Amusement Park Commercials

I'm surprised no one put this one up! "What have we done . " -
For certain rides it does, imagine phantoms revenge built SFMM style... parking lot coaster.

^LOL, prepare for a lawsuit hershey . -
I think we overlooked one little problem... S&S DOESN'T MAKE SKY SWATS ANYMORE!!! With that said, the best thing you could get from S&S is the screamin swing that they still make, or an air launched coaster like powder keg. Maybe the possibility of the low capacity el loco, or the incredible amount of downtime of the 4D(el locos are weird and from what I've heard, the 4D gives an interesting ride.)

^^The reason (I think) that these rides were put in is a three step process: 1)Build hype over the ride. 2)Use that hype get a lot of people to want to ride. 3)While people are waiting for hours for the brand new ride all the rest of the rides have shortened lines for an extended period of time. BONUS:The park employees could switch shifts from the capacity nightmare to the high capacity rides with shortened lines to take a break. P.S. I don't mind having a gimmick at parks, it shortens the lines on the good rides for the rest of us!

Fuji-Q Highlands Discussion Thread
crazywolf88 replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If Fuji-Queue has 3 hour lines for coasters with 20+ seats per train, imagine what that wait time would be with single car, 8 person cars max( they could get the even lower CRAPacity 6 person cars.) Just think... -

^That is what stunt plane pilots do when they perform a loop. If it helps them PERFORM high g maneuvers, then it will help you OVERCOME high g maneuvers. -

Time for the verdict robb *drumroll* millennium flyers or timberliners? and a different question, any GCI with timberliners running or any GG with MFs? -
World Joyland in China
crazywolf88 replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Look at all the stuff you've bought that has a made in china label on it, then think about how it adds up over a long period of time, then look at our economy, followed by comparing our rides to theirs. It makes sense to me. -
It seems to me that everyone is complaining about the hexagonal shape of the tower vs the round intamin and the latticed S&S. I know for a fact that the drop tower isn't complete:1)the plastic protector at the top 2)the brakes are positioned too high up which would mean that if it is in fact complete, it would have only 50 feet of drop or so.

looks B&M is going towards vekoma elements. If this style is repeated over and over this could put vekoma out of business!(I mean if they try out all the other styles as well.) -
B&M vs Intamin
crazywolf88 replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There was one thing I had always liked about B&Ms, they age very well. Apollo's Chariot is glass smooth(well maybe not glass) despite it being 10 years old when I rode it! -
B&M vs Intamin
crazywolf88 replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Thanks for rephrasing that but not all coasters that go through rollbacks have tophats pony express did that and it was all because of that infamous, faulty intamin cable. -
B&M vs Intamin
crazywolf88 replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
There are a few reasons why B&M stays away from launches: 1)Reliability(cables breaking=down time= for enthusiasts and park guests) 2)consistency(launches don't always end out with the same speed(rollbacks)) 3)complexity(launches use a lot more advanced tech than the traditional lift) 4)capacity(B&M use very heavy trains and will probably need to be shortened for a launch to work) 5)ride time(B&M would rather leave you with a 2-3min chain lifted ride than having an expensive launch system leaving you with a shorter track to make up for the spent money) I honestly don't think B&M should go back to their 90's old school days but instead go with a new school style for example:for inverts there would be an airtime inducing first drop and between elements there would be turns and airtime .(think dragon challenge red side's hill) -
Is there any possibility of the epic nighttime ERT on lightning racer to be repeated(no I was not there), if so throw me on the bandwagon! I have experienced GCIs during the day(they really aren't spectacular to me) and maybe a night ride ought to do some good. ERT on sidewinder anyone ,no I am really serious!

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
crazywolf88 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
For all we know we could be looking at a giga coaster. I305 was fit into only a slightly larger space than the location at hershey. Points: 1)The first turn on 305 looks to be the same radius as the first few turns on the new coaster. 2)The way the footers are set up before the supposed brake run are in similar locations to the I305 overbank-to-brake run. 3)At the same camera elevation on google earth, in comparison, with slight modifications, I305 looks like it could fit in that same area 4)The lift and the first airtime hill looks to be the same length as the one on 305. Instead of 212 feet tall, we could be looking at 312 ft tall . -

I find it very RCT3ish with the headlight on the lead car but it looks good otherwise. -
From what I see, S:EFK looks to have a very weak launch and I was wondering: "Do we really need the shoulder restraints?" Is superman powerful enough that you need the OTSRs or could it possibly do without them? I need help on this.
