I agree. The S&S towers are tame, the Intamin towers are intense and really fun and are a true free fall....not this controlled fall nonsense. You sort of get ripped off on some of your "falling-ness" on an S&S tower...lol

While that would be a good spot I don't think the area is big enough (unless they have construction planned) for the tower, its cue and exit, and a clear path to Superman. But, there is room around it to make that work so I don't know.....could be.

Ok so if DV consumed resources that could be used to rehab other rides, would not another coaster basically do the same thing? With so many coasters there removing one would not really make a difference in the rehab schedule but more staffing would.

Get rid of the Pictorium and use that space for a coaster.

Get rid of Goliath and put in a good giga.

Eventhough it may appear there is no space for a particular ride, if they want to put it there, they will find a way. So really, there is never not enough space.

An giga-Abismo would totally rock MM and put it back on the map as top thrills on the planet!!! A giga Abismo.......OH MY!

A large Eurofighter or huge version of Abismo would easily fit that space, but an Abismo type ride would have very low capacity unless they could develop one to run multiple cars while the Eurofighter can already run that way.

Scream or any other coaster at MM is not going anywhere, except of course DV. The train (singular use of the word because this ride can only ever have ONE) is fine and not going to be replaced.

That's exactly how GL was running when I rode it about a week ago, and there aren't any trims missing, looks like they are all still there.

You said the same thing about 2011, and while Scream might make you happy, others, like myself would not be happy with it. But since there's no indication that it will be leaving SFMM anytime soon, there's no point in talking about it. On the topic of DV, has anyone heard anything about the trains, and if they could get the new Vekoma restraints or a completely new train? They could get a new train for it but they probably won't (as far as they see it possibly) there really is nothing wrong with the current train and if I'm not mistaken it was recently rehabbed but, a new train with new restraints would help with the bashing although everytime I have ridden it I didn't get bashed anymore than any other coaster, so it wasn't really that bad.

Why would they do that? And why from MM and why Scream? Why not Goliath so a better coaster, like a giga could go there?

I don't think so, as SFMM already has Riddler's Revenge , i don't think SFMM wants 2 stand up coasters that would be just down-right weird. Why not? Canada's Wonderland is going to have two huge B&M coasters that are very similar. In fact the only real differences are the trains and height and both are sit down B&M coasters.

"We have the most coasters of any park on the planet, oh wait, not anymore!"...lol Given the recent dealings with Intamin if it is a new coaster I would not be surprised if it was from them, but who knows. Since they did clear out the space next to DV for a coaster they ended up putting somewhere else and with DV gone, that opens up a nice piece of land for something good, perhapse a nice intense compact Intamin full circuit coaster. I don't think a drop tower would go there as I agree with that being the back corner of the park it would not make sense but what do I know! Imo, IF a drop tower was coming, if it wasn't put somewhere on the summit then it would most likely go in the front or middle of the park.
