Not only is it tiny, they half fill it with crushed ice and soda then fill the rest with whatever foam goes with your chosen concoction. It's legit only half full of liquid. -

I've tried 2 flavors at bblz. Birthday Kiss and Melon Baller. I will say that while they were different and my kids really liked them, they were not (IMO) worth $7.49. Not even a little bit. The frosting is smeared on the outside of the bubble cup and is a mess. The bubbles are not easily cleaned and I refused to toss it for that much money so we walked around with sticky plastic balls in the heat. You can see how small they are in comparison to the Coke bottle next to it. If the cost doesn't make you say no and if the weird mix of flavors doesn't scare you away (mint chocolate Pepsi anyone? ) then go for the experience. I personally won't do it again. -

I have to agree with the others on Skyrush. I'm an adrenaline junkie and this coaster delivers every single ride. Only 2 of my kids will ride with me though and my oldest isn't a fan. After my first ride I said "I think that literally just tried to kill me for riding it". I could ride over and over all day. However I also don't have the problem with the restraint crushing my thighs. I'm 5'2 though so that may make a difference. I also said perhaps a different type of restraint or the ability to put your feet on the floor in the middle seats would make it more rideable for more people. All in all though it's my favorite steel coaster out there. -

You are saying this about the people that to this day complain about the condor ride being removed and the rapids ride being removed a couple years ago. And did you see that one guy in the comments that was upset because Hersheypark removed a little scene from the train ride? The people of Hershey never forgive and never forget. A couple years? More like 9. Almost a decade and people still insist with every new ride announcement that the rapids is making a comeback. They hold a grudge like crazy -

The preview hours are a great time to get the Hollow coasters in (Skyrush, SDL, and Comet). Also Great Bear as well. Last time I went on a Friday evening we had no problems hitting everything at the front of the park. -

Don't waste your 75 bucks. Download the app. It's fairly accurate with wait times and you can set alerts to let you know when ride times get down to what you want to wait. Hit Fahrenheit or Laff Trakk first as they get the longest lines then go all the way back to LR and work your way forward. Skyrush dies down in the late afternoon so no worries on missing that one. I'm not positive but I don't think there are any remaining single rider lines. Fahrenheit had one but that's the Fast Lane line now. -

I believe Derry Township has height restrictions. Skyrush is the tallest we'll see unless the first drop tunnels down to make a bigger drop. -

All of them to varying degrees. They will run everything as long as they safely can. Some things will close faster than others. I think Skyrush will close in a light rain for example, while LR will run until the rain comes down a little harder. Everything will shut down with a lightning strike within something like a 5 mile radius of the park. -

I saw posts in the Hershey FB group this weekend that stated that while they were only running one train in the mornings, the 2nd train had made it into operations halfway through each day. I hope that's the case. I was there on Saturday from park opening until 8:30 that night and only saw launches from the right side (as you sit on the train) of the station. The wait times I saw were never less than 60 minutes, it was never a walk on. My daughter and I watched closely on the app as its her favorite ride in the park. -

I was at the park Saturday as well. I don't know how true this is (information was gotten from a teen employee) but what I heard regarding Storm Runner was that the train was damaged very badly upon morning testing and has been out of service since. Maybe someone with better inside information can confirm or deny this. Sounds like most of the summer will have one train operations. -

Well, that's your call. The littlest one, who's now 28 months, has been on three kiddie coasters and a larger number of flat rides once she started walking, and aside from one ill-fated Scrambler run at Knoebels last year, has loved just about everything she's been on. Her second trip to Hershey was much more well received than the initial one, and she'll be coming back later this year, since we're spending two days at the park for my son's sixth birthday.quote] We took our Daughter to Hershey for her first real park when she was 18 months old, she loved the rides, and later that same year we went to Story Land in NH which was perfect, all but a couple allowed her to ride. My daughter now loves rides and roller coasters and I hope to get her on even more this summer, Shes on the smaller side so its tough to find parks that allow kids under 42" and be worth it for her. But the few I find she cant wait to visit, she loves watching videos of them too. Its never too soon to get them on and loving them. I think it's more concern currently. I hope she loves amusement parks and I can take her from a really young age. The nice thing about Hersheypark is there is ZooAmerica if we find she hates the rides. (man I hope she loves rides). I think I just took a more extreme thought due to the current concern, it will probably go way better than I'm expecting. Does anyone have an opinion on Saturday vs. Sunday for smaller crowds? I am planning on going this Saturday and I'm dreading the crowds but my daughter will be in from out of town so Saturday it is. If I had to pick a weekend day it would be Sunday. This is also the first weekend in our area that all of our schools are out for the summer so the crowds are likely to be full on summer crowds. -

Easily over an hour on a busy day. I haven't made it over to the park yet this season but last year we went there first thing and even at park opening the line was a half hour. -

What about June 10th? Are Sundays lighter?[/quot Sundays seem to be better than Saturday but that's relative also. Weekends are busy. If you use the preview night option, the park is still do-able on the weekend. Skyrush clears out in the late afternoon. Great Bear and LaffTrak are busy all day. Use the app. It seems to give you a decent idea of wait times. Not always super accurate but not terrible either. -

June 3rd is graduation for a lot of the high schools in our area. My son is actually graduating at the Giant Center in the park complex that day. You may be ok in the sense that the locals will be busy and crowds potentially will be lighter. -

This just came to mind. The bridge from Jersey to Philly on PA Route 276 (I think that's the right route number) is closed as it is structurally deficient. It may take longer to get around that area. I'm not sure what the suggested detour is. -

You have full access to the park. You can really pack a lot into those 2.5 hours. Gives you a little wiggle room on your full day. -

Our schools are still in session. My kids don't have off that day so I'm going to assume that the other districts also don't have off. Crowds shouldn't be terrible unless there is an event at the stadium. I happened to go during a high school band festival last year and it was awful. Just check the Hersheypark Stadium schedule to make sure. -

Not only is traffic awful on 322 to get from Harrisburg to Hershey, I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to stay in Harrisburg proper. I still say do Gettysburg in the morning, check into a hotel either in Mechanicsburg, Camp Hill (both cheaper but slightly longer drove, about 30 minutes), or Hershey itself (more expensive but closer to the park), do the preview night then a whole day the following. Drive the hour and 15 minutes to Dorney and knock that out in the morning then hit up Knoebel's for the evening and next 2 days. -

amy_mel replied to ytterbiumanalyst's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Gettysburg is the one item that is way out of the way. It's over 2 hours from Philly and still an hour and a half minimum from Hershey. I live 45 minutes north of Gettysburg and a half hour west of Hershey. If you really want to see Gettysburg I'd try to pair that with your preview night at Hershey. Then maybe put Dorney (an hour and 15 from me) with a half day at Knoebel's. -

I wasn't familiar with Mysterious Mansion so I googled it to see what it was. Where hours would normally be listed it says permanently closed. I hope that the owners can find a way to recover from what I'm sure is a devastating loss. Prayers to everyone affected in that area.
