My guess would be for appeal. Many people can ride the large airtime machines, but not the looping coaster sitting next to it. I've noticed over the years that the non-looping coasters tend to have longer lines than ones with inversions. Of course, we have seen the very large looping coasters out there, but few were successful.

^ You left out the part where the damn thing keeps vibrating until you get to the ride! I used one at Dollywood a few years ago, and I was on the train when my time came up for Wild Eagle. That thing drove me crazy with its constant reminders!

Their website says that prices for this year will be available in the Spring. It also looks like Goliath is only available on Platinum.

It's obviously not been retracked correctly. If they simply gave it a proper retracking, it would ride much better. There was a point when this ride ranked pretty high in the polls.

They're not behind at all. There's still plenty of time left. Unless there's some cataclysmic storm there this winter, it'll be ready for opening day.

That's what it was like when I visited the park that same weekend last year. With the excruciatingly slow operations on Titan, it was a 45 minute wait just in the station.

Nice trip report! This is a park I definitely want to hit up next year. To answer your question about the "track watering," I'm sure it's to keep the brakes cool. Slowing down those heavy trains causes a lot of heat from the friction.

I think registration starts around March. When I did it in 2012, you had to raise at least $25 to participate in the marathon. I think if you raised $75 or $100, you got a wristband (but they ended up giving them to everyone that day). They gave out really nice prizes for the top three fundraisers, one of which was a VIP tour for four.

Being stuck seven feet off the ground inside of an air-conditioned building must be pretty miserable.

According to RCDB, the new Parc Sindibad in Casablanca, Morocco has been pushed back to 2015. The park will feature a Gerstlauer Eurofighter called Serpent and another unknown coaster. LINK
