  1. I pre-ordered the new Bon Iver album on Monday. "Perth" is fucking amazing, love the mellow guitar riff at the start that ends up winding through the song. I also like how the album just fades in and out of each song. Can't wait for winter to come and head west to the Rockies to ski up some deep powder while i blast this inside my helmet... P.S.: Last time i went to Canada's Wonderland i left my iPod on (accidentally, of course ) while i was on Behemoth and blasted Flying Lotus' "Do The Astral Plane". The beat kicked in as i was sitting in the back row heading down the first drop. Best experience ever . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYHypCyo7ZY
  2. Mind Drips-Neon Indian Fantastic Song
  3. THIS! Everybody at my School says Skrillex is awesome but i had listened to his stuff about a year ago when he was still unsigned and it sounded terrible. I hate to admit it but i actually remixed "My Name Is Skrillex" and that turned out horrible, save the samples that i chooped up from SebastiAn's "Dog". Seriously, if you listen to "Reptile Theme" it sounds like your throwing children into an industrial-sized blender. No thanks. If you wanna listen to good dubstep, go listen to Emalkay. He is probably one of the best dubstep artists as of late and is coming out with an album soon. Should be quite good.
  4. ^Jack Beats is sweet, but not the best. Anyways, i just found out about this thread and read the first page . Anyways, here are some albums i'd recommend to people here if they're into electronic/indie stuff thats coming out soon/out now: SebastiAn - Total (May 30th) Ed Banger/Because Music (If you've heard the leak, you know this thing is amazing. Go check out "Embody" if you wanna know what this evil genius is about.) Foster the People - Torches (May 23rd) Warner Music (Go listen to "Pumped Up Kicks". 'Nuff said.) Seapony - Go With Me (Out Today) Hardly Art (It's a little meh, but still somewhat solid.) Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues (Out Now) Sub Pop (Best Indie Rock Album of the year so far, hands down.) Big K.R.I.T. - The Return of 4eva (Out Now) Independent (Trust me, this beats Tyler the Creator's GOBLIN by a mile. No misogynistic lyrics needed.) Washed Out - Within and Without (July 12) Sub Pop ("Eyes Be Closed" was just released not too long ago and it sounds pretty great and different from everything else in the indie world right now, except for maybe Flying Lotus, Neon Indian or Tame Impala. I have a feeling this is going to be a great summer album.) And some classics i already have from this year: Toro Y Moi-Underneath The Pine Caribou-SwimRemixes tUnE-yArDs-w h o k i l l Panda Bear-Tomboy The Weeknd-House of Balloons Lykke Li-Wounded Rhymes PJ Harvey-Let England Shake James Blake-Selftitled Cut Copy-Zonoscope Radiohead-The King of Limbs Flying Lotus-Cosmogramma Alt. Takes Frank Ocean-Nostalgia Ultra The Jet Age of Tomorrow-Voyager There, your musical tastes have been greatly expanded .
  5. I have heard a circulating rumor lately regarding the 2012 project: It may be a B&M Floorless Coaster. I'm not sure if this means Dragon Fire and Speed City Raceway are getting the boot but i hope they'll stay. I still love me the Arrow goodness that is Dragon Fire, not to mention it's the only Arrow coaster with counter-clockwise corkscrews in exsitence.
  6. Why dosen't this get relocated to Fun Spot Orlando? They're doing an expansion and just surveyed their guests about bringing in new rides and attractions and they said they wanted Roller Coasters, so why not bring the woodie there? It'd be perfect!
  7. So...Anybody besides me think that the Castle in Shanghai will be bigger than Californias?
  8. I like the sound of Banana Roll, but in the style of Drachen Fire and this being pretty much just being an over-inverted cutback, maybe it should just be called an "Inclined Cutback"?
  9. Anybody have $4 million on their hands so we can hire Adena Corp. to transport this from Fuji-Q to Cedar Point?
  10. Kumba over at Busch Gardens Tampa. Can't wait to go back down there in October for Howl-O-Scream and Cheetah Hunt/Cheetah Run.
  11. Great pics! Nice caption on the Cedar Fair Head Offices btw. Definitely calling that building "Kinzel Castle" from now on
  12. 5 years, give or take. CF will come in, see there is no big coasters in the park and slap a B&M Hypercoaster into the mix...and a WindSeeker . But all joking aside, my home park is Canada's Wonderland, so it will be interesting to see if Paramount can actually step up to the plate when it comes to building a theme park. Hopefully by 2015 they'll actually have somebody within the company who knows how to keep a park thriving in Europe.
  13. Does anybody else feel like this the TPR equivalent to whats happening in Libya? I mean, Dan hasn't gotten an facebook page yet, Giddhafi hasn't stepped down either. It just goes on and on and on...
  14. I thought i'd never see a park like Canada's Wonderland on this list. Yay. Whats the perk for CW?
  15. Emailed him. Not waiting for a response, just a facebook page that everybody on TPR can creep collectively
  16. Behemoth @ Canada's Wonderland. The first drop gets me every time.
  17. "Why was the height restriction for Cheetah Hunt planned as 48" as with all other Intamin coasters with OTSR's the height restriction is 54"? Were the OTSR restraints for Cheetah Hunt modified to fit shorter guests?"
  18. That vid wasn't bad at all! Somehow your iPhone actually made Gwazi look...smooth cannot wait to re-ride Gwazi and ride Cheetah Hunt for the first time in June! this looks, as Robb always says, FREAKING AWESOME
  19. Well, if Ferrari World goes under, we can all hope for Formula Rossa to come to the U.S. sometime soon
  20. I haven't been to BGT since April 2008 and when i went i rode Gwazi Tiger (Both sides open, but non-dueling ) and i thought it was really good, but still partially rough. But hailing from the Toronto-area in Canada and having CW nearby means that im pretty much used to having my spleen rearranged every time i go. These Millenium Flyers look sweet though, i can just imagine the feeling of dueling against Gwazi Lion or Tiger with a new semi-open style coaster train . I'm heading down to BGT in June, hopefully Cheetah Hunt will be open by then and i can ride both those monsters excited!
  21. 1.Cheetah Hunt @ Busch Gardens Tampa-Heading down to florida in the summer 2.Windseeker @ Canada's Wonderland-Home park + 301 foot Tower Ride = 3.First visit ever to Cedar Point & The Wizarding World of Harry Potter @ Universal! 4.Going to Coachella Music Festival in 2011 (to hopefully see Daft Punk...if they show up)
  22. Park City looks awesome, have you tried the alpine coaster there yet? A resort near my chalet up in northern Ontario just got one . And i love skiing, i've been skiing for 14 years (since age 2) and got into freestyle skiing 4 years ago, and it's just awesome. Nice to see that TPR is opening up a new world of fun to coaster fanatics...
  23. Suspended coasters are a dying breed and all of them will soon be removed, but that dosen't mean something isn't going to replace it. And if BBW's replacement is an Intamin LSM Launcher like Cheetah Hunt then thats awesome and i don't think it will matter if BBW was gone in the first place...but if Vortex @ Canada's Wonderland was removed, well...
  24. omg cant wait to see you guys over at my home park (Wonderland). Hopefully they've fixed some other things around the park such as the wooden coasters (we really need a GCI, and badly) and made sure Planet Snoopy dosen`t suck.
