Yep, that's the whole point that like everyone but a few people are stressing. This whole thing seriously does not impact ANYONE in any way at all. But there are a handful of people (even more crazies on FB and other socials) who are trying to convince people otherwise for reasons I have no idea. I think it's an odd thing to complain about for another reason: For decades, if you stayed at the Disneyland Hotel, you could take the monorail to Tomorrowland and skip the main entrance entirely. Does anyone complain about that? It also wasn't a hotel owned/operated by Disney, but by a third party. But you know what? PIXIEDUST MAGIC WALT DISNEE. So it was alright.

They literally exhibit all the hallmarks of severe mental illness. That's why.

Anyone can theoretically ignore anything they want to and there can never be discourse ever of any kind. If people want to appeal to the sanctity of the traditional park entrance in arguing that express buses are bad, then they need to put together a cogent argument about why it really really matters beyond just "I feel" and "Walt wanted" junk. If there really was a great argument that would convert most people who are agnostic/supportive of the idea, then great! But screw this emotional truth nonsense where people just get to make up whatever reality they want and yell about it getting stepped on by people wielding ugly things like "facts".

That's EXACTLY what Disnerds mean. To them, parking at the TTC and being forced to take the monorail or boat is part of the magic as you must journey oh-so-far to this incredible City on The Hill. There's long essays about how the paths from the turnstiles at Animal Kingdom to the Tree Of Life make you feel like you're adventuring or something. Lots of and lots of nonsense to make this stuff seem way more intellectual than it is. The best park though? If you reject any or all of that crap, then clearly you're just some blithering idiot who can't understand the vast and unimaginable genius at work.

Yeah, I'm definitely not trying to argue. I just never see people who are actually out hustling, working hard, trying to take new positions and do new things and complaining on the internet about "starving working for Disney". It's the same people doing the same 1-2 types of jobs that they'll only do because they are special snowflakes. There's so many jobs in Orlando, they can't possibly fill them all. If you really want to get paid, you can.

The thing is though, you CAN have a great career working for Disney or any of the other hospitality companies in Orlando. Thousands of people out here do and they live just fine. But it doesn't come easy, it's not a free ride, and someone with this sort of attitude is not going to make the cut. I know plenty of people who work at the parks, resorts, or in other hospitality venues in Orlando and they have nice houses or apartments, take vacations out of the country and live well-off lives. None of it was just handed to them though. I take a lot of this talk from cast members who are mad as "I will only work in ride operations or live entertainment and I demand to be a manager and hold court with imagineers!" Walt needed people to sweep streets, scrub toilets, sell t-shirts, and make food too, but I almost never hear about how these specific people are looking to move around the company. They just want to do ops on Pirates of the Caribbean and get paid $20/hr to be "part of the magic".

I almost feel bad for Disney employees that don't make anything, but maybe they should, you know, threaten to disrupt the place by organizing together to make these demands? Or maybe she needs to think about trying to get a job elsewhere in the company that makes more money, even if it isn't as glamorous. That's kinda on them that they put ridiculous idealism ahead of their own lives, not me. Disney, by design, isn't for poor people barely scraping by. What really upsets people like this cast member is the crushing reality that Disney is not intended for people of their economic status and never, ever was. The kind of introspection about themselves and their relationship to Disney is deeply uncomfortable, and they outright reject even the slightest bit of thought about it. It is much, much easier for them to construct a totally false reality with completely fake facts than confront the truth because their entire lives are about serving this company.

I would happily pay $24 for a week's worth of only needing to f' around with security once a day. The more hardcore the Disney fan, it seems like the more delusional they get. They aren't interested in theme parks, they're interested in Disney, which provides them self identity and the world's biggest "safe space" to make complete BS up and repeat it to one another as if it were gospel. "You can't take guests backstage!" they scream. Meanwhile, they fork over money to walk around the Utilidors with a guide because it fulfills the lamest dream of all time. What they really mean is "You can only take me, the special guest that understands, backstage!"

Someone did a pretty indepth analysis of the art, and the bridge and attached pyramid appear to be lifted from the desert areas of Mario 3D World.

If the coaster collection at Cedar Point is too good for you, please, feel free to go to Canada's Wonderland instead. Six Flags Great America has some really mediocre rides with long waits; maybe that's more your speed. Carowinds only has three good rides and they're all B&Ms: there's another quality one for someone of that ilk.

No, they only have to prove intent on the arson. Arson, by definition, is a destructive fire set by intent. What separates arson (misdemenor or arson) from 14 counts of first degree murder is the INTENT of the arson. If the intent of the arson is to burn down all of those specific homes and businesses, then yes, there is the possibility that they might get first degree. However, first degree is highly specific on intent. A wildfire, by its nature, are not going to get them charged with first degree murder. There would need to be a lot to go with it, and it would be a risky move by the prosecution only worthwhile if they were seeking the death penalty. Tennessee doesn't execute juveniles. I googled it: there's two for historical precedent, both in California. One had a massive wrap sheet, the other had set something like 25 fires to get this going. Similarly, jurors also have acquitted people convicted of arson in wildfire deaths of even second degree murder. It is not an easy argument to make and given that the individuals are juveniles, extremely unlikely. Manslaughter, on the other hand, is an easy conviction to obtain.

That's exactly why it won't happen. The intent of the arson was not to likely to burn down hundreds of homes/businesses or endanger anyone, much less those specific individuals and those specific homes and businesses. They'd have to prove that was the intent, and the manner in which the fire spread makes that impossible. That's what separates 1st degree felonies from other ones. Not in TN it doesn't. Read the statute. I coped item a.2, relevant to this case.(i also liked a source). I read it. No one is going to charge kids with 1st degree murder for starting a fire miles away because there was no intent to burn those specific homes down. It won't happen.

There's no chance the prosecutors would go with 1st degree murder. 1st degree requires specific intent to murder the individual; that's not the case here at all. Reckless manslaughter is infinitely more likely.

Aquatica Orlando will become the new Wet N Wild. That's not a bad thing, either. They'll be the most reasonably priced water park in the area. Fun Spot is really their competition for that if they ever bother to put up slides.

I'm just some guy who paid attention a little more sometimes. That's all. Like I hope to hell San Antonio's attendance is up compared to last year. They were down 14%. San Diego was down 17% and 4% in '14 and '15 respectively too. Decentralizing the structure of the company and letting go of people who haven't accomplished anything for growth is a natural. Further cutbacks on attractions isn't good, but they need to try and figure out where their footing is in the market, and they've picked things that aren't terribly popular. Does anyone know if anyone goes to Aquatica San Diego? That thing is screaming "Please sell me, I was a stupid idea!"

So are we gonna be talking about how Voyage to the Crystal Grotto and Roaring Rapids are closed indefinitely or nah?

There's a dark ride that's pretty unique and of course the other two coasters. I think some of the better flat rides have been removed like the Moser Solar Flare, so basically those two. The ride itself goes down for maintenance multiple times a day; keep this in mind. As for more detailed information, since so few people reside in that area, email or FB Message the park. If you're planning a substantial trip to Edmonton in winter time, it isn't a "coasterboy" thing to email park management asking them questions so that you make informed decisions as a consumer.

I can't for the life of me figure out why that didn't succeed. LMAO. Jesus, that's terrible. I get the arguments about attendance and lack of a huge population base in Sandusky itself, but they did themselves zero good doing the event in that way.

Orlando isn't their only park. Yes, it accounts for a substantial amount of revenue, but Harry Potter isn't why Sea World San Antonio had a 10%+ drop in attendance last season. But Disney Parks people can only relate to Orlando and SoCal, so....

From what I understand, this basically has SeaWorld going from operating under a big corporate structure to more or less be like the other regional park chains with lots of decision making happening at each rather than top down.
