  1. I'm embarrassed now. I seriously thought Viper was Ultra Twister.
  2. This is true. In fact, I myself hounded him for a look, and I was not disappointed in the slightest with what I saw.
  3. ^It's okay, I have pictures from at least 5 separate park days (NOT in a row...) where I'm wearing the same shirt. Apparently it was my first park shirt and I was very very proud of it.
  4. ^Great username!
  5. If you're anything like the typical coaster enthusiast, the answer is definitely, without a question, yes.
  6. I'm absolutely interested in this! However, I haven't the slightest idea whether I could go. I'd probably go alone, and would most likely need to coordinate with other TPR members for transportation and such.
  7. I ranked Voyage #2. Again, I can totally understand why some people don't like Voyage. People here who ranked it low are people who did not like the ride, plain and simple.
  8. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit CGA alone again. But I could stand to hit a few coasters and some flats with friends and/or during a TPR event! Time will tell if that ever ends up happening for me.
  9. I agree that you shouldn't necessarily prejudge Deja Vu them based on your experiences with other Boomerang coasters. GIBs are much more intense!
  10. As a major fan of Aftershock, I couldn't help but really enjoy Deja Vu. I believe it was a little rough, but it's still around my 4th favorite at SFMM. I've always loved vertical drops!
  11. ^Why...why yes! Thanks to you, I have learned so much about the inner workings of my fat red ball. I had no idea it led such an "exciting" life!
  12. Yup, there's just no way to hide my countless buffet visits. "Of course I'm in shape...round is a shape."
  13. I like the exploding car too! What did you first say to me Robb? "I don't know who you are, but I do know that you're fat" ?
  14. ^It was much fun! To continue my tradition of posting every time I play (yes, I'm that nerdy)...I won again! It's cool that it's much easier now! I'm done for the night though! Don't worry, I won't post any more of these. But it's such a pretty green ball!
  15. I finally won!!! And I was part of a TPR takeover of at least 5 people in a row! Good stuff! Anybody else win? For the heck of it, here's the ball I grabbed.
  16. Fun! These are also majorly popular in Portland. But I don't have refined enough taste to eat at them.
  17. SLCs are headbangy and do nothing for me. However, I did like Kong at one point, when I first rode it as my 11th credit. Even then, though, I knew it was somewhat lacking; I was primarily impressed by the dramatic lift hill. I will admit I'm not a major fan of Batmen, but at least they're intense. My ratings: SLC - 5 out of 10. For a full-sized thrill coaster, this is bad. Batclones - 7 out of 10. I can recognize they're good, but they don't stand out too much. Other inverts - 7 or 8 out of 10.
  18. ^Good stuff. I always get some of the East/Northeast woodies confused because several of them have the same names: Comet, Cyclone, Thunderbolt, Wildcat, etc. Some of the lower ranked ones are supposed to be halfway decent, but apparently others have deteriorated over the years.
  19. It's okay, I've only been on 1 of the top 10 coasters. Although I have ridden 15 in the top 50, which is not terrible for a count of 35 woodies.
  20. ^Nice! I've been to 6 of the top 10. Then again, plenty of people have been to 9 or 10 of them!
  21. Okay, I'll keep in mind that it's possible I will enjoy The Beast, but I'll still try not to get too excited about it beforehand. I haven't really heard much about Silver Comet at Martin's Fantasy Island (#45) or Comet at The Great Escape (#33). Are they underrated? Has Comet aged well?
  22. Well then. I guess I better just not think about The Beast again until I actually ride it. It sounds like it's better not to have any kind of preconceived expectations about it.
  23. Prowler was intense! It had a lot of what I like in a coaster, more than just airtime. I agree that Coaster is somewhat overlooked. It may be overshadowed by rides with more modern layouts. And if you're not an airtime fanatic, the crazy stand-up airtime won't mean as much to you as it does to me! Speaking of the TPR boost, which I believe is real and not a bad thing, I did a quick 2-year comparison of the coasters I've ridden and noticed a few big changes, all for coasters on the Middle America trip: Outlaw at Adventureland - up 18 to 77 from 95 This wasn't all that memorable for me, but I recall it had a good mix of average and above average airtime. Screamin' Eagle at SFStL - down 17 to 86 from 69 This coaster was charming, and it had decent airtime and a nice setting, but nothing really made it seem special to me. Tornado at Adventureland - up 18 to 94 from 112 This is an honorable mention for my top 10, and it's one of those coasters I feel awkward about liking so much. But I thought it was an above-average airtime coaster. Timber Wolf at WOF - up 21 to 124 from 145 This was rough, but it was intense and had good airtime, and I was overall impressed with it.
