  1. Love what they have done with this whole area, looks fantastic! The projection mapping in the queue line also looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
  2. The first coasters that springs to my mind are Expedition Everest and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at WDW.
  3. Holy squeaking Batman, that is some serious noise right there! Will be very interesting to hear how it rides, some of those transitions looks rather abrupt, particularly the second hill.
  4. Great to see another one of these pop up. Seems like a perfect fit for a small family park.
  5. ^That looks great! Do we know if the lights will be static, or will they somehow be synchronized with the launch? I think that would be a really cool effect!
  6. Kolmården posted on facebook that new cylinders are arriving tomorrow. Hopefully they'll have the ride up and running soon.
  7. They relocated the loading platform to the old unloading platform, and added some new scenes before the lift. The lifthill itself is in the same place. Attractions Magazine posted a side-by-side comparison with the old ride.
  8. Frozen Ever After looks amazing! The queue line looks great! Love the sauna scene, gives some entertainment in what I expect will be a rather long queue for quite some time. (although I'm sure some of those who became die-hard Maelstrom fans once it was announced that the ride would close would say that a plain wall with some flags on was better). As for the ride itself, I'm very impressed. The animatronics looks fantastic! I love the Olaf animatronic (and of course the one of Sven with his tongue stuck on the post, very funny). I don't really have anything negative to say about the ride*. The ride is so short that in terms of storytelling, there isn't really much you can do, but for what it is I think it has a nice flow to it. So yes, a massive improvement over the old Maelstrom ride! Norway approves! *On the old Maelstrom ride you were allowed to use the fastpass line if you were from Norway, even though you didn't have a fastpass. I have a feeling that it won't be possible from now on...
  9. Great report! The new area in the Norway pavilion looks great. I'm particularly impressed by the indoors queue for the meet'n greet, I think they absolutely nailed that part! On behalf of Norway I approve of this area! I'm still trying to work out what's going on with the architecture in this place though. The yellow wooden part just looks so out of place. I don't know if it's related to the angle of the picture though, so I will withhold final judgement until the whole area is open and we can get a better look at it. But from this picture I'm a bit confused...
  10. Awesome video! The first half on Lost Gravity is REALLY solid! I'm not a huge fan of hangtime so I didn't feel that the second half quite lived up to the craziness of the first half. But it's a really great ride that I enjoyed very much! And in the end the only thing that matters is that you were giggling like a little girl, and that's what riding rollercoasters is all about!
  11. Thank you, I try my best! Sorry, I just couldn't let the opportunity to make that joke pass! But yeah, that was a great report! Fun to see a trip report that it not the "traditional" cruise. Thanks for sharing!
  12. ^There is no such thing as good price for beer in Norway!
  13. According to one of my local stores, these are halogen light bulbs...
  14. So after trying 14 different beers from 7 Fjell Brewery (of which I found 13 of them to be great, and there is still quite a few I haven't tried yet) I figured it was time to move on to the next Norwegian microbrewery. This time I went for Kinn Brewery, which is located a couple of hours further north on the Norwegian west coast. I went for their "Kveldbris" (evening breeze) Belgium blonde ale. Not my favorite beer, it wasn't bad by any means at all, it just simply wasn't quite my taste. No problems emptying the 0,75 liter bottle though!
  15. Efteling looks like a wonderful park! I really need to visit this park some day. My company has a warehouse in Moerdijk which is not far away from Efteling, maybe I need to find a new excuse to go there and sneak in a visit to the park along the way...
  16. Thanks for sharing the pictures! Wildfire looks absolutely amazing! I'm still struggling to comprehend that we now actually have an RMC here in Scandinavia. I'm planning to head over to Sweden in August, really looking forward to it.
  17. After a couple of weeks of great weather we had a little rain today, which was quite pleasant. And the evening has been just wonderful with an amazing red sky at sunset. Picture taken at 11 PM.
  18. I approve of the amount of times the word "Viking" is mentioned so far in this trip report! Looks like quite a nice ship! I like the amount of wood used for the interior. The room looks quite alright as well. Looking forward to the next part.
  19. Looks like an awesome ride, and the theming looks great! Love the queue line!
  20. Great trip report! Tron looks truly spectacular at night! Thanks for sharing!
  21. Note! With the exception of my two visits to Florida in recent years, I haven't been to any of the other states since 2008. Florida: Kumba New York: Coney Island Cyclone New Jersey: El Toro Pennsylvania: Phoenix Connecticut: Boulder Dash Massachusetts: Superman - Ride Of Steel (as it was named back then)
  22. Then we would go back to making jokes that are actually funny again! What if SeaWorld put whale meat on the menu?
  23. Very sad to hear the recent news from Orlando. We had our own mass shooting here in Norway a little under 5 years ago, and while it did not affect anyone I know, I can relate to many of the feelings being listed above.
  24. I still can't believe this is 2 hours down the road.... after a 1 hour 20 mins flight that is!
