  1. Busch sent us a video and there was a launch was right after the next drop as I remember, so that's one, I guess 90-100 foot drop int a LAUNCH. this might be the new world's fastest roller coaster with added acceleration at the bottom of a drop.
  2. Something just struck me, a new intamin seat made solely for this ride. Take the formula rossa seats (the thing with the little ear-flaps) then add an intamin OTSR, and finally slice off the shoulder part leaving the lab bar only. Smooth out the rough edges and voilĂ  an intamin launch with the feeling of a lap bar, only much safer than the real thing with the ability to execute inversions and extreme airtime there's that or go with the nearby i 305 solution and add the padded restraints, but kings dominion won't like that idea
  3. For the launch coaster: the name Big Bad Wolf could stay, for nostalgia reasons, even the sign could stay, and the station building if they already haven't torn it down already. The point is old name, new ride.
  4. When i went they didn't seem to be highly rated by the general public as there was no line for Apollo's chariot all day but there was one for the griffon (overrated) and for escape from Pompeii P.S. you messed up the quoting I didn't tamper with the quotes
  5. I can't play the video for some reason as is appears whoever posted it removed it
  6. They're using whirly wheel tubes, they used it on the New York version and the special effects are pretty cool, a hint of advice ride it more than once i've ridden it 6 times just to get know my surroundings. If you have a waterproof flash light bring it but not on your first time. I'm doing that next year. The San Dimas ride looks like this... final twist the funnel and in-run
  7. If you check back at iaapa proslide is doing hydromagnetics with larger tubes, they could surely do it with cloverleaf tubes to make a ride longer in time and shorter in height
  8. No one has been posting a reply since march 06 2010 so I will post a video of the poconos double barrel drop, the last funnel resembles white water rafting more than a typical tornado-like ride but it looks fun. Also a new video of the triple twist and the other topsy turvys just came out. Pretty cool so far. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaSEircEpfA some vesions of the topsy turvys
  9. You know what, I'll just say it, The Coney Island Cyclone! If this gets the topper track re-build people would ride it more often, maintainence would decrease, and the purists shouldn't be bothered because wood is still part of the track.
  10. They posted the pics in reverse to throw us off thinking they were going somewhere but they were coming back from somewhere.(who knows where) Oh there's already a winner, damn.
  11. I agree entirely and that "flume in flume" technology presented at Iaapa doesn't look like it's going to happen, where do you put supports if you are surrounded by fiberglass.
  12. Can't wait for the heli-hopper to come to a park near me, and have a respectable height limit
  13. All of the proposed things for this park are owned by white water west, take a look at white water's website
  14. I am a proslide fan myself and none of this stuff moves me, it just proves how much of a proslide wannabe whitewater has become.
  15. New news on the megatubes: videos have surfaced (well, virtual videos) The viper www.whitewaterwest.com/Viper.html The python www.whitewaterwest.com/Python.html The annaconda www.whitewaterwest.com/Anaconda.html NEW The rattler www.whitewaterwest.com/Rattler.html The rattler looks like whitewaters answer to the topsy turvys
  16. It's post-Iaapa and time to shed some light on these new rides and bring another one in. Introducing the abyss video link: www.whitewaterwest.com/Abyss.html don't be fooled it's not a tornado its a triangle like structure
  17. There won't be any proslide rides as shclitterbahn parks are white water exclusive
  18. I guess everyone forgot about the Green Lantern.
  19. I can judge airtime by looking at other people riding it and the pov itself, to me it doesn't look like there is really any airtime at all and the trims seem to cause that to happen. The most air time on the ride i noticed was on the last hills and it looks like floater air to me.
  20. What's with cedar point and fires this year 1. By corkscrew 2. On mean streak 3. transformer fire have the safety standards dropped?
  21. the idea of this thread is simple: talk about possible indoor rides and portable attractions and let the ideas go through the roof (if you think one truck moves Olympia looping then you're wrong). it could be: 1. a roller coaster 2. a flat ride the rides have to be of a reasonable hight(no 150 foot tall rides) due to the fact that they have to be portable and/or have to fit under a roof(you can present an entire park as well) and the other requirement is that they have to have a reasonable footprint (you don't want the entire park to be one ride) have fun!
  22. ^^ The bar in the middle is probably a head chopper effect and it's squared of for room for the train
  23. 1. intamin -new trains (otsrs) -original accelerator trains(xcellerator) -straps(new i305) -new intamin track like i305 2. B&M -dive machine(floor and floorless 8 or 10) -hypercoaster gen 2 -gardaland prototype style 3.S&S power -powder keg style -thrust air 2000 4.morgan -hypercoaster 5.Arrow -4th dimension -suspended 6.other -built in newton -more from vekoma(new trains/new styles) EDIT:more from S&S -new "ring racer"cars -four across cars
  24. Leave Out All The Rest - Linkin Park
  25. I wonder how the water effect would work with the seats being so low to the bottom of the track and being that wherever they put the scoops the riders feet will be close to the water and have the risk of hitting it (not that a little water will hurt) and could harm people especially at the joints.
