  1. Based on the latest photos and video, it looks like the following BLACK sections is track complete. The big mess of track around the bottom of the drop is left to go up, but it looks like the structure and track bents are built for the RED parts and ready for it so the track can go in pretty quick. The drop is the biggest gap, and it's hard to tell about the roll and ground s-turns because they are hard to see in any photos. Of course this is just my best guess from looking at the photos/video and not official. Oh geeze, someone get the crayons away from Garbles.
  2. First ever visit to Holiday World for me tomorrow! Anyone have any advice for me? I'm hoping since it's a Thursday it won't be packed. Should be temps in the 70s so we're thinking of doing the waterpark, too.
  3. Oh for f**k's sake. If you go to the website there's a HUGE orange bar across the top of EVERY SINGLE PAGE ON THE ENTIRE WEBSITE that says " Lightning Rod will not be open to the general public at this time due to extended ride commissioning. Learn More" and then when you click on "Learn More" while you're b**ching about how they're obligated to make a statement you'll see the statement that they made and it says... "Lightning Rod will not be open to the general public at this time due to extended ride commissioning. Lightning Rod is an innovative ride featuring new technology never before used on a wooden coaster. The ride manufacturer asked for additional time to commission the ride. Keep watching Dollywood.com for future updates." Oooh it's a conspiracy. They're "remaining quiet" except for on every single page of the website. What do you want them to do exactly? Mail you a puppy and hand-written letter that says "Dear entitled enthusiast. Please have mercy on us and try to forgive us for the fact that you assumed an innovative new coaster that's completely unique would absolutely, 100% be open on time and booked a trip for opening day. I completely understand how one ride being closed would be enough to make you cancel your trip to one of the best parks in America even though a year ago when this ride wasn't here you'd have absolutely loved all of our other offerings which we still have. Please send all bills for therapy and tissues to Dolly directly and we'll be sure to reimburse you. We're really sorry we tried to trick you by not making a statement (except for all over social media and on every singe page of the website). Next time we'll send you smoke signals and hire a sky writer.
  4. First off, proof? Secondly, hollywood insurance policies.
  5. ^ Looking sexy! Unfortunately I won't be able to visit on reopening day. I'll be on a plane to Copenhagen.
  6. ^ I wonder if the 15 year anniversary is anything like they've been doing in Disneyland. "The Year Of Wishes" sounds similar where random guests would be granted a Disney wish, as well as a lucky lottery winner daily via a text lottery.
  7. ^ This is still the best information scene in history -
  8. ^ Because until anything official comes from the park or RMC, everything you read is a rumor. If you want to believe everything you read on the internet, you can, but you're going to be absurdly misinformed.
  9. What amazes me is how the past two pages have been people arguing over a speed that most likely is a complete lie. Am I the only one that read this? Or did everyone else just focus on the "90 mph" and forget everything else? Good god, people, don't you all know the only legit information comes from the Dippin Dots dude?
  10. ^ PHENOMENAL, COSMIC LAND SPACE! Itty bitty water park.
  11. I wouldn't say it derailed, more like the disc split in half. You can hear all of the bolts shearing and metal snapping.
  12. I can't help but be reminded of this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZd_YyFzPD0
  13. ^ Do people even read these threads anymore?
  14. Oh, yeah, almost forgot. #ItllNeverOpen
  15. Alright, I'm gonna come clean about Cinnamon Bread. It's delicious. It's really, really, REALLY damn delicious. However, it's also so delicious and wonderfully warm and fluffy that you can't help but devour it in thirty seconds. Once you see the empty plate you get depressed and them immediately buy another loaf. And then another. And another. Soon you're some blubbering, bloated loser crawling on the ground with stomach pain just outside of the bakery craving more but knowing you shouldn't have another because you might die. Park guests look at you and turn their children's heads away. Skinny guests look at you with pity. Fat guests look at you and have flashbacks to when they experienced the same pain, which then turns to more pity. Finally, finally you're able to relate to Crackhead Jim living in the dumpster down the alley behind your apartment building. And then you get up. And you buy another loaf. Cinnamon Bread destroys lives, people.
  16. ^ Round trip to Shanghai September thru December is ~$600. Just sayin...
  17. Disneyland immediately at opening. Standby for Hyperspace Mountain, immediately loop around and grab a fastpass for later. DO NOT GET A FASTPASS FIRST! The line to get a fastpass will be longer than standby. This line will disappear by the time you ride and walk around again. Some people will say to jump over to DCA and grab a Radiator Springs Racers fastpass, and that's cool if you want to ride with your group. Otherwise don't make it a priority and just jump on the single rider line. I've never had to wait more than 15 minutes and half the time the lady and I end up riding together anyway. No. Just make it Shiriki Vs. Rocket Racoon. The rest of the Guardians need to sit this one out.
  18. It's 2016 and yet here I sit, still watching vertical video.
