  1. I like the seat-belt idea. Even fits the theme very well.
  2. Old Town on Windstorm. I was the only person in line and the bastard sent the train before I sat down.
  3. Buy Kiddieland, add a Wild Mouse and add a compact GCI like Evel Knievel is all I would need.
  4. 1. EPCOT 2. Islands of Adventure 3. Busch Gardens - Tampa 4. Disney's Animal Kingdom 5. Six Flags St. Louis 6. Universal Studios - FL 7. Kings Island 8. Six Flags Over Georgia 9. Kiddieland 10. Adventureland Before the last 2 plus weeks in Orlando, I would have never guessed I would have a park without a single coaster at the top. But EPCOT is a place we spent 2 and a half days and still did not even get to half the countries of the world showcase.
  5. Just got back from an insanely long vacation (11 amusement/theme parks in 19 days and over 3000 miles driven.) Here is what I got on the trip Maps - All of them I have around 10 Animal Kingdom Magic Kingdom Disney's Hollywood Studios EPCOT Universal Studios FL Islands of Adventure Six Flags Over Georgia Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Beech Bend - These are big paper ones that would have to be folded to be shipped or sent in a giant envelope. Brochures - Are lower in number on some Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Six Flags Over Georgia Sea World Orlando Lake Winnie Holiday World Dollywood Wild Adventure Indiana Beach Beech Bend - Only have 2 I also still have the following maps for trade SF Great America 08,09 SF Great America Fright Fest 08 SF STL 08 SF STL 09 - only 1 ValleyFair 09 Nick Universe 09 Kings Island 09
  6. Wow, I thought 20 was bad for an 8x10 photo, but $40 for that god awful video is simply dumbfounding. Why the hell make half the video nothing more then computer animated runs of the ride, would it have been that hard to use real ride footage. Or how about this, um, use footage of the people on the ride. Not that it would have mattered considering part of their heads were cut off. What a complete ripoff aimed at people who have never seen on-ride video for sale before. This defiantly makes the $12 or $15 Tony Hawk's Big Spin video at SF STL seem well worth the money.
  7. Batman - The Ride and Georgia Scorcher at SFOG. It was just too hot and not worth it for a ride that has been clones to death and a stand-up.
  8. ^ We were seeing the lock ers give the wait time plus an hour. When we did HRRR, even as they were just letting people in, it was free for 3 hours.
  9. I kept trying random numbers and got nothing. I know 825, 425 and 828 got me nothing.
  10. Bingo. As a person visiting for the first time, I still had no clue on what bridge across the street took me where. I had no clue there was a connection from the way to Thunder Run to the area by the Giant Wheel. The park is nice, but something has got to be done.
  11. Would make seance for the park. The day I went, the water park was beyond packed, the theme park was empty. And it wasn't hot either.
  12. I got a chance to ride the ride today and enjoyed it. We waited from 9 am until 12:30 pm when it opened. The line was 90 minutes to 2 hours the rest of the day with the single rider line filling up like crazy The coaster in no way, shape or form is worth the wait it has. But a 30-45 minute wait without a doubt. The ride tends to be rough depending on the person. For me (5'7 and 240) it was quite rough in the section by Citywalk. For my fiancee, she thought it was rough after the loop. I heard the same things from other people that rode at the same time, some thought it was rough, some not. The audio is a nice feature and basically makes the ride. This ride during the day without audio would be a boring ride. The bonus songs do work (112 or 122 is Freebird) but not all numbers do. I tried out 10 or so and had no luck. I went with the 902 Kermit song, but could not hear much of it. The audio does need to be turned up some, but it is true you can not hear the people next to you's audio. Overall, the ride is good for the park. I defiantly think the coaster will be a night ride more then anything. I'd give it a 6/10, but might be higher at night. Some notes - The max height is 6'7. We thought it was 6'6, but the ops told it was 6'7. Also, it will be a tight fit to some people. I was able to get a few clicks, but I saw people around 260 getting rejected. I don't think there is a test seat yet, so it will be trail and error. Also, you will be given a chance at the bigger seats (not sure which ones) if you do not fit. - Universal Express does not work on the ride and were told not to expect it to for a while. - The lock ers are require for anything, including lanyards and fannypacks. They are free for the length of the que plus 1 hour. - Lines were very short once the ride opened. The longest wait all day after it opened was 25 minutes on Simpsons. The week before has been at least a 60 minute wait during the day. - They were having problems in the on-ride photo area. You can pay at the photo/video terminal or at the main photo store. Problem is, they were forgetting to check if they pre-paid. Also, our picture would not print, so it was sent to package pick-up, but was wrong photo. It was no problem to get ours once we went back, just some new ride problems that will get worked out. - The on-ride photo prices are $17.95 for 5x7 and 19.95 for 8x10. The photo does have the date of the ride printed on the front. - The on-ride video was being tried out and maybe working later in the day around 5. It looks like a neat feature, just unsure of price. If there is anything else anyone wants to know, I can try to help.
  13. We got there just as the line closed They were also telling us 3-4 hours and no clue what will happen tomorrow. We were told by two different employees it may open tomorrow, another "technical rehearsal" or be closed. Guess we are there at opening tomorrow and hoping for the best. It is the last day of our Super Bowl week long tickets.
  14. ^ I think we can say it won't be a National Amusement Devices Company ride.
  15. We were by one of the employees while watching the ride and kept hearing about the audio. It did seem like people enjoyed it greatly, hopefully they let gp in the next 2 days for soft openings (crosses fingers.)
  16. It was no steady rain today. A large thunderstorm move through the attractions area today with heavy wind and rain. I live near the attractions area and luckily made it home from work today right before it started. I remember walking out of work when the storm was moving in and it was very windy. Heavy downpour and gusty once it started where I live. It feels strange how on Wednesday when I saw it for the first time in person I thought it looked great and one day later it got blown down. Yes it was a thunderstorm storm today, but when your park is in a hurricane area, you should be expect wind like that this time of year.
  17. It is simply amazing it came down. I saw it on Tuesday and it was ok enough. I did not think that a steady FL rain would take it down. The race between this and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is getting closer.
  18. I've only been to 4, but rank them SFOG SF STL SF Great America SF Kentucky Kingdom Monster Mansion put SFOG to the top for me.
  19. Was there tonight (for the first time in 8 or so years) and the ride looks outstanding testing. In the morning they had workers at the top of the lift working until around 2 or so. At 3 we saw one trains make a full run and half a 2nd run before being stopped on the 2nd brake run. Tonight, after the U360 show, they had 2 trains running with weights in it non-stop. The audio and lights were going on both trains, as well as weights being moved. The only noticeable problem was the 5 r1ing (top one) was not working. The ride is very close to being ready from the looks of the outside. The only bad thing for universal was people saying "go figure it will open when we leave." Not much they can do, but there were a ton of people saying it once they fired the ride up at night.
  20. The could put the go karts there if they expand Hurricane Harbor.
  21. I was at SFOG last Monday and they were dispatching trains on Goliath around every 2 minutes or so. So they were not that bad. Now Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom on the other hand...6 minutes per dispatch on Chang with one train running. However, even with the times being slower then Great America does not mean I did not enjoy both places. Yes there were negatives, but there were also many more positives.
  22. I went with I don't care. However, when people decide to scream in the tunnel after the station on the Demon is beyond annoying.
  23. The Windstorm at Old Town. Never have I even felt like an injury could happen until I rode this. The mixture of the padding missing from various parts of the ride, the ride being sent before I sat down, hearing stuff way too loose and the restraint opening during the ride did it for me. Never again. And yet, it was still better then Mean Streak.
  24. You are right, but sadly, don't see it happening. No reason to spend money on a ride that already has very few people on it.
