I worked in the food service at Kings Dominion from 2002-2003 and then at Rebel Yell during haunt 2010.

^ It has been said in this thread recently that Busch Gardens does not normally soft open rides and that these rumors pop up every time.

The last three seasons the third train will not show up until May and then used mainly on Saturday's only.

For the past couple of years the last two rows on Volcano are roped off until around May or so when it is warmer in the mornings/evenings. Well, that is what I have noticed.

^ There is also one in Norfolk, but if you can find a cheap rate to Richmond (RIC) that would be best since it is around a 35 minute drive to KD and a 50 minute drive to Busch Gardens.

Even with three trains they stopped interlocking them years ago, I believe for maintenance reasons. And yes, they run three trains many times during the summer on Saturdays mainly.

Due to two TPR trips this year taking up my vacation time, a Saturday is my only option to go to Hershey this year so the "Fast Track" is the perfect option for someone in my position. I am all for it.

There is one really great change to the season passes that started this year. You can now pay it in 3 payments over 3 months instead of dishing out the complete price once. This works out great for the platinum pass.

Was at Busch Gardens Passholder Preview day and I would definitely bet money I will end up at Kings Dominion for a few hours this weekend.

And to back that up they did put a sign in front of the ride saying it will open in May.

At the park right now, they are telling people that opening is may 18, they said it was announced this morning. This coming from someone in a higher up position (not sure how high up) and not just the regular employee. Tale that for what its worth.
