Just finished Guitar Hero 5 on expert and I gotta say, it was the lamest, easiest, most boring Guitar Hero game to date. Very disappointed.

That coaster looks ridicu-nuts. When is the Best of China trip? 2012?

Nope, the sound you hear is the epic fail of sound effects on coasters. Both Bizarros, X2, Terminator; all loud rides, all with on-ride sound. Didn't it occur to the person signing the checks that it would be rather difficult to hear that sound?

So how much is the add-on for pancakes and strippers?

So is Aska going to be moved anywhere? Because it's pretty obvious it's not going to operate in its current location anymore, so I don't see how it could still be in the rankings. Just my opinion.

^When you're talking about TV shows that feature coasters, it's completely accurate. They aren't going to go to a park that has a Boomerang and an SLC as their feature coasters (hello, Wild Adventures), they're going to go to a park that has four coasters that are 200 feet or taller and five that go 70 mph or faster. Coaster shows just want the biggest and fastest, not the ones that enthusiasts like. How else do you explain them drooling over SOB and Kingda Ka? His complaint was about how much the Travel Channel (or whatever other station) covers Cedar Point coasters, not about how good the parks are. That's the same as the people who piss and moan about how much ESPN covers Tim Tebow and how that somehow makes him a horrible person. It's just a sad, jealous argument. If you want the Travel Channel all over the coasters at your park, get them to build better coasters; just like I say to rival football fans, if you want ESPN to cover your best player, get some better players. For the record, I don't think CP is the best park by any stretch of the imagination, but it's certainly better than most options out there.

Word actually got leaked about STR among employees at the beginning of the 2008 season. It was actually originally planned to be built in 2009 as a replacement for SRF. However, both budgetary concerns and a change in plans bumped it back to 2010 and saved SRF. Word was from maintenance staff that SRF almost didn't get past inspection for the 2008 season and that's why they were going to tear it down, but instead they overhauled it the next off season so it could stay and then redesigned STR to go "around" it. In early 2008, we didn't know the exact details of STR, but we knew at that point it was going to be a flume that went on the island.

^My guess is The Raven put CCI on the map, made every park and their mother want CCIs, CCI went bankrupt because they took on too many projects on the cheap and couldn't afford to keep open, and GCI was formed with one of the former CCI workers. That's my guess. Unless my woodie history is a bit off, which is a possibility.

While that's some scary stuff, I must admit that from a safe distance, it's pretty neat to watch a building burn down. That being said, I promise I'm not a pyro! Glad nobody was hurt!

Not to be one of those "it's a new coaster so it MUST be coming to the park nearest me" kinda people, but the terrain closely resembles that of the hill that Rampage sits on. Now obviously I know it's not replacing Rampage and it's not coming to Alabama Adventure, but the terrain is still similar. But if I had a guess, I would say it's going to BGA.

^^I will say that Prowler was a very, very solid coaster. My #2 GCI behind Evel Knievel. But it's no Voyage.

It's definitely not the most exciting event to watch, and I'm pretty sure that if I tried ski jumping I would end up having an accident in my spandex. That stuff is nuts, they fly well over the length of a football field IN THE AIR!

^^I still to this day don't understand why people get so worked up over roller coasters. They're fun, but they aren't life or death.
