Yesterday there was a special event at Europa Park with a Wodan soft-opening ! Finally there was a chance to get some photos from inside the park...the Source of all pictures is EP Board.de. Well, this is not bad to give you an idea how elaborated Wodan`s theming really is...but a lot is the theming is still hidden inside the station building, most of it underground AFAIK....as a part of the rest of the queue, which was still closed yesterday. Enjoy !

This still looks as if it will have an absolutely incredible first drop and overbank...but then the rest looks mediocre IMHO.

I thought it would be time for a little Wodan update ! Just two more weeks and Wodan will be open to the public...and maybe the first review will be posted here already on March 30. because there will be two hours of fan ERT then...and ten on March 31. the Park starts it new summer season ! On to the photos...the source is Chris-space.net ! How nice to see that the entrance of the flythrough is getting a little roof...making it more tunnel-like ! There`s a lot of new greenery all around wodan... Hey...it`s covered (Protecting Wodan riders from Atlanticas little splashes !) And again greenery to make it look more natural...but not finished yet. And...we`re still waiting for the wolves to appear...come on...start spittig fire NOW ! The wooden queueline it taking shape... ...soooo much wood And...finally...a little Shop...probably for drinks and icecream ! That`s it for now...all pics at chris-space.net !

I`m shure the first drop and the first turn will be an incredible experience...no doubt about that...but I´m absolutely NOT shure about the rest.

The woman who wrote that in a german forum (EP Fans) was able to ride (!) Wodan, because her boyfriend worked on Wodan. She said they measured 115 km/h...but if it`s really impossible, even with a heigh difference of around 40, maybe 42 meters...than I will definitively stop spreading stuff like this. Sorry, The source really seemed reliable to me...! Makes me a littlebit worry that there are so many people in the internet claiming things but not really knowing what they are talking about

Amaaaaaaaazing news ! Wodan currently reaches a maximum speed of 115 km/h Because of the cold weather here...it`s expected to go even faster when the temperatures are rising. Wodan will NOT (!) be trimmed ! (Souce : User "Dietlind" on EP Board...who`s boyfriend is a Wodan Co-Worker...it`s reliable !) Greeds...GeorgeT

I would LOVE to know who`s idea that was...cause I really do think it`s a little crazy and will probably FEEL crazy. I was there when Wodan was testing for the first time...and the most spectacular impression was how fast it`s going through the station. I always thought the station building would be open to the sides...but when I first saw the quite little entrance hole...I just went Still not shure if it will be that crazy intense as I expect it to be

Although I have to say that I like the video VERY much...I`m missing those airtime moments (camelbacks) in that onride...also the view down the first drop and into the first trench !!!

Nope...that`s correct ! Hmmm...well hopefully the ride will stay that fast (EDIT : Robb/Elissa...as you seem to know everything in advance : Will GCI have to slow the ride down...what do you guess ? Cause if it will stay that fast...or if it will be even faster during the summertime...I guess this will be far more intense than the other coasters at Europa...)

Here`s another angle (from the parking lot) : (better video now on page 108 !) These were the first rides...and it was COLD...! If I imagine this going even faster...which is quite realistic...

So...just came home from seeing Wodans first test runs in person. There will be a few videos in about two...maybe three hours...a few german coasterfans are putting their video shots together. Hmmm...I wouldn`t say you NEED (!) so many days...it`s just that you won`t run out of things to to for three days...but if you concentrate on what you like the most, then it can totally make sense to go there for "just" one day...of course

Hi Schotcher ! Europa is a two...maybe even a three day park ! During the summer and holiday time the park will be packed...but Europa is famous for very fast operations Need more advice ?

Oh yesss...they will. They were carved several month ago...and I think that the top of the lifthill is the perfect place for them
