^^ We'd feel saltier than salted peanuts baked into a salted pretzel and dipped in seawater. -

^ So Maybe the flying coaster is still in debate. The track style is the same and it's the only one that allows for inverting the track before an inversion. -

^ This is Cedar Fair and new age B&M we're talking about. We're most likely going to see an awesome looking coaster, but rides like meh. -
^The thing is, the longer the line, the more flash passes are going to sell. From a consumer standpoint, it's crap. But from a business standpoint it's pure genius! I would agree with what you said, but if you were to present the idea to a CEO of the corporation or a manager, it wouldn't sound like english to them.

^It's America. Our GP prefer loopy loops over actual intensity.

I don't think Markey knows what he's doing. The accident appears to have no mechanical malfunction liked to it and that's the only thing the gov can regulate. Going to an amusement or theme park is VOLUNTARY not REQUIRED. You don't need to ride a roller coaster like you need to take the subway to work. If the consumer feels its unsafe, they don't come, the park makes no money, it goes out of business. But if a train derails and kills say 15, you still need to take that line to work then next day. The amusement industry is one of the very few that thrive on safety. Just a thought, aren't roller coasters safer than trains at this point. Trains derail, coasters wheels clasp the track. Trains blast into their station at 20 mph and have an open platform, coasters cruise in at 2-5 mph and have air gates that prevent passengers from getting hurt. Also did you know you have a higher chance of dying by vending machine than death by coaster?

^'s park is Kentucky Kingdom v Understands the meaning of the phrase "airtime."

Not more, but better airtime. So technically no. Is El Toro at the top of your wooden list?

So the intamin cable strikes again... -
Just the other day, some family, friends and I were at the park. It was one of the least crowded day that I've been to the park with the longest wait being about 20-30 minutes for superman. So this is what happened: Superman 1x- longest wait of the day at 20-30 min. Green Lantern 1x- 1 train wait a little uncomfortable but fun otherwise. Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train 2x- fun little ride with no wait, was the strange close of our day. The Dark Knight 1x- wait for pre show, a lot of the effects were not working or were turned off, including the jump scare at the end of the ride. Bizarro 1x- quicker ride ops than last year, station wait, fun, only head banging exiting the cobra roll, the auger of death was a little crazy this time around, wetting us a little. Considering the heat that day (upper 90s) this was welcomed. Skull Mountain 3x- or should I say Takis mountain. This is the ride that has suffered from the Takis advertising. The giant adverts destroyed what little atmosphere the ride had. Not as bad as what I saw of NTAG but still bad. Batman 1x- still forceful and smooth, station wait. Nitro 2x-there actually was a jack hammering moment of roughness coming out of the hammerhead going into the hill following, I could feel it in my spine! I also would have gone on more times if it weren't for the worst ride ops in history. These guys were stapling and triple stacking! And if facial recognition serves me right, these were last years bizarro ops. Runaway Mine Train 3x- my first arrow ride, the coat hanger transitions were so messed up yet at the same time awesome. Second row back car offers some of the most underrated airtime in the park on the last two drops. El Toro 3x- In a row. 1 train waits from 12:00-1:00. Back row offers the most kick ass airtime ever, especially on the thunder drop as we named it. Also, fastest ride ops in the park, only staking trains because it only runs two. Reason for short lines is probably SORA as the ride time for that is ~1:30:00 long and in the area. It's also the new ride so it will attract lots of patrons and divert them away from the good stuff. Also, our party must have drank a gallon of ice water each! It was very hot today, which also probably contributed to the deadness of the park today.

The only thing that has really made me sick was after riding a frisbee 3 times in a row at adventureland LI. It's one of those traveling frisbees and was purchased from a German fair. I could honestly believe that they didn't change the cycle. The park also has a pirate ship, also purchased from a German fair and also from Huss, that has a swing angle of 75 degrees!

^ Although it is based on opinion, Six Flags has the comparable batman and hershey has great bear. The thing is that they also have El Toro and Skyrush respectively. If Talon is the best the park has, it's not enough. On top of that, in America, a 105 ft super thriller is hardly marketable because it breaks no records and doesnt stand out in the park's skyline. They have some hope with an El Loco because they could easily market the steepest drop in america, but that's their only hope now for a marketable coaster.

I might have over thought that a little. I really just wanted to say that demon drop has some value. Very little value, but some nonetheless. Dominator could be torn down and replaced by an intamin drop tower of similar or same height. And this still puts dorney in a rut. Knoebels still has greater charm than dorney and six flags and hershey still have better rides. Now that knoebels has a drop tower, the choice is moving further and further from the park. Also looking at satellite imagery of the park, Dinos alive takes up a good amount of space. About the size of a small coaster not including the patch of unused land next to it. Dinos gives the park a sort of educational edge, but not much considering it would be much cooler to learn the physics of a 128 mph modern scream machine than a 205 ft tall Morgan mega built in 1997. And the park still has a lack of stand out coasters. Almost all or all of which have an equal or superior counterpart in any of the other parks surrounding. On top of that the park has a height restriction making building said rides that much more difficult. But like any good park, they'll find a way. If cedar fair lets them

My school, actually the whole state, is giving us summer assignments. Now I know no one will do them, teachers and the board of Ed will see that a lot of kids are getting unnecessary minuses of their report cards and count the project as nothing toward the report card. I wouldn't be so upset if it weren't for the fact that the SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED LAST YEAR!!!
