Man Dies on Atlantis Adventure
Carnage replied to TheGreatOne's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think there have been cases of injury's/deaths involving OSTRs that aren't lowered properly. So it's not specifically related to lap bars. If they were stupid enough to dispatch a train with a drunk employee not restrained, then why wouldn't they have done it with OSTRs? People will always find ways to hurt/kill themselves in stupid way. It's survival of the fittest. Even the SROS restraints still require operator discretion. Only a system where the ride computer keeps a train from dispatching until restraints are in place would work. And even then, where there's a will there's a way. -
It's already been posted to the secret UK trip forum. I think I'm going to be scarred for life after seeing that last picture of Tom. The goggles, they do nothing!!

"lot's of trash cans" That doesn't mean as much to me anymore after being to Dorney. -
KIDS- do you have any (or want them)?
Carnage replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Random, Random, Random
I'm sure I've already got a few dozen running around after all the donations I've made to the sperm bank. /joking. Though seriously I guess I might want to have 1-2 someday. Though I'm quite a few steps short of that goal. Not really planning on it anytime soon. Though I'd prefer to have an even number of boys/girls after seeing what kind of hell my sister went through at the hands of my two brothers and I. (it started when I was born my sister locked herself in the closet and cried because she was sure she was getting a sister). -
Do I really want to know why it's named spanky?

Staying at Breakers Express Cedarpoint questions

^ Only if you're in seperate rooms. I think the BE rooms only sleep 4 people, so if you cram 6 people into one room you're still only going to get a 4 person pass. Oh and FYI that McDonalds across the street is the worst quality McDonalds I have ever been to. Just brutal service. You could go into Sandusky for Bob Evans or some other place, though they tend to be super busy. Basically everything goes to hell once you get outside of Cedar Point. -
I found out that saturday morning at 3am one of my freinds was in a big accident right outside of my house. She was leaving my complex after visiting another freind when she was hit head on by a guy in a new Acura RSX doing about 90 kmh. I'm not sure on the details, but looking at my street I can pretty much guess how it happened. From what I understand the guy isn't insured either. Luckilly she's ok though, just some bad bruising. I only found out yesterday from her brother.

^ Yes and the entire UK trip left without you.

Cedar Fair's "Maverick"

^ I think that falls under looking into things WAY too closely. -
Looks fun!! I'm sick of snow. I've still got two months before I'll see an arrow.

^ That's the funny thing, you don't need a kid. I think the youngest in our group was 22.

For me the east gets it just out of pure volume. The "west" for all intentes and purposes is just California. There's really nothing in between California and the midwest. While the east coast is just packed with great parks.

^ I just interpreted the a-foot thing as reffering to the footer. The bear thing, well I have no idea. -
Man that's crazy. Luckilly you're alright. I've only been in minor accidents. Both times where someone didn't know how to drive and bumped into me.

If you want to hear some bad covers try and find some Max Raabe. Just brutal. Or Paul Anka doing stuff like Nirvana, etc.

Strongest/Most forcefull Launch
Carnage replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wicked Twister back during Coastermania 2003. After being in the park since 6am my body was exhausted. Though it was probably running like normal, the forces felt way more intense then they should. It was actually painful every time the train went into/out of the spikes. Felt like my stomach was getting crushed. Only lasted like 2-3 rides until I couldn't take anymore. -
Abandoned Log Flume Found In Field
Carnage replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's a shame too. I love log flumes. They're just good simple fun rides. Plus they can be unpredictable. Most times you just get splashed a bit. But then from time to time you get drenched. Typically when you front load or back load a boat. -
The nice thing about smaller parks...
Carnage replied to Movieguy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Also Indiana Beach and Holiday World. I agree, the small parks can be just as much fun as the big ones, sometimes even more. -
The last one reminded me of those statues on easter island.

Staying at Breakers Express Cedarpoint questions

1. As long as you have one of the packages breakfast is included. though it's not much, just donuts and coffee type stuff. 2. Don't know. 3. The early entry pass will be good for just the 4 of you(I think it's max 4) So the other two people will not be able to go in for early entry. (unless they havea season pass with Joe Cool). The early entry pass is just one ticket that says the amount of guests on it. So the one ticket will get 4 people in.
