What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
The Bebes replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
MR Bebe: Silver Bullet at KBF with my Mom and Uncle on Monday (My three aunt's sat it out) Mrs. Bebe: Giant Dipper at Belmont Park with Mr. Bebe on Sunday -
The last time we went to Cedar Point (2006), we went on a Tuesday in Early June. It was much more crowded than I expected, though I had been there on two occasions in mid-may and experienced walk-ons everywhere excepy MF (10min). You shouldn't have any trouble getting in all of the coasters in 2 days. The rides that had significant lines were: Mantis (this one was the longest at about an hour-1.5hrs), Top Thrill Dragster (1hr), Wicked Twister (30min), Raptor (30min), Millenium Force (30min). Everything else was basically a walk-on or a very short wait (less than 10min). Maverick had just begun construction, so no advice there.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Terminator Salvation: The Ride
The Bebes replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
MR Bebe says: While GhostRider is certainly more rickety than in its' younger years, I can still ride it, and it's a fun, out of control ride. Psyclone, on the other hand, was so much more painful than you can ever imagine, that I NEVER had fun and wished I didn't keep trying it. IT SUCKED! I think I ramked it as the WORST coaster I've ridden (out of 96). Glad it's gone & hope the replacement (T:S) ROCKS! -
Hershey Park and our 100th coaster
The Bebes replied to The Bebes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!!! Big Mike, I (Mr. Bebe) LOVE your idea. I had counted Lightning Racer out of the equation because of the two different sides, but a race for #100 sure would be awesome fun and definately memorable! And that's what life is all about! Creating great and wonderful memories from great and wonderful experiences! Glad you remember Dorney coming up on the 29th. We are getting very excited! We went to Knotts and Belmont Park this weekend and pickup up 3 new credits (Timberline Twister, Pony Express & Giant Dipper). We officially called ourselves "credit whores" after riding Timberline Twister. We've been to Knott's dozens of times and never even knew where it was, avoiding kiddie coasters is (was) our M.O. ALSO, IF Terminator:Salvation opens on time, then our #100 will likely be Phoenix at Knoebel's. -
Tatsu was operating both stations, but only 2 trains after a mid-day malfunction. One of the trains wouldn't return to the upright position, so maybe that train was removed. Goliath was running three trains, and the ops were running to dispatch the trains as quick as possible. I haven't seen lines as long as they were on Saturday for a LONG time, but they moved pretty quick. Goliath was at the 120min mark, but took only 45min to get through. Batman was nearly at it's main entrance, but got us in after about 20min. Scream was overflowing outside of its queue and only took 15 minutes or so.

We went on Saturday also. I'll be posting my own Trip Report later. My guess as to the long lines..... There were about 1000 people who would normally be in line for X2 that were in other lines. Also, Tatsu broke down at least once that I saw and was only running two trains by the time we rode it (right around sunset).

DLR and SFMM... Which to do on Sat or Mon?!
The Bebes replied to RCTfan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
From what I've found, LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT spring break WAS April 4-12. Orange County Was March 28 - April 3. Regardless, Go to SFMM on Monday and you shouldn't need to purchase a Flash Pass. Just make sure to get to X2 right away. X2 and Tatsu are the only rides that generate lines even on slow days (Tatsu 15-20min on a slow day; X2 around an hour on a slow day). -
I (Corey) voted for B&M. They may not have the geatest track layouts, but the pure design is incredible. Compare Vekoma's much maligned SLC with ANY B&M Invert. NOT EVEN in the same league. Compare Vekoma's rickety Flyer with a B&M Flyer. NO CONTEST. And who has ridden a Togo or Intamin Standup? I hear they suck. As far as Hypers go, Intamin may have an edge on B&M (maybe). As far as Intamin and CCI goes, they've had some misfires to go with thier great ones. (SFMM Superman:TR & Flashback, La Ronde's Cobra & Dragon for Intamin, Pipelines; Twisted Twins and Villain come to mind for CCI) MY favorite RIDE & MAKER (and Danielle's write-in vote): Voyage -GRAVITY GROUP honorable mention: Giovanola. Goliath is a masterfully designed ride, only failing in the fact that it maintains its momentum sooo well that it requires a screeching mid-course break run. I can only imagine Titan's revamped layout rocks & I can't wait to someday rde it. With only one other coaster in South Africa, how can anybody really gauge them.
