Is he from the general geographical region around that park? Then I feel almost bad. If he's rich, I don't care. I legitimately have no idea. I believe they were 5 days in a row though and I only remember this so vividly since it was right before our one trip of the year so we were watching his Facebook page to see if we had any reason for optimism (which of course we didn't). The real question of the thread: is his mom hot? -
With the ports, it depends on what you want to do or what interests you. I'll throw out that Bonaire has excellent snorkeling and diving that is far above average for the Caribbean. I can forward to you the company I went with just a couple of months ago: it was $65 USD/person, had a couple really long drift snorkels, and they even provided lunch. Voyager-class ships are nice. They've updated Adventure and the aqua park stuff is probably really cool. I personally don't care that much for the specialty dining (or dining period) on most RCCL ships now and would suggest you'd be just as well off ordering the special steak in the main dining room if you want to go that route.

Lakemont Park changes

The park needed a lot of work, but obviously I hope the wood coasters stick around. Leap The Dips is actually really insane now force wise and Skyliner has always had great airtime in a couple spots. -

Skip 2017? Haven't you read this thread? It will open unannounced midweek in August. -

Doubtful, I looked Here, Here and Here and found nothing. Hmmm....did you check this or this? That's the only other ones I could think of.... -

I don't know for certain, but it would be my best guess since it is somewhat positioned close to when vendors were still in the park operating and would be a rational reason why they would replace an operable attraction with an identical operable attraction. -

That was the original CP Wildcat from 1970 that stood close to where Windseeker is today. It was removed after the 1978 season and shipped off to Valleyfair (and eventually to Ocean City) and CP received a new identical model Wildcat that was erected near the former Jumbo Jet site (which was also removed after the 1978 season and sent to a park in Maine, and eventually to Europe). That wild cat remained there until the 1984 season when it was moved over by the current Valravn site to make way for Avalanche Run. Does anyone know the story behind why both CP Shwarzkopf coasters were removed after the 1978 season and why an identical Wildcat model was built to replace the one that was sent to Valleyfair? It seems to me that it would have been easier to just leave well enough alone wit the original Wildcat at CP and send the new one directly to Valleyfair. If I had to make a guess, the park was still in a state of transition away from having any independent vendors operating on-site, and the Wildcat that was removed and replaced with an identical ride was done because it wasn't owned by Cedar Point and they wanted their own such attraction. -

It used to close in the rain too because the roof/coverings were so full of holes. Seriously, there were plants growing on it. -

I am honestly more concerned about this than anything related to LR. -

No diss, but anyone that was expecting OMG THRILLZZZZ just doesn't grasp the space where it was going. The ride looks a whole lot better than a generic drop tower that apparently had the aesthetics and feel of a greenhouse (kinda bad in a desert where it gets to 50C/122F!). -
I'm not sure if it is amusing to me or irritating. Both? When I've talked about this to people, the general thought process they have is "Well, who wants to stand and wait in line?" Well, people want to get on rides! That's what they do! The line is merely a conduit to do that. I'm not convinced that people will simply want to consume food/beverage instead either. It isn't any different than discussions on, say, Magic Bands with that. People aren't merely endless machines of consumption. They want to do something. Those Tapu Tapus better open up glory holes or something.

Disneycentric "theme park experts" like the majority of people on twitter don't go to any amusement parks outside of Disney and now Universal, so for them decade old technology is brand new and innovative. Most of them have never even seen one of the LIM water coasters! I guess it'll do the Yas Waterworld thing where the band will cause stuff to happen, which is nice, and there's no longer any standby lines, so that'll be something to see.

I don't think anyone is confused as to why Blizzard Beach hasn't ever gotten a new slide complex or that Typhoon Lagoon only sparingly gets them, but that fact doesn't really change my personal opinion that their slides are generally somewhat archaic in design compared to most regional water parks and that I lack any real enthusiasm to go due to that combined with the heavy crowd loads that hit it every day. I'm sure lots of families are happy going to it and it makes money. They should: their maintenance budget is obviously greater than most water parks' annual cap ex to be fair on the costs, but they're also like the first and second most visited aquatics facilities in the world IIRC.

Opening day sucks. Large numbers of rides not operating because they just didn't finish setting them up and getting them certified or they're way understaffed, staffing itself is not yet competent, and the weather trends towards being lousy. I wish I didn't feel that way, but I almost never go and feel satisfied. Also last year's "preview day" was a disaster with there being an hour+ of traffic just to get into the park, which was already full of people from Ohio State Day but only a fraction of the rides open. -
I'm going to give Mr. storm555 the benefit of the doubt. Actually, I'm not, but I'm going to use his nonsense for the anecdote of a time i was at an amusement park with a friend who kept needing to go to the bathroom. He was in there for like 10-20 minutes at a time and eventually I had to ditch them. Years later it came out that he had been doing ecstasy for the first time and was mixed with booze and some other stuff and was tripping extremely hard and couldn't deal with the visual stimuli. What I'm getting at is that maybe storm's friends are doing a ton of drugs. Think about it.

This thread has turned into something where I want to do an impression of an overenthusiastic 12 year old with lots of smilies like and of course . LMAO at the sperm smilie. It looks like its wandering through a postmenopausal wasteland. One day, Magnum will be gone. But of the many ways it might leave us, "It is moved to Michigans Adventure" is not one of them.

They usually do public days where you can visit once a year. I only found out about it driving around the area and stumbling across the signs guiding to there randomly. Here's the info about it from last year: https://www.nasa.gov/feature/nasa-glenn-s-plum-brook-station-invites-the-public-to-visit
