Bar hopping Put-In-Bay is a lot of fun. That's what I did for my bachelor party. My wife had her bachelorette party on Kelley's Island. The took The Goodtime Cruise (Booze Cruise) over. Either one of those I would recommend to you as a local, they are more fun then just going to a local bar. Once at PIB, there are several bars/night clubs to hop. Kelley's doesn't have nearly as many, but the boat ride over and back is more fun than the Jet Express as there is drinking and a DJ. Hope this helps!

Seems so, but this is not necessarily a bad thing. The Intamins have all been good, in my opinion. I think the new ride will be a good exciting flat ride. Coaster will be after this next addition. This is a rumor and I'm not entirely sure how credible it is, but CP might be done with intamin. They supposedly had a deal with intamin for 5 rides in ten years (Milli, Dragster, Wicked Twister, Maverick and STR) ^ LOL that rumor is AT LEAST 5 or more years old..... I'd treat it as such.

On a side note from all this comedy... That new test seat DOES look awesome. That would be a nice addition to Maverick.

Yeah to me that would've been the better idea rather than wrecking this ride. I refuse to vote trimmed dropped rides high in coaster polls. I feel like I'm being cheated.

- Sigh. This is bull crap! I didn't even get to ride it yet. Now it's wrecked. I hate trimmed first drops. Why didn't you just build it shorter?!

Awesome so it sounds like capacity on busy days won't be affected to much during this transition.

Yep Raptor didn't have any touch screens or seperate controls for maintenance. IT was all on the one panel, however maintenance had a special override key they could stick in where they could operate the ride in "manual mode." And then of course under Raptors station there is the computer control room, a bunch of lockers for ride ops, and a garage area where they store the big water tank on the trailer that they use to pressure wash the midways.

So what?

Maybe it'll be a horror film and show people getting sucked into the game and riding a coaster with "missing sections" or something lol. As said earlier, I would much rather see an RCT 4 with game play and graphics comparable to RCT 2.

Sorry Robb I did a search but couldn't find the thread. Can you give more info on the Middle America trip? This might be something I'd like to attend if able. *Nevermind I found it. Looks like I was too late. I'll have to either hit up some other trip, or wait till next year.

Great trip report. Thanks for taking the time to give explanations of what was said. Your B&M tours brought back memories of working as a ride op on Raptor.

Trips like that make me wish I lived on the West coast.... sometimes . Here's to hoping that after my wedding and everything I have some more discretionary income!

See I don't get that... I rode Millennium Force one night at closing and it was POURING rain and I don't remember it hurting at all.

Chaos has been for sale for a couple years now. They'll continue to operate it until it's sold I would expect.

OH yeah it was clean, we just had a few ants on the floor. Now our friends in the room next door had no issues. If you're looking for a budget motel, I'd recommend it, but if I'm then one planning the trip next time, I'd spring for something a little nicer. On a side note, you can watch Kings Island's fireworks from the Super 8's pool.

^^^ Yep that's exactly what I heard from my friend. I was told they are sending the boats back to be modified. I guess they had sent them back once before, but when they came back, they were still getting torn up by the flumes. That's when he topld me a couple weeks ago he thought the opening would be delayed.

That Super 8 by the park is very eh and we had ants in our room. I always try to stay in Springboro (cause I used to live there). They have a couple nice hotels and it's about 20 minutes North from the park up 741. Unless you're coming from the South, obviously you wouldn't stay there.

I would agree with you. The level of detail of those two attractions far exceeds most other attractions, and with that make the ride experience that much better.
