17. Just got my prize from the Santa Claw!! A nice green ball. You know, it really is true about the post office, 15 inches of snow, and they still delivered, and the best part is, they delivered to the correct address!!!!
  18. That place barely qualifies as a casino by today's standards. Tables and Slots are few, not a lot of variety and cramped. The best part of the Hard Rock is the pool.
