  1. Nothing like planting dead trees in the Sierra Twist area. That makes it look like it's been that way for awhile. Or the healthy trees are dropping leaves because it's winter! Planting dead trees?
  2. If what you mean is the faster it rotates the further out away from the tower the swings move then yes.
  3. As far as the logo, animation, and LEDs, they could put a giant screen up there like the type used in X2s station. Not only would that be lit by LEDs, but because it's basically a giant monitor, they could animate it as well. The way this park is with keeping up on changing burned out light bulbs, it would have to be lit by LEDs, and the fact that it's so high up, using standard fluorescent lighting, would be a lot more expensive to maintain due to the height and frequent bulb changes. A less expensive option to the giant monitor would be to use the existing sign and retrofit it with color changing LEDs. A good set of LEDs in that sign should last at least 5-10 years. EBL, I've been wondering about those LEDs for home use but I have stayed away from them because of what you mentioned and I just don't think they are bright enough to use for that.
  4. Secretly, I'm hoping that they slowly remove every single piece of track and replacement with nothing but trim brakes and cottage cheese. The non-stop bickering back and forth will result in one of the largest discussion threads on TPR and thus bump our Alexa rankings even higher! --Robb "What can I say...I'm selfish!" Alvey Mmm...cottage cheese.
  5. ^Yeah this model is amazing, maybe the guides are there but you can't see them. Either way it is amazing!
  6. That's awesome but where are the guide wheels?
  7. Thanks Robb. Guy, if you are reading this, that was fantastic!
  8. This question is for Guy.... I've always wanted to ask, who is that in your avatar picture hovering over the lift on what looks like Goliath? Everytime I see a post from you and see that avatar, I keep wondering who that is, hmm looks familiar.
  9. Why would you have to remove a piece of track to do that.
  10. ^Could be the name/theme of the giant 2012 coaster, hmmm.
  11. Not at all trying to knock you here (honest!) - I just find it interesting that something like a trim brake on, what seems to be in most accounts, a pretty amazing new ride kept you out of the park entirely? Yeah, how many awesome rides and experiences must have been missed because of something as silly as a trim brake. Really, a trim brake kept you from visiting an entire park and riding one of the most awesome coasters built? Wow that is astonishing. So with most coasters having trim brakes I guess that means you don't go to any parks.
  12. Robb, why did they remove part of the loop on Sreamin'? I missed that.
  13. Or they could modify/weld the trim mounts to the track without removing the entire section unless the mounts are also part of the structural support of the spine of that track section. It could also be that they are mounting the trims to this section of track and it is easier for them to install them on the track section 'out of the ride' and allows them to place the trims more accurately. Don't know, this is very interesting, it's funny, ever since this ride opened they just can't leave it alone. What's next?
  14. GIANTS WIN WORLD SERIES!!!!! Nothing to do with the thread but it is the local team.
  15. No way, LED wheels? SWEEET! Just one question... what is a grabenfahrt?
  16. I agree about the Batmans but I will submit Flightdeck (Top Gun) at CGA, it is very short but really intense.
  17. How can a ride (Thrillshot) have accidents if it never operates...LOL
