  1. Getting too much stuff....not getting another new thing for years? Don't be too sure of that! The new CEO did say he wants a new attraction at every park every year.
  2. I have four... "Logger's Run"....sort of original I guess "Log Jammer"...I always thought this was an interesting name "Invertigo"....unusual "Abismo"....just cool
  3. I think the reason they did not do this on the back of the tower as well is simply because they did not want to. They were able to do it on the sides and if they really wanted to, could have engineered a way to do it on the back side, the shape of the tower really is not relevant. If the park wants it bad enough it will be done and its a good bet to say Intamin could have figured out a way. I think it will be really interesting to see how they do they station and que for this.
  4. But not most S&S Towers at major Six Flags parks. I totally agree with you Robb. And its amazing the way they can work around and with things to accomplish a goal like this, nothing is impossible.
  5. I seem to remember several pages back many were saying this was not possible, and 'somebody' mentioning that if they wanted to do it (Intamin) would find a way, so there you go. But anyway this looks amazing!....WOW!
  6. The hypothetical coaster drawn in looks like it goes outside the park boundaries a little.
  7. When they rub against things they should not even be touching plus I'm pretty sure there is a brake on the MCBR that squeezes the fins to stop the car there, which it had been doing a lot of previously.
  8. To be fair, it sounds like you put her in the awkward position of having to answer a rhetorical question. What did you expect her to say? "Sorry, I didn't see that?" I don't really see the point in bothering to ask that question. But there is no reason, in that situation, for the employee to tell the guest that they are holding up the line, that was just plain rude.
  9. ^Invertigo wheels? Looks like a few have the brown mark off center. Maybe the guides are smaller than the other two, gosh, I've ridden so many times and looked at the wheels but I don't remember but I'm pretty sure the road and upstops are the same wheel. I do remember one very interesting ride on it though. I sat in the middle of the train and one of the road wheels on that car had a flat spot, so it was thumping as it rolled, imagine what that was like when it was going fast! Thump thump thump....
  10. ^Wow, she told you that you were holding up the line? That's terrible! Yeah, very unprofessional but what do you expect from a themepark. Even so, there is no reason to be like that towards a guest and you should have been served first. Where exactly was this? The reason I ask is when I was there recently the drink stand I waited in line for by Tatsu, during the week, had a decent line but for just serving drinks and three employees working it, it moved very slowly-seemed like it took forever but the girl that waited on us who was very busy was still polite and was moving as fast as she could.
  11. Maybe it was used as one of the guide or upstop wheels as on that ride those don't contact the track all the time like the road wheels do, so that might explain it. I think if it was a road wheel the dark spot would be more in the center and more pronounced, but I don't know for sure but from what I remember the road, guide, and upstop wheels were all the same (size). Still, its a really neat thing to have especially if that ride meant something to you. Some coasters use flat wheels for the guide wheels I believe and if this one is flat it could have been a guide wheel, maybe someone who has worked on this ride could clear this up.
  12. ^^I'm curious to know, what was the incident with the rude employee about?
  13. I guess SF Great America is finally getting an Aquatrax then!
  14. What you guys want and what you actually get could be very different. ^Zacspins take up very little room. Have you ever been on one?
  15. Why should MM be the only SF park with a Zacspin when one would fit perfectly here?
  16. I see the jagged edge star swirly things there that you would see on a Zacspin car that are between the inner seat and track, and you can clearly see the Zacspin track and those look exactly like Zacspin restraints. Um so yeah....Zacspin!
  17. Just once I would like to see a vidoe of some idiots doing this and actually fallingout of the ride and getting badly injured, not killed, just badly injured to teach them a lesson. Yeah it sounds awful but that's what needs to happen.
  18. LOL! Maybe DA will burn to the ground and they will put in a real attraction.
  19. As the wheels wear the actual diameter gets smaller. If you were to measure your wheel against a new one (not that you could) your wheel would be a tad bit smaller, there is a gauge they use to determine when the wheel is too small and needs replacing. Plus I don't think they would give away a new, pricey wheel but also you are lucky to have one....I'm jealous! I always wanted an Intamin wheel because their name is on it. It would be neat if you could frame it in a box with glass and hang it on the wall!
  20. If you are going to simplify my statement, then yes. "An intense, REAL free fall was disappointing." I also have to say that I appreciate the bouncy part after the initial fall; it completes the ride experience, instead of just getting up and leaving 5 seconds after the climax of the ride. Well ok, I was just asking and I see your point about the "bouncy" part, I have to admit that part is kind of fun.
