Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread

I am looking forward to this makeover, I loved the movie and this is a great move for the World Showcase, I'm just hoping that not all of the "Norway" theme is removed, for example they could use the theater in the pavilion to show how real locations were used to inspire the movie. When this expansion is a success maybe we'll get that purposed bullet train attraction for the Japan Pavilion... -

This is looking really good, You have a smartly designed layout and a well balanced use of custom scenery. The only thing I notice is where your entrances and exits meet up with the main midways, delete the path boarder that separates the two paths, for example see the below picture. The red circles. -

^ Don't forget about the scene where an angry boss screams in your face for 5 minuets because everything that you were not in charge of is now entirely your fault... and the resulting pay cut! -

A Hyper coaster is defined as: Any coaster with a drop or height over 200 feet. So Roar would still be a hyper coaster since its lift is still over 200 feet, just saying... -

Wow! This is great stuff so far, and you have fences around your coasters!!! It bugs me so much when I see parks without lockout zones around their coasters, thank you! The only other thing I can say is to fill out the rest of the map with landscape and trees but I assume you will get to that. Fantastic work sir. -

My understanding was that a majority of the track was too rusty and could not be replace. I know Six Flags had an track from another shuttle loop coaster in storage, but that track was stored outside and was probably in worse shape than GL. -

The two lifts act as block sections. Usually there is a train on each lift at the same time, if the lift that you are on is running very slowly its probably because the computer is putting space between you and the train ahead of you. Its the same on Flight Deck when you reach the top of the lift the lift slows for a second then speeds back up, its just waiting for the next block section to clear. I hope this helps. -

^ Dude I can be the first one to tell you that regular park employees at any park like Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks have no knowledge of future park plans or expansions. In fact employees usually find out major announcements after the GP find out. It has been reasoned that the Twisted Twins area of the park was closed off due to Six Flags finical difficulties, and the solution was to not operate and staff 2 major rides. The employee who you talked to was most likely saying the generic statement that the higher ups told the workers, "it's closed for future additions." -

So I guess Tomb Raider: The Ride didn't cost that much or wasn't spectacular when it decided to work... -

^ It would be kinda hard to as the trains were modified heavily for operation on S.O.B. Also a lot of S.O.B is scattered throughout the park, for example a couple of the breaks on Adventure Express are from S.O.B. I'm sure that most of the parts can be used for the other wooden coasters in the park.
