That's Thomas Town opening day, but that probably won't affect the coasters too much. -
My first tornado siren
nitrofan replied to la2lvtom's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That kind of reminds me of a YouTube video I saw of SFGAm where there is a Tornado Warning and everyone is running around freaking out. The guy filming asked several park employees where to sheek shelter and they all kind of shrugged and were clueless, and one told him to go to Batman's station (like that's going to hold up in a tornado). It's kind of scary that no one knows what to do. I was at SFOG last year during a Tornado Warning, but no one seemed to know about it. The park was empty and we got on a ton of rides. I don't know why they didn't close though. -

If he is just an Interim CEO and doesn't expect to be the permanent person in the CEO position, then we probably won't see many changes. He probably won't do anything major until there is more stability in his job. -
I've seen a clock like that at the drive-thru for Dunkin Donuts before. I think it's great that they are doing that, I just hope they don't sacrifice safety to beat the clock. I can easily see ops skipping a few seats to beat the clock. That's an interesting reride policy. So if the ride has a 2 hour line, they still let you ride again to fill empty seats?

Rattler looks really cool with all the new, fresh wood. Thanks for sharing! I miss living 2 miles from SFFT. -

Why does everyone hate TDK so much? Would you rather just have a plain wild mouse? I was actually impressed by how good it is. I think it would go well at SFA. -

Because they have absolutely nothing in common except for the name. The problem is that Cedar Fair is heading down the same road Six Flags did. They also came upon a unique opoerunity to relocate a B&M and the family rides for little money. -
That philosiphy could go either way. When my family goes to theme parks, we are on a strict budget to do it as cheaply as possible. When we go to Six Flags, we find the park with the cheapest Season Passes, so there we are covered all season for $29.99 each at SFKK. We are hit with parking at each park, but we spend almost nothing in the parks. We eat before we go to the park, leave food in the car for dinner, then go back in the park for the evening. Really the only money we spend in the park is the occasional light snack, shirt, or on-ride photo. It really evens out to us spending less than $15 per person each time we go to the park including admission. On the other side of that, when I go on school trips to theme parks, I'm always going on coasters constantly, but most people spend the majority of their time in gift shops or getting food. With teens usually not having very many expenses, they have very disposable money and usually get money from their parents as well. I guess it really depends on the family. The parks make very little off of my family.

That's Chang. It was removed from SFKK in Fall 2009. -

Why can't people put their own lap bar down on it? I've always put the lap bar on myself on Vekoma and B&M Flyers and I've never been told otherwise. -

I think so too, they will probably adjust that though. Was that a soundtrack I heard? -

Great TR! I've never seen that much detail of Manta's queue before, and it looks amazing! The station looks kind of disappointing though for how awesome the rest of the queue it. -

Joker's Jinx was a loud coaster, but it really wasn't much of a problem when I was at SFA. I went to SFFT about once a week for 7 years and I never had a problem with Poltergeist either. Noise is what people expect at amusement parks. -

I hope not while the train is moving... That can be very dangerous for the ride ops. I thought he meant check restraint, high 5, check next restraint, high 5, and so on... -
Need help ordering Kings Dominion tickets
nitrofan replied to iplf's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm not sure if King's Dominion does this, but Carowinds has a list of partner hotels on their website that offer park packages. You will have to check them all, but some of them are great deals.
