^ ha that reminds me so much of a 10 year stint I did in central London (excepting using public transport is not a problem forget the car though) Looking back on London it was great fun but it had a sell by date, I think if you haven't lived there it is worth a shot, but once you have done it (the parties, the fun, the ....insert whatever you want as it is all available) then you just get the hell out. I don't regret my time in the metropolis but I would not go back now. Still, I'm glad I did it. Can't say that compares exactly with SoCal but I sense the vibe. Oh the weather wasn't so hot in London - but that didn't seem to matter so much with all the other stuff going on

OMG - is this a first? advertising in cinemas I mean. How much did that cost? - I am totally screw*d with the crowds on the 14th then. Chav City Chipmunk Mommas slicing their offspring though the blades......this has got to be good. -

^^so the 'head chopper' blades were not doing much...I'm sure they will be spinning like a chipmunks mother-in-law on the day though. Not too much of a spoiler as we all await the queue theming bit which hopefully will set this apart from the pack. -

Truly depressing and yet....hey I got that credit (thankfully) Never seen crowds like I did at that park and I guess it looks like those crowds will keep coming, regardless and for no particular reason that I can determine. Perhaps when the takings fall they may rethink (and this is a good year for a rethink for sure) Who knows? -
wasn't Mammut themed more like we all hope Saw the Ride will be? (blades and stuff)

^ kisses and hugs baby....though I guess it is only a matter of time, but hey, some other thread Martini style, good call Lou
-
^ and ^^ - not trying to get out of this by any means (though I can't even find my copy and haven't seen it since the bus) but maybe it is more of a 'you had to be there' moment, like I wish I wasn't and most people just won't get it hence not funny. There is no point in being a member of TPR if you cannot put yourself up to be laughed at and ridiculed by everyone, as you may know Chris Lou - post the vid. I will take comfort knowing that I am loved, laughed with and laughed at in staggeringly disproportionate measures. I recall you may come out of this with 'some grace'....I hope I am wrong of course (loving you and laughing with... )

I am not Steve, but, HELL NO!! Dumbest on-ride video ever!!! JJ Fixed! What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas so yah boo sucks this is not in Vegas then. There is actually very limited swearing (no time to swear in a near death experience I discovered- though I do recall saying 'Please God let this end' and I am no longer sure whether I meant the ride or my life). Lou - the call is yours, I think it is really funny, except the bit with me in it.
-
Blimey - you have to give credit to Bandit. For those alive it nearly kills you, and for those near death, it brings you back to life- talented piece of wood there. Impressed you took any photos at all on the day, and at least you have something to look forward to should you return - like the entire park?

^The chicken is always expensive - it is the Range you cook it on that is free - usually hidden behind the check out though, you have to ask for it. Why don't we call sunglasses anti-sunglasses? -
Typical Mars and Venus situation Louise. ' Do not' translates as 'dare you to'...it is true, look what happened
-
well excuse me for panicking - but hey.....I have form when it comes to the TPR bus, and it wasn't one I wanted to repeat. Trust me, Incredible Hulk style those metal gates were about to be de-hinged. It was in fairness a massive PANIC ATTACK, I was sweating it big time. Oh well, great memories (now I can look back and laugh of course).

^^I can confirm to you that RCCGB does have ERT on the 21st March (they call it ERS by the way but it is the same thing). You would have to be a member of the club (renewal fees just out at £27 pa) to join in, or link up to someone else who is already a member to 'tag on' to the invite. (price for the event £23 or £5 if you already hold a season pass). ERT/ERS is at the end of the park day (from 5:30 p.m.) Hope that helps you out. I'm going to brave the line and aim for the 14th and burn in hell if it all goes wrong. -

^it would be unusual for RCCGB to not have ERT on a co-ordinated meet but it is probably best you ask them directly. I know they did the Stealth ERT but there has been a change of Thorpe park management since and it would depend on the clubs current relationship with the 'New Dudes'. Check their website and chat board. It is not TPR (chat wise or site wise) by any means (though that is not a diss- they are a fun crowd, and I know this as I am a member) but you should be able to PM the club directly and ask. -
Brad - even though what happened was the funniest thing ever, I wish it had not happened to you (though I do wish Lou had seen it also - and in fact we had captured the whole moment on video). Karma is now on your side, and something BAD ASS will happen to one of us witnesses to make it all good. Hope it's not me though.

^^^^press day is the 13th (park closed to GP). I would imagine the place will be hammered on the 14th, at least the line for SAW will be, and probably the 21st also. Depends on how desperate you are to ride. If it is a big expense etc to get there, and given it is a new ride and prone to technical issues running full cycle in the early days, I would wait until the weather was better and make a good day out of it instead. Your call. -
^It is ALL GOOD when you are 14 - Once you clock on a bit in years, and the 'bad back' and stuff sets in, then worry about it, but I'm sure you will have no problems so have a great time and enjoy it all.

ah those hideous 12 year olds at ®Evolution. You know, you and Miles could have been done for threatening a minor, but hell, better that then in the UK where you could have been done for assaulting a parent! Was it the same nerds we beat on at the rapids or were we just out to kill anyone under 5 ft tall? Great park - mega log flume, weird locals! (unless they are TPR folks of course) PS - I think we should see more of Lou's Benny hat! PPS - TP Dave got the better out of that deal for sure

Your 'retro' TR is so good as I get to remember forgotten moments - like the unbelievably lame Dolphin show. Had we worked out it was the last show of the day and they had already had so much fish thrown at them they were just 'yeh - whatever, bring on the Beluga or we ain't doin' nothun!'? The Dolphin show went in reverse order, starting with the grand finale and then not much else. Hurrah for ice-cream balls ^Death Machine was not so bad - worse was to come!

^ Joe - I know nothing of this Wild Train in Salzburg but if Parc St Paul is anything to go by then absolutely 100% it is a MUST DO!
