Hopi Hari Theme Park 2011 - Brazil
technfxrick replied to Lucas.Almeida's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Does anyone know what the operating schedule is for this park, i am looking at going in Early December, which i thought would be there summer season. There is nothing on there calendar for November or December, is that because they haven't announced it, or because the park is closed? -

Looks like a great little park. Thanks for the Report! -
Looks like a great trip. Sometimes even though its an out of the way crappy credit, you get to see parts of the world you wouldnt get to see. Thats one of the reasons why i love this hobby

That's why i'm ok with Singapore Air, its still Star Alliance . But yes, i preach to everyone who flies on even a semi regular basis, stick to one carrier and there Alliance, even if it makes for some not great connections, because after the first 50-75k miles a year, you are basically guaranteed an upgrade. Though i am thinking of ditching United, it seems every trip out west i have this year connects in LAX

I have done both the EWR-SIN and the LAX-SIN and they are really not as bad as you think, i actually prefer them over my usual routing which is IAD-NRT-SIN. it also might have alot to do with 1. They are all Business and First Class, and 2. Its on Singapore Air which is an amazing Airline. I do have to agree though, the flight is very very long, but i dont feel the EWR-SIN is any worse than LAX-SYD or IAD-NRT/IAD-HKG (which are the only other ultra long haul flights i have done)

I would guess not Europe, Robb and Elissa typically seem to of Done overnight flights when they travel. I would guess they wouldnt do a day flight to Europe, as you lose a whole day. Also the in-flight wi-fi is only in the Continental US. I would guess somewhere non Coaster related, but not 100% sure

Great TR Martin, Xelutulu is one of those parks that is high on my list to visit, it looks amazing well themed, and one day i hope to get there. Looks like you and Cheryl had a great time on the trip. -
Its been great to us, but we have been very lucky in that we have always had great tenants. I have definitely heard some horror stories out there of people trashing houses when they move out, so there is a lot of risk to it.

Were in a weird situation where we both own houses that we bought before we met, but currently live in a rental. This is a great situation for us, as we make money off of the renters, but have a place that we don't have to cover the maintenance on. In the end though, what really helped us is that we don't buy something (with the exception of the houses) that we dont pay cash for. We also keep contingency funds to pay for those "unexpected" expenditures on our houses. All in all though, i think what this all boils down to, is dont live outside your means. If you spend the time to budget your money, you wont have the long term problems.

This is awesome, one of the funniest things I've seen in awhile. I actually went to look at that other site, and I think some of those comments are just as funny. Thank you for making my day -

TPR's Official Australia Trip Update Thread!
technfxrick replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I have to disagree, we didnt do the TPR trip, but we did our own Australia trip 2 years ago, and they have some great coasters, they may not have the quantity of some of the US parks, but we genuinely thought that the 4 parks we went to (Luna Park Sydney, Movie World, DreamWorld, and Sea World) were all really nice, well laid out parks with some nice rides -

Matt was an awesome guy, during the Mid America Trip this year he spent alot of time taking us around the park showing us everything. Hope he is ok -
I see both sides in flash passes, i do buy them, if i want to get through a park quickly for some reason, or if the lines are just hellacious that day, but the majority of times i do not. It can get very annoying when you see a heavy stream of people flooding in in front of you, and theres nothing you can do about it. In the end though, why let it get to you? i go to parks to have fun, and honestly, if im waiting in line its time to talk to the people i came with and have a good time, not to get worked up that someone is paying to cut in front of me.

LOL, he replied to me earlier when i asked how it was

Mitch Hawker 2010 poll
technfxrick replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I put Voyage as #23 of 78. Honestly, i did not think it was that great, maybe it was because this year it was rougher than previous years, maybe it was just because the day we went it was like 120 degrees. I just did not like the ride. -
This is amazingly sad and pathetic, but... Lake Compounce, From their site: Kiddie Coaster - The Wildkitten HEIGHT REQUIREMENT: Minimum 36", No more than 56" without child. Adult may accompany child. SFNE, From their site: The Great Chase Height Restrictions 42" to ride alone, no height min. with adult. I don't quite understand what SFNE is trying to say about theirs, but it looks like you need a kid to accompany you for Lake Compounce's. Lake Compounce will usually allow Adults without Children at Enthusiast Events, Both times i have been there they have kept it open a few minutes after closing for adults before ERT starts.
