  1. It's possible but I don't have kids and only went there to get the two credits anyway. Whether my treatment was justified or not, I have no plans to go back.
  2. Yes, I noticed yesterday that part of the parking lot at SFMM had been re-striped.
  3. Steve, glad you got the credits with no hassles. My opinion of the park is starting to go downhill since, in my opinion, it is starting to seem like I was singled out and hassled for no reason. I wonder if the policy they told me they were following even exists.
  4. ^^ You're welcome. The TPR member I met yesterday was joking that they blew out the speakers with the new audio track they used for WCB. ^ I've noticed things like that on Terminator a few times too.
  5. I rode Tidal Wave at SFMM during a soft opening the night before it officially opened. They ran it for the last hour the park was open and we were walking by just as a ride op walked out to the entrance and started telling the people walking by that the ride was open. That's the only time I've ever been able to do that.
  6. ^^^^^ No, the audio was turned off for all 6 rides. Those are the only times I have rode Terminator with no audio since it opened. I always get a laugh from the Gold Rusher comment. "Enjoy your ride on Gold Rusher, the best ride ever". On Superman yesterday the ride op asked if anyone had allergies. Everybody sat there kind of quiet and didn't really answer. Then a few seconds later he said "because there might be Kryptonite on this ride" and everybody laughed. I thought that was funny too.
  7. When was this? I visited Adventure City twice in 2009 without kids and didnt have that issue. It was on 11/7/09. I'm glad the two of you had better luck than I did. I now wonder why they hassled me so much. It's not that big of a deal since I am never going to go there again, not because of what happened but just because I have no reason too. It still seems strange to me though.
  8. ^ They were saying that today. I've heard it on most of my visits in the last few years. I was at the park today too. I like the new spiel they have on Batman. Today was the first time I have heard it and also the first time I have heard them play the National Anthem. I agree that "Allison" is annoying and I have never heard any ride ops on any other rides use the "is everybody in" line. They were blasting the horn on Deja Vu today which I like and I also enjoy the clapping and high fiving. The repaint of Colossus has begun. There was a painting crew off to the right side of the lift hill painting what I assume are new pieces of wood which are going to be used on the coaster since they were being painted white. Panda Express is now offering two new combos. Orange Chicken/Sweetfire Chicken and Broccoli Beef/Sweetfire Chicken. They now have 5 combos available. I am happy about this since Orange Chicken and Sweetfire Chicken are two of my favorites items. The park was deserted today. I got on 46 total rides which is the second highest total I've ever had and the highest total I've ever had on a day the park closed at 6:00. Here are my totals. All of them were walk ons except my very first ride on X2 right when the park opened in which I waited 10 minutes. X2: 3 times. Two more times later in the day. The first ride was great but the other two were very rough which is why I only rode 3 times even with no line. On the third ride I slammed my head into the back of the seat. First time that has happened to me. Hopefully it doesn't happen again since I've never had a problem on X2 before and it is my #1 coaster overall. Viper: 3 times in a row without exiting the train. Revolution: 3 times. Once then two more times later. Only had to switch rows. The three smoothest rides on Revolution I have had with the OTSR's. Still not as good as it was without them but riding with no headbanging today was a very welcome experience. Tatsu: 5 times. Twice in the morning. Three more later. Rode twice in a row two separate time and only had to change seats both times. Somebody barfed while I was waiting for the 5th ride but it was only delayed about 2-3 more minutes by the time I got there. Superman: 2 times. Both walk ons but had to exit and come back since there were barely enough people in line to fill one train. Deja Vu: 6 times. Three sets of two each. First time stayed in my seat. Second and third time only had to switch seats. Terminator Salvation: 6 times. 4 times without exiting the train and two times later without exiting. Gold Rusher: 2 times in a row. Only had to change rows. Riddler's Revenge: 5 times. Three times without exiting and my last two rides of the day, both in the front row without exiting. A ride op recognized me. This is starting to happen a lot. Batman: 2 times. Walk ons but had two exit and come back. Barely enough people in line to fill one train. Colossus: 2 times without exiting the train. Scream: 3 times in a row. Only had to switch rows. Goliath: 4 times in a row. Only had to switch rows. I was wearing my Goliath t-shirt which I bought on ebay a couple weeks ago for 99 cents too. Also I met a TPR member while riding Terminator Salvation today who was at WCB. I enjoyed talking to you. Sorry I didn't get a chance to get your name. If you see this message feel free to say it was you if you want to.
  9. Thank you. Just to the vending machines isn't that bad. I am going to try to ride it first, right when the park opens, then check it again later in the day to see if I can get on again.
  10. Glad you had a great visit. I've noticed the ride ops making comments like that more often on my visits this year too. I'm going tomorrow. I hope it is that empty for me too. On X2, how much of the queue was full.
  11. Sounds awesome. I wish I could go but I don't have the money. I have never been to SFDK and have only been to CGA one time in 1991.
  12. Strange. The parks website says Boomerang is closed from 3/15-3/26. I have usually found their ride closure list to be accurate.
  13. I already ride Colossus on just about every visit since I always try to ride every open coaster on every visit. The novelty of having it race would not make me ride it anymore than I already do. Those pictures of the X2 station during ERT look almost exactly as empty as it was on Season Pass Appreciation Day last Sept.
  14. Very good news about the Single Rider Lines. I was disappointed when they were removed in mid-2008 and would be very happy to see them brought back. I used to use them regularly since I go to the park alone on most of my visits.
  15. ^^ Physics Day is an event at certain parks where students participate in various competitions some of which involve the parks rides and some which don't. In my experience visiting on one of these days by accident one time and reading newspaper articles about how many people participate they are usually very crowded. I'm going to the park next week too. Like cooksta77 said are large part of the Inland Empire is off next week so crowds may be increased because of that. Most of LA and Orange County is not off until either one of the next two weeks after that. The park closes at 6:00 on weekdays next week, 9:00 the following week and 8:00 the week after that which seems to indicate that they expect lighter crowds next week than during the two following weeks which seem to be the main part of Spring Break. Knott's closes at 6:00 on weekdays next week and 10:00 the next two weeks after that so they are expecting the same thing. In the last few years I have found very light crowds at the park if LA and Orange County are both in school even if other areas are off, so I am hoping for the best.
  16. Thanks for the info. Sorry it's so crowded but Physics Day + Saturday + Spring Break is a very nasty combination. The parks website currently says Ninja will reopen on April 3. It said March 20 until just a few days ago.
  17. Let's see. Bacon mixed with chocolate, and possible whipped cream and fruit. I think I'll skip that.
  18. ^^ I guess I'm doing pretty well. I have relatives younger than me that wear out and have to take breaks every so often too. I never do that. My dad is 65 and still rides every coaster at SFMM but he doesn't do as many re-rides anymore and doesn't go to the park nearly as often as he used to. He has fun telling people how old he is if they ask and has had people tell him they hope they can still do this at his age. I hope I can too. Before you tell me I inherited good genes from him I should mention that I'm adopted.
  19. I have always found Riddler's Revenge to be very smooth and not painful at all. I can re-ride it multiple times with no problem too. Scream is a bit rough to me but not enough to really be an issue. I have rode it 4-6 times without exiting the train many times and have not had a problem. In my opinion the only coaster there which is too painful to re-ride multiple times in a row is Revolution, due to the headbanging. I never go on it more than twice in a row anymore. I have not had a problem on any of the other coasters which are currently there. I even went on X2 ten times in one hour on Season Pass Appreciation Day last September and had no problems.
  20. I always get a laugh when somebody in line asks a ride op how tall or fast a coaster is or what year it opened and the ride op doesn't know the answer but I do. Sometimes if I get a chance I tell the guest the answer too.
  21. In my experience Colossus almost never has much of a line anymore so running both sides at the same time seems like a waste of money to pay ride ops and unnecessary wear and tear on both tracks. Even when I was there during Summer Break last year it was a walk on during a day when the parking lot was almost at capacity. I have had the same problem with my arm getting caught between the side of the car on Revolution. If I use the side of the car like an armrest it is not a problem anymore. I'm going to the park this Tuesday, 3/23. Some schools are out next week, but many more are out the next two weeks after that. I'm not expecting it to be deserted but I think crowds should be fairly light.
  22. I have thought that having Colossus run backwards all the time would be a good draw to get people to want to ride it again. It would give the ride a unique element, especially now that the park has another wooden coaster which is much better. When I rode it backwards it made the ride much more exciting.

    Q-Bot

Yes, it's a good deal. Since I get the Regular Q-bot most of the times I use one, it is approx. a 40% discount.
  24. Revolution would still be ace without those stupid harnesses, which serve no purpose but pain, BTW. Agreed. Revolution was a favorite of mine for many years before it had OTSR's. With the OTSR's it is mediocre on its best day and a below average, painful ride at worst.
