Wow ! Looks like a huge theme park will be build in Turkey. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Turkey-Megapark/225058470865180?sk=wall And it looks as if construction/groundworks have already begun ! In the End of 2012 Phase one will be finished, and the Waterpark and Aquarium will be opened. After that a huge Theme Park will follow...to open in 2013/2014 as far as I know. And the banners look REALLY promising (Edit : According the german forum "freizeitparkweb" Six Flags will be responsible for the Theme Park Part of the project...but this wasn`t confirmed via facebook AFAIK.)

I`m totally with you here, Elissa. Even more that that ! My impression is that here on TPR the European coasters get loads (!) of attention...if they are worth it ! But I can totally see why people fron Spain or nearby are dissapointed about the lack of interst...but hey...if something special is build here in Europa, a hole lot of attention is safe...(and Europa Park is good example fot that I guess)

Yes...but it has to be rebuild completely...and I guess it`s VERY realistic to say that this will be an evolution...they will improve the ride for shure.

Come on, guys...just wait and see Phantasialand is very good at making well known things special...they just needed to renew their flume ride,yes...but if there will be some special features...maybe a MAJOR improvement in size, elements, theming...whatever...it could make a whole lot of sense to start this campain. Let`s wait with complaining until we see what exactly will be build ! Stop bashing Phantasialand

Yepp, that doesn`t sound logic...but what you need to know is that the german TÜV (MOT) didn`t allow the park to open the flumes again in the 2012 season out of safety reasons...they were too old so the park HAD to renew them

EVERYBODY all over the world is obviously waiting for a new aquatrax... ...but Phantasialand HATES to be predictable...so no Chance at all for that

Phantasialand already confirmed via Facebook, that it will be some kind of Flume Ride ! (Somebody guessed "Flume Ride"...and PL answered "Yes...but what is the word we`re looking for ?) As for the name...I`m gonna go for Evolution or Revolution !

You guys still have Colossos... Hahahaha... That was a good one Alex...I´m the last one who will be bashing or complaining about Colossos...I´m still happy to have one of those HUGE Intamin woodies close. But hey...I´m living about a one and a half hour drive away from Holiday Park...that means GeForce on a one day trip...who needs Colossos then I was just hoping for an airtime machine next door...but STILL I feel blessed for being here in Germany. Although I love ejector air I would ALWAYS prefer to live in an area where I have those heavily themed parks close like Europa, Phantasia, Efteling etc. And besides : Compared to the lifthill, the layout of Wodan is kind of flat...so maybe...although I`m shure the ride will feel quite short...it will STILL kick "####" George "I´m probably having my afternoon tea on wodan...Germanys wooden B&M...as everything will stay in the cup" T.

Well...I´ll try to be thankful for what my homepark is getting...and I think that I will have loads of fun on Wodan...for shure. But I just need to take a look a the sensational TPR/Balder Video...and my heart is bleeding a littlebit, cause I so totally LOVE the Intamin ejector air What I really find to be interesting is that you say that GCI is the B&M of wooden coasters. Come on, Robb...are the really that bad ?

I think it really opened my eyes to follow the thread about the wood coaster poll. I was wrong thinking that GCI`s would typically be great at delivering intense air...i really thought it was normal for them. So..."Wodan" will probably be a more of typical GCI than I thought...loads of fun...but kind of "tame". If I am allowed to ask...just out of curiousity and impatience : Do you...(and I´m especially inrerested in the opinions of very experinced people like Robb, Elissa, Larry & Co...) expect "Wodan" to be a top notch coaster ? Probably a top ten ride ? Or will it rather be plain fun with just a littlebit of thrill ? What do you guys expect of it ???

Wow...that`s really interesting ! If you take a look from 2:25 on...it`s undeniable that Balder is FULL on ejector air !!! I think that really is enough proof

Just returned from Europas Hotel Resort...and brought these two "overviews" !

Jepp...I rode Xenox a few month ago here in Freiburg...but as far as I know it`s usually travelling in Switzerland. And the "neck-breaking" inversion wasn`t bad at all. The ride was fun...but VERY short. That`s why the train always made two rounds over the track. I guess I can say that it rides way better than it looks

Talking about the station... (Souce: EP Fans) That thing is massive ! I like how "unperfect" this railing looks "The guards of Woooodan"...time to set them free

Here we're back again (that`s me...GeorgeT (gero) and Orici (Rainer), this time with photos of Europa Park in its winter dress. The only problem is: There was no winter at all here in Germany ! While it the park had a descent atmosphere in the evening with all the lights on ... we have to admit that during the daytime there really was a lack of christmas and winter feeling in the park. We still hope you'll enjoy some of those pictures ... Because island has no working attractions during winter time, Europa filled the gap with a snow tubing especially for the kids ! Russia was decorated with this circus-like non-eatable monster WTF cake thingy ! About 25,000 winter-styled trees were spread all over the park ! We think that taking photos from the monorail is the best way to get good night shots in the park. In this picture you see more than the half of all the people visiting the park that day Nooooooooo .... but it really wasn't crowded at all ... ... there're the other ten ... nice picture ... no comments ... Like the snow tubes the ice rink is one of the elements that really enhanced the winter feeling in the park. All you have to do is to ignore the horribly annoying dance music that was played in the area all day ... You are lucky to be able to look at this picture without any sound Rumor has it that Roland Mack controlls the kids visiting the park with some kind of "souvenir" and makes them abuse innocent penguins. DAMN It's fireplace ... the ride ! Here you see that sitting in the front row always makes happy faces (not photohopped at all). Here Gero is doing all the german fans justice, who are totally unhappy with Luc Besson theming Europa's 2013 indoor kiddy coaster. Europa Park created a movie with the parks own mascots that is well done with lots of action ... really fun ! It was also the first time that we spotted special food für diabetics in the park ... this time it was an apple pie ... hey ... Europa has a heart for diabetics ! So now it's time to show you some impressions of what is pobably the most important winter special in the park. It's a huge tent with play areas for the kids, different foods and a stage with various winter acts. The atmosphere inside the tent was REALLY great ! But what the F### has this thing to do with christmas ? It's vagina ... the ride ! This could easily be an advert for someone selling christmas trees It's the awsome raclette that Europa Park is famous for ! It's really hard to take any bad pictures of the parks swiss area. Now thats what we call a huge advent wreath ! Italy ! It's I-T-A-L-Y. Yeah ! This is one of the many examples how the atmosphere raises whren it gets darker inside the park ... The entrance to the enchanted forest ... Random enchanted forest theming ... There's the ice rink again ... at night ! This is what the hotel resort lookes like from the ferris wheel ... This is what the park looks like after having way too much of Europa's delicious punch ! Random entrance decoraion photos ... So lets close this report with a few pictures of the hotel resort ... To be honest ... this report didn't have the quality of our summer-report which has a lot to do with the lack of snow ... the christmas decoration wasn't able to compensate for that. We still hope you enjoyed some of our pictures and we're really looking forward to seeing you here in Germany ! Yours Gero and Rainer !

New pictures appeared who show two details that I`m VERRRRY happy about Something unexpected (at least unexpected for me) happened here : On top of the first airtime hill the ride will be "twisteeee"...yesss See ? It topples to the left on top of that hill...and this could be quite intense regarding the fact that this hill has a total height of 15 meters...while the drop before will have a height og about 35 meters...so the train will "fly" over that hill at some speed !!! There`s the other "surprise . STRONG (!) banking before diving into the second tunnel. From the model it looked quite like straight strack there...but I guess the layout will be more "complex" that the model showed !

Well..my only comment when looking at those supports is, that the coaster won`t get any better by putting them together. Seeing them there resting in the dirt looks soooo harmonious

Nope...Sorry Ginzo...ISpeed doesn`t count as it was build too late But maybe we can change this thread ito something like : "Which Intamin Launcher dominated the mid ages"...something like that
