Before Lake Compounce I would stop at Quassy for a little bit for Wooden Warrior. You will be surprised how good that thing is for such a small coaster.Those two parks aren't that far from each other and Quassy wouldn't require more than an hour.

^ Speaking of Sundays, for anyone who can sneek away on Mother's day, GO!. I have been the past two years and each time in the middle of the day there was less than a 10 minute wait to a walk-on for Volcano. That it self should speak for how empty the park is that day.

I did the drive from Sylmar to San Diego down I-5 on a Sunday morning in 2-2 1/2 hours. It wasn't bad at all.

I am now booked! Flight, hotel + car! And my plane arrives early enough Friday that a trip to Disneyland is in order!

^^ I stayed at the Good Nite Inn in Sylmar in June 2010 for a week and had no problem whatsoever. They do have security in the parking lot at night so your car would be safe. If you don't plan on staying at the hotel that much other than sleep I would recommend the Good Nite Inn. It is right off of I-5 which makes it a quick drive to SFMM (I think about 10 miles).

Yes! I just purchased my ticket for both days! This will be my first west coast bash and third bash overall, I can't wait! Now just to book my flight, hotel and rental car tomorrow.

You can't say anything about how good Alabama or LSU defense is until they actually play a team with a great offense which they haven't. I would love to see how they would match up with Boise or Oklahoma State.

Pompeii is the highlight of the event. On Verbolten, they have almost finished putting up the wall on the side viewable from guests so by next week you will no longer be able to see the track inside the building. Pictures below:

I waited to 5AM and went to Best Buy five hours after opening and got the $30 external hard drive I wanted without having to deal with the crowds. They were no one in the store at that time as everyone had already did there shopping at midnight.

I have to return to work tomorrow after a week vacation.

Speaking of Darkastle a few of us was there on Saturday and noticed it wasn't spinning as much during one part as much as it used to. Does anyone know if they switched up the ride program?
