  1. So you have already reached the grounds of Finland. Welcome! So, tomorrow it will be Power Park for TPR. Is it going to be Saturday in Särkänniemi and Sunday in Linnanmäki? Anyway, I'll be working this whole weekend in Linnanmäki; Friday and Saturday I'm operating a water ride, Hurjakuru, but about Sunday I have no idea. I'll be sure though to say hello if I meet you!
  2. Yeah. Sadly the best park (Power Park) in Finland is out of reach for anyone without a car. If you DO happen to have a car, there's a nice place to spent a night just a few kilometers from the park called Härmän Kuntokeskus link. But anyway, Linnanmäki and Särkänniemi aren't that bad. There is a MS custom spinner and a couple of Intamin glory unique coasters anyway!
  3. Too bad I couldn't join the trip... at least before Finland. I might try to tag along when you're here visiting Linnanmäki and Särkänniemi. I may also be working in Linnanmäki that day. Well, have a nice trip!
  4. I live in Finland (which is in northern Europe) my home park being Linnanmäki only 60 kilometers (round 40 miles) away. I also work as a ride-op there Another nearby park is Särkänniemi, 100 kilometers (round 60 miles) away.
  5. Intamin drop tower and S&S Screamin' Swing... There just aren't enough of them.
  6. Last summer I worked as a kind-of-a ride-op in go-kart tracks. There are height restrictions, and when there are restrictions, there are complaints. To be able to ride the smallest ones, you have to be 3 foot 6 tall. And what do the GP say, when their kid is too small: 1) We measured at home and I swear he's tall enough! 2) My child (usually son) has a hobby of driving go-karts. Why can't he drive here?!? 3) Why do you have to be so darn exact! I will complain about you to your boss! The funniest thing about answer 2, is that the go-karts there are rubbish. If their child has a go-kart of his/her own, then WHY don't you go home to drive it? (Anyway, I liked my job.)
  7. It kinda depends on the ride. When I was riding a Fabbri Booster for the first time, I really did NOT want to have the restraints loose. Then I discovered, that it's a good advice if your scared of a ride to have the restraints tight. A secure feeling comes from tight restraints. But in certain cases I leave the restraints loose on purpose to get some extra fun on a ride that I'm familiar with.
  8. Looks like some serious hangtime on that barrel roll! I must say those cars look nice!
  9. In one month @ Linnanmäki. First coaster will probably be Kirnu (Intamin ZacSpin) or Salama (Söhne spinner).
  10. About the Scandi trip: Because I live in Finland, I applied for the job as a ride-op in Linnanmäki, and got the job! So I'll be working in Linnanmäki this season (although in kiddie rides). If I've bad luck, I'll be working on the day TPR visits Finland. But if I'm lucky, I'm free that day, so if it's possible; I would like to hang around with TPR either in Linnanmäki or Särkänniemi. Is this possible?
  11. Hello all! I'm a finnish coaster fanatic, living in southern Finland and thus my home park is Linnanmäki. This year I got really lucky and got a summer job as a ride-op in Linnanmäki. I'm also in Coasterforce Forums behind the same nick.
