  1. I just grabbed a copy of the new Crystal Castles record "(III)" earlier this week. It's probably their best album to date and "Wrath of God", "Plague", "Affection" and "Violent Youth" are all standouts. One of the best electronic releases this year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxVm2_ojQtk Crystal Castles - "Plague (Official Video)" Crystal Castles - "Affection"
  2. QFT On another Daft Punk-related note, their currently working on their yet-to-be-titled 4th Studio Album and are working with Nile Rodgers of Chic fame and legendary Italo-Disco producer Giorgio Moroder. I hope they're bringing the slick funk back that they had on both "Discovery" and "Homework", both are in my top 10 albums of all time.
  3. I am just going to say this about Shambhala and Leviathan, Leviathan is a fantastic ride. It's been running A LOT faster compared to the TPR POV that was posted of it two weeks ago. Where it was somewhat crawling over those camelbacks and that last overbanked turn it's hauling A$$ now. Looks to be on the same if not a tiny bit better level than Shambhala. Shambhala looks absolutely amazing though and looks as if it's creating massive amounts of airtime over those hills as well as carrying butt-loads of speed. I hope one day I get to ride it as it looks as if it has the potential to be the #1 hyper that B&M has ever created. Just keep in mind everyone that Leviathan is not a Hyper-Coaster, it's a Giga. It's very different compared to Shambhala and even Behemoth. Shambhala = #1 B&M Hyper (by the looks of it). Leviathan = #1 B&M Giga (for now anyways).
  4. I thought I would show you guys some music from a friend of mine. His name is Sasha Sosin but he goes by the name of Action (formerly Action Movie Hero Boy). He makes really good electronic dance tunes. Here's one of them. http://official.fm/tracks/246834?no_frameset=true And one of my other friends from Montreal who goes by the stagename of Kaytradamus will be performing at Osheaga Music Festival in August.
  5. Kumba @ BGT. My new favorite B&M .
  6. Big props to everybody whos been bringing up Daft Punk in this forum as of late. They've been working on their new album for quite some time now and have been collaborating with likes of Panda Bear and Nile Rodgers of Chic. http://www.pitchfork.com/news/45364-nile-rodgers-offers-more-daft-punk-collab-info/
  7. Behemoth's testing phase began in March and ran all the way through up until a few days before Media Day in April of '08. Leviathan will probably be on the same schedule when it comes to testing, but they may start a bit earlier for Leviathan considering it is B&M's first Giga Coaster plus both them and CW will want to make sure its running smoothly for Media Day, Season Pass Preview Night and Opening Day.
  8. You made a great ticket purchase man. I saw SBTRKT Live at The Hoxton and it was amazing. While it wasnt as hard-hitting or polished as his DJ sets it was still an amazing set. But this was back in December, so the live show should be more refined now. Trust me, he's worth it. So is Machinedrum, but I haven't seen any of his live / DJ material though.
  9. Hopefully they will have a cool statue at the entrance similar to Dragon Fire and Wild Beast. That would be awesome! I read on CWmania that the entire plaza/area will get a nice facelift. It should look quite nice \ Canada's Wonderland confirmed they would have a few "suprises" in store for the new Leviathan area along with the re-theming of the building and facades in Medieval Faire for 2012.
  10. Favorite Band of 2011: tie between Wu Lyf and Toro Y Moi Favorite Band of All-Time: Daft Punk
  11. It's meant to be. Check out the source material and you'll understand why it sounds like that [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24fbkO8nUho&safety_mode=true&persist_safety_mode=1&safe=active/url]
  12. I play drums and produce my own dance / hip-hop / brainfeeder-esque tunes through Ableton Live 8. You can find my stuff at soundcloud.com/siliconmusic But my best tracks you can listen to here: soundcloud.com/siliconmusic/oohaah-remix soundcloud.com/siliconmusic/beat-connection-silicon-screen soundcloud.com/siliconmusic/grizzly-bear-two-weeks-silicon-edit Tell me what you think
  13. This is me, being a Canadian and what not. Yup. I am level 7 hipster. Fear me.
  14. What about cheese? I'm pretty sure Arrow would've tried it... On a different note, that interlocking cobra roll/batwing has me thinking. Has anyone ever put a vertical loop through the middle of a cobra roll? Sort of over the cross track at the halfway point. Alton Towers presents The X-Sector Wine & Cheese Festival, New for 2013
  15. ^Enough of that I have to listen to everybody talk about him at my high school at least 5 times a day and it's down right annoying. Not that i hate him in anyway, it's just i don't want to hear anything about him for a while, even though that probably won't happen. Anyways, if you guys want to check out something awesome that has developed over the past few days, check this out: http://www.electronic-battle-weapons.com/2012/01/02/justice-live-summafieldayze-2012-gold-coast-australia/comment-page-1/ Justice (electronic duo from Paris) just performed their first live show in 5 years at Field Day Festival in Australia on the 1st. This is the full recording from their set and it sounds awesome. I'm going to see them in New York at Terminal 5 later this year and I can't wait. If you grabbed their latest album "Audio, Video, Disco" and thought it was pretty "meh" like myself, this will change your mind. Especially with the 15-minute extended version of AVD, it's amazing.
  16. Oh my god, if i could get the same amount of that floater airtime you receive on Behemoth on Leviathan, then that would be unreal. Let's hope Claude or Walter is reading this right now and will make the trims feel non-existant I have a feeling that trims will either moderately brake the trains (if its a full load) or not at all (small load) considering the 182 ft. airtime hill is higher than the 164 ft. barrell roll. But hey, that's just me. I'm not an engineer . Oh, and Behemoth seems to still pick up airtime on the 3rd and 4th airtime hills when it's been trimmed 30% of the time. I love that coaster .
  17. Woodstock is the park's third location. Niagara Falls has always been the new home of Canada's Wonderland... No love for Marineland?
  18. I remember a time when I considered CW to be a second-hand park and that even though I was lucky to be living close to a theme park, I always thought "Why couldn't I have been born into a family that lived in Florida or California?". All I could think about was how so many other enthusiasts had all these parks that were so much better than CW. Then Cedar Fair came along, and my perception changed with Behemoth and WindSeeker, but that nagging feeling was still there. Once Leviathan was announced, that feeling almost completley went away and now with this update, It's no longer there . I cannot wait to ride this in May and I really really hope it ends up being the most intense and awesome-ness filled machine that B&M has built in a long time.
  19. That would be one intense headchopper effect. Just think about all the GP thinking "Oh God, I am going to get decapitated!".
  20. Either Intimidator or Silver Star, both of which as stated above are B&M Hyper-Trimmers . Let's hope Leviathan dosen't have the same fate. If Levi actually has airtime that will give it a nice competitive edge over MF, but it still wont beat I-305.
  21. Do you guys remember a little coaster called Millenium Force? Without it's second station, THAT would be a super-long break run as well. And besides, do you know how cool it is going to be as you hit the breaks, look to your left and be able to see a train drop down Dragon Fire's first hill whilst your almost at the same height as the first drop of DF? I don't know about you, but that is a big selling point to me with Leviathan: You can interact with another coaster even while your on the break run! So before you whine, look at the positives of this break run: 1) Nice view of Medieval Faire as you race back into the breaks 2) Interaction with DF's first hill (when it's timed correctly) 3) Being able to look over and see a train race down Leviathan's first drop! Even if it's super awkward and is like the NBA player of Brake Run's at CW it will help finish a really cool ride experience on Leviathan.
  22. Yahama Racing Coaster @ Trans Studio Indoor Theme Park
  23. Anybody have the new SBTRKT LP? I listen to it everyday whilst i go longboarding. Oh yeah, i also make my own music. I'm releasing an album next month, so heres some tunage from that and some tunage from other stuff: http://official.fm/tracks/259312 Silicon - Dream of Magic http://official.fm/tracks/148292 The Bloody Beetroots - Dimmakmunication (Silicon Remix)
  24. The last concert i was at was The Bloody Beetroots @ The Guvernment during their 2010 Death Crew 77 Tour. It was the loudest, hardest, and sickest show ive been to. Anyways, heres my lineup for this year: OFWGKTA Foster the People SBTRKT Deadmau5 And Coachella 2012 next year Gonna be sweet.
  25. guy who likes other guys...yep.
