  1. ^ Don't hold your breathe for 2007 .. it's most likely 2008 as they have to secure a long term lease with the fairgrounds first and then design the ride, etc.
  2. ^ about 1,592 miles close.

  4. Re-profiling and trackwork are two entirely different things. Most coasters receive trackwork in the off-season which includes replacing the lams ( 1 to all 8) and various other little things with maybe the catwalks, etc. SFOT does around 500-1,000ft of the Texas Giant each year and they haven't re-profiled it in a long time. Reprofiling is for example in 1994 when they took out the double-up on the Texas Giant and made it into a fan curve, or the same in 2002 with the Rattler, when the double-down was turned into a fan curve. Reprofiling involves usually the ride manufacturer or another company in the industry to ensure the dynamics are kept too, some parks like HW and Knoebels would do this in house given their staff they keep with some outside help.
  5. Funny SFM used SFOT images in their "45th ads". Eh .. I guess use the park who IS 45 years old .. that's a positive thing.
  6. Again .. for the right price, the companies will do anything. B&M did the "launch" even tho Walter was strongly against the non-conventional style, granted THEY didn't do the launch system. Also, they've created wooden rolling stock .. so right price, gets you whatever you want. Money speaks and unless they have serious doubts and/or concerns, most will do whatever, or the business goes to those that will.
  7. Give them enough money and they'll do anything, like most companies.
  8. ^ That's not true, some ERT's during CoasterMania can get insane due to the high attendence there as it is NOT required you be apart of any coaster club, it's open to the general public.
  9. Yes, I wouldn't attempt it. The park isn't THAT far, but it isn't close. With how poorly designed the airport is, security alone is annoying and it also depends on the airline flown, but again, the airport is poorly designed inside and outside, so I wouldn't risk it, plus getting rental cars is always a pain in the ass for us when we go there.
  10. The delay is for the LIMs to cool down as they don't have enouh blowers on the motors. And, they send you only once .. not twice, unless your on crack.
  11. Or if you are running XP .. run it through Windows Movie Maker in WMV (Windows Media Format) and then upload it to the Video Forum.
  12. Price: CF Passholders are free .. otherwise its around $35.00/ticket (admission to the park/food) Schedule: ERT starts around 630am and runs til 930 when Joe Cool and Hotel guests are allowed in. The last two I did (2004, 2005), they had ERT on Top Thrill, Millennium Force and Mantis. After ERT .. lunch around noon in a pavilion, then free the rest of the day and about 2-3 hrs of ERT at night usually on Magnum and Raptor. That's about it.
  13. ^ and the Looping Star met the same fate as most .. to the trash heap.
  14. John Tort .. err . the original Rod and Princeton on Broadway left Vegas to go to London along with Ann .. but appears he was just there to help with the rehersals .. sucks, cause he was the best of them all.
  15. How was the London version of Ave. Q? I haven't heard much about it, except 2 of the original Broadway cast members are there now.
  16. SFEG doesn't fit the Herschend's profile, Frontier City is more of an SDC park than the concrete jungle of SFEG. Granted SFEG isn't bad looking, but the location and all makes it better suited as a mall or something which would bank being between the Pepsi Center and Invesco Field .. plus being on reclaimed Superfund site, there's little that can be done there .. but again .. a huge shopping center would possibly be the only soultion.
  17. I agree .. this sounds like a decent event .. now if Germany falls through .. I know where I'll be looking that weekend as Chris's events are great and DW is great as well.
  18. "Welcome to Six Flags Magic Mountain" .. I think that's the worst before or after.
  19. Oh the hillbilly retard? I mean Arkansian ... Arkansas person ... banana?
  20. Except the area looks alot better than Dollywood's and well .. all the rides were Zamperla this time around .. Zamperla is having one hell of a year to say the least.
  21. The first two seats on the second car were broken ... makes me feel good considering their mine train was making a super creepy noise and maintenance did nothing about it.
  22. I saw a preview of some of the effects during Spring Con .. that's about it. The plan was to move it yearly to each park, but that maybe dead now with the CF buyout.
  23. Hopefully another TR after this week's little jaunt to Kentucky .. oOooOoOoo
  24. They do parties at their place because it's easier to control people and don't have to worry about renting a location out. Trust me .. the parties are worth the effort .. cept when the airfare is $378! ... I hope they are listening ..
