That's awesome that SFGAm setup the lights and DJ at Viper. Really nice touch. -

$45,000,000 worth of coasters is a bit much for 1 season. -

My personal opinion is that KK and TTD feel the same in terms of acceleration. A major difference however is that KK's launch is significantly rougher than TTD's. The end of KK's launch gives a nice jolt right as the train disengages the catch car. -

Best thing in the Huss catalog! Thanks for sharing. -
It's hit or miss with them running both sides of S:EFK. The past 2 times (February and May) they have had both sides running. The line is split at the entrance so even with both sides running you can still wait 30-45 minutes in the tunnel for the side you chose. In terms of power consumption, I'd say the top 3 are Roaring Rapids, Jet Stream, and FT/S:EFK.

But why? You can't have two trains in the same block and If they're operating both stations, there will almost always be 2 trains in the station block... Gosh, this is really hard to explain. I know exactly how it works, but typing it makes it not seem to make sense... Here's my best shot: The station is both a single block and two blocks. It's a single block because in the progression of a train on the ride, you will never get to go from one station to another without going through the other blocks first. In other words, you can't go station (left), lift, station (right), first brakes, second brakes, station (left), so the ride acts as if it is not a separate block... However, obviously if one of the stations is empty, the ride can send the next train into the proper station for it to sit there. More or less, for the purposes of the units on the track, once it has parked in the station it 'disappears' until it is sent out again... Oh heck, that doesn't sound right either. Hope someone can sort of get what I'm saying here. The evolution of B&Ms blocking system is actually rather interesting, as their early rides blocked in a different way then their newer rides do. I'm not sure exactly when the change happened, but older B&M rides do not allow the trains to advance into a block unless the block directly in front of it is clear. Newer ones make an exception to this - they will advance the train directly behind the other in the station block. It totally makes sense from a capacity standpoint (and it does other stuff too, all good, at basically no risk), but it actually helps to disguise the exact blocking of the rides a little bit. This is exactly right. The station is basically 1 block split in 2 as it has 2 separate tracks. Most (If not, All) dual-station coasters operate on this same principal. CA Screamin @ DCA is another example. On topic: I truly do hope Stengel is involved in this coaster. Might be another reason for me to visit Ohio again. -

Does Tatsu's dual-load station count for a 5th block? Always wondered about that... Excellent question, and I would say yes. Tatsu's station counts as 1 block. -

Yes and no. Leviathan has a mid-course the same way Tatsu @ SFMM does. The mid-course is at the end of the ride just before the safety brakes. So in both of these instances there technically is a MCBR however it just happens to be at the end of the ride. Only difference being that Tatsu only has 4 blocks (Station, Lift, MCBR (Block Brake), and Transfer aka Station approach) where as Leviathan has 5. -

It would be if Stengel was still designing B&Ms coasters. We can only hope and pray that they hired him to design this one...... Not the same, but Millennium Force, I305, just to name a couple.. I'm sure they're are more. There doesn't appear to be any MCBR on this ride. I:305 only runs 2 trains. -
Scream: There is absolutely no excuse for a coaster that has 3 trains to ever have only 1 train operation with the exception of off-season Jan-Mar. Scream rarely has a line but with 1 train during the summer the line can get past the entrance which is waaaaaay too long of a wait for Scream. Goliath: Rarely runs 3 trains anymore even though during the peak season June-Labor day it should run 3 trains as it 1 of the most popular coasters in the park.

I'm not talking about the Windseeker downtime issues. I'm just pulling the purchase data. Buying multiple flat-rides in 1 transaction is smart as they are cheaper than a coaster. IE: 4 Windseekers (5 million each) cost less than I:305 (25 million) @ KD. With that said, buying 4 of those in 1 year would be a very dumb business move.
