  1. I'd count Matterhorn as two since they don't have same layout and are not side-by-side throughout the ride. Rides like Gemini, Colossus, etc. should be counted as one. Rides like Space Mountain and Premieval Whirl @ WDW should be counted as one since they're just mirrored image from one another. (whether one travels backwards/forwards, they're the same) Rides like Dueling Dragons, Lightning Racer, etc. should be counted as two since they're mostly different. That's how I count the coaster counts. If the coaster track's mirrored (next to each other) or mostly side-by-side, they're one. If not, they're two.
  2. Rather far away from SFMM, though. That's more convenient to DCA/Disneyland/Knott's. Not really. Going to DCA/DLR/Knott's can take 45 minutes while it takes only about 20-30 minutes to get to SFMM from LAX.
  3. I didn't think it made the ride really bad... There were some good forces on the loop, as well as nice pops of air on those bunny hops. I did feel the trim, but it didn't seem like it slowed the ride down at all.
  4. hehe... I found a topic on a Disney forum asking for questions on TDR. Are you seriously going? PLEASE take Tons and tons and tons and tons of pictures!!!!! Maybe even videotape the whole countdown and put it on the next England DVD??
  5. but we aren't talking about staffs/park conditions... We're talking about whether CP has better collection of coasters than SFMM. I think...
  6. I prefer GIB... I just love the rush of being dropped straight down without any stopping at the top!
  7. No offense, but it sounds like you're just being a CP fan... SFMM has good roller coasters, too. Since when did SFMM started buying cheap coasters? 4D, Stand-up, Inverted, Suspended, 2 Wooden, 2 Kiddies, Mine Train, Schwarkopf Looping, Flying (soon), GIB, Multi-Looping, Reverse Freefall, Hyper... Doesn't look like a bad combination to me.
  8. oh yeah, go to In-N-Out. Also, since you are from a far-away country, I recommend you eating inside the park (Mooseburger Lodge, etc) because just going to Del Taco nearby the park will take AT LEAST an hour because the walking to the parking lot and back takes loong time.
  9. 0 on ipod around 8,050 on my computer
  10. most of my friends pretend like they know as much as me about roller coasters...
  11. I think it's a perfect timing (though of course, mid-November would be even better since they have Christmas events at BOTH parks)! They have Haunted Mansion holiday version already set up, plus at TDL, they have a lot of Halloween decorations, that's aimed for the kids. And of course, like always, they have a Halloween parade. They also have Dramatic DisneySea at TDS, and have exclusive shows. The rides closed at each park is as follows during the period you are going: -Western River Railroad - 2005/9/15~10/5 (TDL) -Pinocchio - 2005/10/1~10/14 (TDL) -Jungle Cruise (not going to miss much, since it's completely in Japanese) - 2005/10/2~11/10 (TDL) -it's a small world - 2005/10/16~11/4 (TDL) -Magic Lamp Theatre - 2005/10/10~10/22 (TDS) -Mystic Rhythm - 2005/10/1~10/9 (TDS) Oh, and I'm going to put not-to-be-missed attractions especially since you have a small child with you since I'm in a lucky mood!: -Disney's Electrical Parade: Dreamlights (TDL) though it uses the same music, all the floats are different, and are HUGE -Pooh's Hunny Hunt (TDL) just awesome -Halloween Parade (TDL) again, this was pretty cool. Fun rather than scary -Disney's Dreams on Parade (TDL) The BEST day-time parade I've seen -Mermaid Lagoon Theatre (TDS) Again, pretty good show, especially if your child loves Little mermaid -Lilo's Luau & Fun (TDL) reservation required at Polynesian Terrace Restraunt. Get there QUICK!) and everything else that your child loved at DLR/WDW
  12. all of Disney's secondary parks are really bad... (meaning non-MK parks) except for DisneySea and EPCOT.
  13. I've been to DLR, WDW, and TDL and as far as the experience goes, it'll go to either WDW or TDL. But probably WDW since it's more on a grander scale. DL just felt old and outdated especially when you go there twelve times in a month...
  14. haha I can imagine how long the line would be to just take the pictures with Mickey and poo.
  15. 1. Indiana Jones Temple of the Crystal Skull (TDS) 2. Journey to the Center of the Earth (TDS) 3. Incredible Hulk (IoA) 4. X (SFMM) 5. Xcelerator (Knott's) 6. Amazing Adventures of Spiderman (IoA) 7. Splash Mountain (MK) 8. Tower of Terror (MGM Studios) 9. Test Track (EPCOT) 10. MIB: Alien Invasion (USF) as you can see, most of the rides aren't coasters.
  16. yup, especially since you think of comments for every single photos that goes in an update... I'm sure Robb's taking a lot of his time coming up with his funny/trivial comments, so kudos to him for making TPR more fun place to be!!!
  17. Is it just me or the original soundtrack for SM sounds John William-ish from 80s?
  18. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=humdinger Where do they get all these ride names from?
  19. I think you should go in this order: Arrive at Tokyo Shinagawa (Aqua Stadium) LaQua Nagashima Spaland (It's kind of a bit away from Tokyo... about 2 hour train ride) Fuji-Q (again, it's not that close from Tokyo) Yokohama area (Sea Paradise, Cosmoworld) then those Disney parks. I'll try to make a map of Japan with "major" parks located, so you can think about which additions you can make. And you NEED to get one of those JR pass since it'll save you a ton, and you can even reserve seats for the bullet trains, just not the "Green car", which is more spacious. You will most likely be using bullet trains all of the time, by the way.
  20. I'm really annoyed by the fact that a lot of the bus drivers can't speak god damn English!
  21. I just don't get why they are only allowing same number of people from each regions to vote for the awards... And most of them probably haven't visited so much, so of course parks in regions with low amount of amusement parks are going to be placed rather higher than they should be...
  22. I'm quite confused by those new coaster ads... And that bathroom is just too hiliarious...
