  1. ^^If you get the Carowinds job, which I really hope you do, I think I've got the perfect avatar for you. TIMMY!!!
  2. ^I read somewhere that they're purposely opening it in June so that the majority of annual pass holders are blocked out and wont get to clog up the area/see it.
  3. Was the Terminator ride op who asked trivia there? It was so cool on Sunday because he kept asking questions about SFMM's coasters and Six Flags in general.
  4. I never saw the address on the plans, but if this is true, then it 100% is Intamin as they're based out of Wollerau.
  5. ^I always look for elevators going up and down the tower myself. That'd probably be your best way of going about it without actually walking up to it.
  6. I figured out how to win it! (Thank God for trial and error) But I'm not allowed to enter because I'm a minor? They need to be more clear with their rules, it states: And then right after it says So I'm not sure if it's open to minors or not...
  7. ^Ah true, I forgot about those. I still like this campaign better
  8. The website no longer displays I305's stats However, it is pretty damn elaborate for a Six Flags storyline. I really wanna see them implement this kind of story line into other future rides (as long as the attraction itself continues the story).
  9. ^^^Thanks! ^^Yes, I..er we did! ^That was a legit evac on Goliath (it got stuck at the top too!). The train itself was probably stuck up there for an hour, I'm not sure about the people though. It was back up and running about an hour after I took that picture, so it was nothing too serious.
  10. X2 at night in a light drizzle on Sunday, April 11.
  11. So where shalt I begin? Ah, about a month ago, the greatest coaster nerd in the world (myself that is) and Creditcrazy decided to have an SFMM get together since he needs his pass processed. We settled on Sunday because frankly, who's going to spend their last day of spring break at an amusement park? Well we were wrong, Jesus decided to show up (see below). But other than that, the crowds were pretty minimal for the most part, and it was a fantastic day. And yes, there WILL be Surfer Girls and hidden mickeys to boot! So you must read on. I believe our ride count was: X2-3 Termy (errr to make myself not sound like a fanboy: [although I am one] Terminator Salvation: the Ride)-3 Scream!-1 Viper-1 Riddler's Revenge-1 Batman the Ride- 2 (Once in the front, and of course, once in the rear) Goliath- 2 Deja Vu- 0 Deja Vu- 0 Deja Vu- 0 Deja Vu- 0 Deja Vu- 0 Deja Vu- 0 Deja Vu- 0 (see what I did there?) Jet Stream- 1 Goldrusher- 1 Sky Tower Museum: The Experience: The Unusually Phallic Object: The Ride- 1 Orient Express- 1 Also note that Davy (Creditcrazy) also wants some lameness in this PTR so that you know he contributed. So remember, any failed jokes or utterly stupid comments were entirely his ideas. "Welcome to SFMM, now with 50% more Jesus!" (By the way, this was my reference to "Jesus was in attendance." So if that's all you wanted to see, you can leave now) Being nerds, we immediately ran for X2. (Photo credit: Davy) 2 things: 1) Some foreshadowing for all of you who are looking forward to seeing the Surfer Girls 2) Has anyone ever noticed this pond before?! Here's some construction BS. But before we could take more pictures of Mr. Six's Electric-Slide Coaster, we needed a Termy fix. This is literally right next to the truck with a hidden Mickey on it. Real crafty SFMM...real crafty. (Photo credit: Davy) Who can name what three words WEREN'T said here due to faulty audio? (Photo credit: Davy) "All the ladies they want, a taste of my dirt lumps, my dirt lumps yeah." Mr. Six's Jerking Coaster: Now with more bulldozer. This track is for one of the following (The answer will shock you): 1) A 500 foot Intamin going to SFMM 2) Disneyland's 4D coaster 3) AQUATRAX!1!1111!!!!!! 4) Mr. Six's Sockhop Coaster Probably the worst site known to man: Two Vekomas in one picture. Those would be supports lying on the ground there...yeah...exciting! Right? It's always great when a coaster enthusiast can say "I didn't ride you" to something, since we hear those same words from so many women. (Photo credit: Davy) It's always great when a coaster enthusiast can say "I didn't ride you" to something since we hear those same words from so many women. (By the way, did that comment give you deja vu?!!!) (Photo credit: Davy) Resist making a German porn joke. Resist making a German porn joke. Resist making a German porn joke. AHHHH Ever wonder where Canadian Bacon comes from? ...It comes from pigs. Not these. All right. You've waited long enough, so here you go: Surfer Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well worth the wait, right? (Photo credit: Davy) Riddler's Revenge Rattles Rambunctiously. Riddler's has lots of air...for a Californian ride. (Photo credit: Davy) This would make a fantastic avatar. The rare Riddler's two train shot. Proof that they had a kick@$$ crew! Who knows what this used to be? Bacon theming inside a bathroom? YES! All I ever want to think about in bathrooms s meat anyway... A walk creepy as all hell? I think so. One with a keen eye may spot the Batman train. But one with a 16-year-old eye may spot the guy playing with his...er..."blade." My old avatar became dated. Hence why I'm sporting the new look. The best use of 25 cents since Cinnamon... Viper time! And that guy in the front row is cool. (Photo credit: Davy) While not being very smooth on Sunday, it did provide excellent photo ops. "THROUGH THE TREES" has gotten boring. So top this b*tches: Arrow: THROUGH THE ARROW! Time for the Sky Tower, which now houses Terminator Salvation: the Failed Prop. Don't mind the creepy kid who's totally not me, but can anyone tell me what ride this was from? (Photo credit: Davy) Until there's a corner with Intamins, churros, and Intamin churros, this corner will NOT be beat. If only my camera worked properly... I didn't ride you! HA! More Tatness. (What I did there was combine "Tatsu" and "Hotness." I'm a BAMF) (Photo credit: Davy) Scream still sucks. *cues 500 page debate over how we're spoiled and it'd be good at another park and yada yada yada BS* Normally I'd find it rude to hate something that was dropped during childbirth, but Scream is just that lame. (Photo credit: Davy) Proof that Davy and I are in fact NO cooler than you. "I saw zero Jesus!" Goliath was fun as usual. Another example of a really good crew too! Time to take a spin on Batman. Where slime=theme! (Photo credit: Davy) History fact: Batman was made back when B&M still had cojones! The blue definitely makes Batman go faster. (Photo credit: Davy) Oh. My. God! Somebody get that hat! Back to Termy! It's such a great ride to be a fanboy of...well...not as great as Prowler... Looks like SFMM might be needing some black paint. X2 is fantastically unique. Sometimes it treats you nicely, and other times, it treats you like Rihanna. (Too soon?) Viper does its thang nicely. So nicely I thank I'm gonna buy it a drank. As long as it doesn't have a nasty stank. Pretzel loop AND cloudy weather? That's intense. (Photo credit: Davy) Intense weather for coaster photos>Intense love making (Cause I've totally experienced that...) Batman again! This zero g roll is now 10x more intense with the weather and blueness. Goliath is for sure intense. BTW, this weather actually IS intense for 2 So Cal kids. (Photo credit: Davy) And finally, the most INTENSE picture of them all. After a quick ride on X2, we concluded our day. And thus concludes this crappy photo TR. And remember, if you didn't laugh or enjoy this, blame Davy! Thanks for reading, Alex -Atem122 Davy -Creditcrazy ADMIN EDIT: I went ahead and added "Photo TR:" to the front of the thread title. In the future, please remember to add this notation to the front of your photo reports' thread titles. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
  12. While it could be LIMs, Intamin's more recent non-hydraulic launch coasters have mainly been done with LSMs. LSMs seem to be a hot ticket right now from a lot of manufacturers, so if this is a legit layout pic, then I'd be surprised if they used something other than LSMs to launch it. (Not to say that it can't happen though)
  13. Woah, those are so cool and funky looking! They kind of look like the old Schwarzkopf trains ala Whizzer. It will be kinda weird not seeing the iconic white and orange trains when I go there next though. Any word on if the restraints...er seat belts are changed?
  14. Like I said before, I've ridden Scream a billion times and I rode Bizarro last year at SFGAdv and seriously, Bizarro was a heck of a lot better. Yeah sure it would be a more appreciated ride in a 'lesser park' but that wouldn't make it a better ride... IMO Scream is just one of those rides that isn't very good, theming or no theming. If I remember correctly, trains 2 and 3 were running, and I believe I rode both of them.
  15. I rode X2 three times on Sunday (twice in the front, once in row two) on the outside seat each time and didn't really have a problem with it's roughness. It got kinda rattly and painful going up the first raven turn, but after that it was really smooth sailing. I don't think I've ever had a smoother ride through the last raven turn than on my three rides. X2 is just a temperamental ride, some days it'll treat you nicely, and other days it'll beat you up. You shouldn't really have to worry about hitting your head that hard again. Yes, it certainly can (and may) happen, but it usually doesn't.
  16. Purely hypothesis here, but does anyone think it might have to do with the audio sensors on the track? Perhaps one is malfunctioning or something so they shut all of the audio down? Because it just seems too weird to have 2 trains with their audio down without a constant...
  17. ^As I said, it'd please the GP more since they'd have nothing to compare it with. But for an even mildly seasoned enthusiast like you or myself, it'd still rank the same whether it was at SFMM or *insert small park here*; hence my poop related metaphor.
  18. It may be more appreciated by the GP, but most likely not by coaster enthusiasts. Poop is still poop whether its in your toilet, or on the Queen of England's throne. Edit: Oh yeah, still no audio on either of Terminator's trains.
  19. Oh wow! That's pretty awesome! Does anyone know why it didn't happen? Because there isn't anything to shoot at Otherwise, we would have had the first dark-shooter-coaster ever. The things were actually too heavy to mount to the front of the trains. So basically, they had a 2 of those robots just lying around in the storage shed for a while. I'm glad they at least have some use now haha (...and Scream! was still lame yesterday, albeit a little better than I remembered )
  20. Nothing too good really. But bulldozers are on site now...woohoo? The site is still a wreck...and it's supposed to open in a little over a month?! "Hey Mr. Six, nice mounds!" And I thought I might get lucky and be one of the first to see real construction...*sigh* In other news, there's more track than you could shake a 42 inch stick at. Those would be both black, and white supports on site. A TPR exclusive! And there ya have it. A little more track and supports, and a child molester van! I really like how they're still updating the Sky Tower Museum. Bonus points to anyone who knows what these were intended for! But most importantly, Jesus was in attendance today. Okay, that's it for the small amount of update pictures I took. Expect a full PTR soonish (depending on when I have time) and definitely look for my buddy, Creditcrazy's coming sometime soon as well (we may just combine our pics into one PTR). Also note that Creditcrazy deserves just as much pathetic nerd credit for these pictures as I do. So don't shower only me with all of those hard earned thank yous.
  21. I was at Magic Mountain today...and I'm pleased to report that supports for MSDC are now on site (some are black, some are white). I'll have pictures soon probably, and a full PTR in the near future.
  22. I can't decide which is a better possible profile picture... (Note: The toolier, the better) A) B)
  23. Cool trip report. That place looks much better than the typical fun center. I love this site's word filter. It makes my wildest dreams come true! XD Lulz lockers
