  1. I don't want to help the cops. And I'll need a new pair of pants Awesome teaser!
  2. This may just be your best work yet. Not even kidding. Can't wait for more updates, not to mention the PoV!
  3. I love the lighting at night. Absolutely phenomenal job, although I still think the Cobra Roll exit could've been done better. 9/10 in my opinion!
  4. I'm just not good enough yet to really be able to sustain my own RCT3 thread (threads). There are quite a few folks here that play it, but its hard to find someone who is truly skilled. Check out CD5s Charleston Gardens (Six Flags South Carolina) thread, he's awesome. Wilhelm's coasters are absolutely phenomenal, and a few other folks I can't think of off the top of my head are really good at it. The rest of us just kinda watch and encourage/compliment them. It'll get bigger over time, but keep up the CTRs! They're awesome.
  5. I like the Drachen Fire esque drop! The entry (or exit, not sure which) into the cobra roll looks like its gonna be pretty rough though, even by RCT3 standards. Still though, love the detail!
  6. I like the screens. Its funny you released this, I'm currently working on a park based in Egypt on RCT3. Very interested in seeing what you do. What CS packs are you using, if you don't mind me asking. I'd like to steal them for scenery
  7. I would suggest a Eurofighter style, those tend to fit well in smaller parks and can have a fairly good capacity in larger parks.
  8. Magnum and Gemini have the highest PPH for coasters in the park. Hence why they rarely have a line. If the crews are doing it right you shouldn't see a line for either past about 10 minutes. Any more than that and the park is probably ridiculously busy. Raptor also has one of the highest PPH if I remember correctly.
  9. For personal viewing pleasure can we cut down on the blurry pictures please? Photoshop is fun, but we'd like to actually see what you're building!
  10. It should be noted that almost all of Magnum is built on sand by the beach. It runs just fine folks. I doubt sand will be a problem for any major coaster.
  11. I miss the pirate ride, not to mention how the midway was before Dragster was introduced. So many trees...
  12. ^ You really don't get it do you? Sigh. This is pointless.
  13. ^Not to mention the cost of moving Wicked Twister would be a little more than expensive.
  14. If you go back to Human Resources, as soon as you walk in the door there is a flyer that states: WANTED: Ride Mechanics REWARD: $1000. Then goes on to list terms and conditions about if you know a mechanic and send them the reference you'll get a bonus for them getting an interview and another at the completion of a season by both you and the mechanic. If they can't find mechanics how are they supposed to keep anything working in the first place? If you can't find people to do the job you can't increase your staff. Its a vicious cycle.
  15. You sir, are awesome. Parks don't remove rides because they hate them. They're removed generally for one of the following reasons: A) Maintenance costs outweigh the benefits the ride brings in. B) The ride is unsafe for operation C) The ride has been known to harm people and has a bad public image D) The ride has low ridership, which can be attributed to either A, B, or C. E) Expansion or new installation Its logical. SFA Regular, you seem to be going off on this rant about how SFI hates SFA. They don't hate the park, but they are trying to run a good business as jynx pointed out. Stop being a fanboy for 2.5 seconds and stop and think about what corporate and the GP sees.
  16. Why should they invest in a park that has two huge rivals in the south when they can easily spend their money in markets where it will be better received? There is also the huge problem of public opinion of the park. If you ask any of my friends what park they'd want to visit, most of them would drive up to Hershey before even thinking about SFA. It has a terrible reputation in NOVA, don't know about Maryland. They have to get over their reputation first, and quite frankly the employees I've encountered aren't helping. The last time I went to the park was in mid-June. I had a few hours to kill after training there so I went ahead and hopped in the park to get a feel for operations and what it was going to be like. Myself and my friends walked over to Mind Eraser because it was fairly close to the entrance. There was no wait, two train operation. First off the employees were slow. Slow to the point where the other train had been sitting in the sun under the brake run for about 5 minutes before they sent the next train. We had to wait two cycles to get on - which took approximately 15-20 minutes. With no line. With two trains. Next, they were rude. My friend Autumn asked one of the ride ops where she should put her stuff, a fairly simple question (one that should be easily and politely answered considering we just finished training). One of the ops looked at her and asked her if she was retarded, then pointed to the cubbys. After riding the ride, we got to sit on the brake run for somewhere around 5-6 minutes, then finally got off. Approximate total time for riding a "walk on" - 30 minutes. This is unacceptable. We made our way up to Gotham city to ride Superman which was also a walk on, and was running one train. The ride ops here were somewhat better, and were fairly quick about getting people on and off the ride. It was fairly remarkable how much of a difference there was between locations in the park. But of course, nothing could be perfect and the attendants were once again rude when it came to answering any questions - such as when we were getting off the ride someone had asked where the nearest bathroom was. The op responded with "How should I know? I just run the rides." Not even offering to help find someone who would be able to direct them. At this point I decided to take my leave, from both the park and the company. I went back to HR, told my supervisor about what I'd seen. They took names and locations, but I doubt anything was done other than a slap on the wrist. I told them I would not be working for a company who treats guests so rudely and I left. Was this the nicest thing to do? Probably not. But after working my ass off last summer and being as polite to guests as possible then coming here and seeing this? They have a lot more work to do before they can be considered even remotely close to the level that even KD, let alone BGE provide.
  17. ^ Lol Mantis is really booking it in that video. I don't think I was tall enough to ride until after they installed the trims, that would've been an awesome ride from the looks of it. As it stands (pun not intended) I think Mantis is a pretty underrated coaster at the Point. Nice Gs, good pacing and layout.
  18. Tomorrow is the 4th of July. Guess what? Fireworks! You'll also notice that the employee parking lot is blocked off for the time being. This is normal for this time of year.
  19. The only thing I could think of is that maybe it tracks where the boats are on the course for the computer. They load two boats simultaneously, so the computer probably needs to know in advance where they are on the course. This could also affect lift hill speeds, etc. to help keep the ride moving at maximum capacity. The tracks only seem to show up before key parts of the ride (before the lifts, station).
  20. I think I'm in love with the music. That is really, really well done! I really want to make it over there and check out this park, not to mention the coaster itself. The dragon looks phenomenal!
  21. I love Ocean City, I almost spent my last week there with a bunch of friends. Family issues though, alas. Its a fun place to visit, especially if you enjoy beaches and people. Also, the nightlife isn't too shabby
