I'll be there opening day..... whether or not I ride STR will depend on temperature & wind, and how dialed up they have the water effects that day. I may just watch and take pics to post here.

I was looking through Youtube and found a video claiming to have the World of Color themesong. I don't know if this is the actual show soundtrack or not but it doesn't sound bad. OH and by the way incase you're wondering this is what the original song sounded like.

I just hope the sound track to Illuminations eventual replacement is as awesome as the original. That music score is one of my favorite instumental pieces.

Can't wait to see an updated video of testing. I bet those things ride smoothe. On a side note got around to watching the Wildebeast video and it looks awesome. I couldn't help but also think that theres a potential some heads will be bumped ad the end of the accelerated uphills. Hopefully enough testing was done to ensure that isn't the case and there will be no delay in opening.

Having not ridden it I take it from some of your comments (those who have rode it) it doesn't pull the G's that you would expect by looking at it? Maybe if they were able to speed it up, and make a faster upswing it would be better?

I just wish they'd turn the darn lights off again in the FoF queue line and play the pre show video with volume up like they used to. When I was a kid my first time riding that, I was enthralled in that video, and I'm sure there's other first timers out there that would enjoy the little "movie". Plus I always get a kick out of all the girls screaming when the "power suge" happens and all the lights go dark.

Well from what I've seen so far, I'm pretty impressed by this show. I am still holding out judgement on the music score for it until I hear the full thing. I'm sure I'll end up buying that soundtrack too lol.

As much as I've disliked Son of Beast, I would rather see it re-tracked and the loop brought back. Continuing the Beast conversation from above, I would love to see them increase banking in turns and eliminate trims. Until they do that, Beast is not in any top ten poll I vote for ever again.

I'd be lying if I said I knew however all i can point to is their past performance. I do think there will be some sort of shakedown in upper management. I believe they all meet in June so I bet something happens. Attendance, specifically group sales, were down in 2009. With the economy starting to rebound, and hopefully better weather this summer, I predict 2010 will be a better year.

Jew, I'm sorry I have to disagree with you. I think long term they are doing just fine. I think they'll do well this year and be in a position to pay down more debt. Stacy Frole said they are working with their creditors. I would however not be surprised to see a park sold in the near future.

Yeah I was a little surprised about the $6.5 Million but that sometimes is part of these deals. Kinzel was supposed to retire but he stayed on to see the Paramount acquisition through. Now that is over but they still have the enormous debt. In my opinion I think Cedar Fair will be just fine in the long term. It's the next few years that will be a little more rough. By the way the streak was 21 years of paying dividends with this year being the first they didn't. Tom
