  4. Kiss The Girl - Ashley Tisdale
  5. I agree! I am proud to live in the ONLY state (Maryland) below the mason dixie line that has legalized gay marriage. Not only that but it was legalized by leaving it up to the public to vote on it and not the local government. I think it would become legal in more states if it was handled that way. Some states I think its going to be a heck of a ride to get it legalized - primarily Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Kentucky. The places where religion is HUGE.
  6. Looks like Illinois will be the 15th state to get marriage equality! Hawaii is gearing up as well it seems. I am glad I am at a age where I can understand what is going on and still live a life to enjoy all of these awesome changes.
  7. ^ I agree with Robb. I thought all of the anticipation and waiting would have caused more of a turn out. I did not see anyone talking about it. When I was there during PPP it only had a hour and half wait which is normal for a park, even a park of this size. I was expecting 2-3 hours at the least. I am glad I was able to go and ride such a historical ride. While I was in line I was talking to a ACE member who is a lot older then me and he was telling me all about the older bob sleds and how much this resembles them. This ride is awesome I am glad it opened before I moved away from the area.
  8. This is awesome! Thank you David for posting this. I LOVE haunted attractions and this would be neat to visit. I am excited to see how they change and update for next year.
  9. Someone's Watching Over Me - Hilary Duff
  10. This thing looks crazy! I can not wait to head to Vegas next year and ride it. Thank you for the pictures.
  11. My roller coaster tattoo should be finished this weekend!
  12. Gravity is so good! I do not like 3D movies either but this one was more depth than 3D and I do not mind that. That is why a remake is a remake. Its the same story retold for a new generation. I don't recall it ever being advertised as a re-telling or a re-working of the original story. Like when Rob Zombie redid Halloween he made sure he put it out there it was a re-telling and not a remake.
  13. I believe we all should be who we are. Some of us a more flamboyant, some of us are more butch, some are in the middle. I love that we have so many different facets within our community. The gays that hate on others for being too gay are just rude and are what gives us more of a bad name. They are the pretentious ones that make fun of EVERYONE.
  14. I try that at every amusement park haunted attraction I do. I much prefer the haunted attractions in PA and DE that are strictly haunted attractions - they only send you and your group through so if its just you and someone else - you only go through with just the two of you.
  15. ^ Awesome!
  16. Thunderhawk at Dorney - one of my favorite woodies.
  17. Went to the park this past weekend for The Haunt VI. Which makes me think... have they only been doing a haunted event for 6 years or is it just the 6th year its called The Haunt? Over all I had a great day. Everything was running with no issues at all. I got there about noon and nothing had long lines. We only waited about 1-2 cycles for everything. I was surprised to see every coaster except Thunderhawk running 2 trains with the crowds being so light. I guess they did not want to hold everything up once the crowds picked up later on. The coasters were running great for as cold as it was. You could feel the Wild Mouse slow down a lot during the turns and it sounded like it was rubbing a lot more than usual. Also Talon was running slower it seemed. Only complaints ride wise is I wish they would do better with loading flats. The girl running the Enterprise did not count and seemed to allow more people in then needed for a few cycles. Also at Meteor I wish they filled the thing. This ride REALLY needs a single rider line to fill all the seats from the couples that are riding. Also it had a lot of 'unavailable' seats. Once it got about 6 the crowds picked up dramatically. We got in line for Blood Shed. Yep, waste of time like I thought. The themeing was GREAT but experience was not. Not scary at all. How is getting in my face scary? Also again they send way too many people through at once. We ended up being in a large pack of about 20 people so when things popped out in front of us we knew it was going to happen. After that we decided that rest were not worth our time. The slide structure they are getting in the water park next year looks nice!
  18. I am just glad they are finally doing something with that spot. That whole area looks terrible. I wish their "behind the scenes" area behind where Two Face was had a big wall so you could not see all the crap back there. The 'family coaster' category is needed for this park so its good they are finally getting one. Even though i'd rather see something custom this is better than nothing.
  19. Congrats on your move!
  20. Hands down Walt Disney World! Let me preface this with I am a WDW junkie/fanboy. Disney World is my favorite place to be. It goes to show a park/parks does not need to have the most amazing, tallest, fastest, craziest rides for guest to have a good time. There is something for everyone there. The detail they put into EVERYTHING is amazing. Everything is well thought out - from the next big attraction down to the little things like the gardens, outfits, details of the buildings, the awesome hidden Mickeys, etc. I could just be lucky but I have never had a bad experience there either with guest, rides, operations, or staff. Disney has a way of making even the most simple of things awesome - like the Tiki Room show or its a small world. Even though they are kinda old they continue to pull in the numbers because they are just neat little things. Plus how awesomely bad is its a small world. After a long day of walking making that the last ride really lets your legs/feet rest for a bit. Disney goes above and beyond for food. Not only do they offer the typical park food (burgers, fries, chicken tenders, etc) they also offer amazing offerings at award winning restaurants that not only give you an awesome menu but many immerse you into a story, time, or place. The staff at WDW (or any Disney location) totally immerses their selves into their job (most from my experience). You are not just someone coming to an amusement park - you are their guest for the day and many show it. Let them find out its your birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, or you are just celebrating something. They will go above and beyond to make it memorable. Most of the crew that play characters research their character so they not only look like who they are portraying but act, move, talk, hold their selves, etc. just like that character. Many times when a ride breaks down or malfunctions while you are on it they will give out a pass that allows you front of the line access to another ride. No one likes when this happens but at least they try to make it a little better.
  21. Cedar Fair I prefer CF parks to SF parks because they are must better taken care of. I love the look of CF parks - they look clean and sophisticated. The operations are way better all around. I have never seen SF employees literally RUNNING to get trains out of a station like I did with Gatekeeper, Millennium Force, and Diamondback. This is just me but it appears they try to focus on not stacking the trains. I have been to Kings Dominion, Dorney, Knotts, Cedar Point, Kings Island, Great America, and Gilroy Gardens and I LOVE each park. They seem to take more pride into their parks than SF. SF seems to be more focused on building the next big thing while CF is more focused on the over all experience, at least that is my opinion. I think SF rely's more on the comic book characters carrying their rides then the actual ride. CF has some pretty generic names for their rides but I do not care because they have some pretty epic rides. Maintenance of the rides is huge at CF - they are usually pretty good with keeping things up and running. Also all around they are good with keeping their grounds clean. SF builds these huge new areas and after a few years they seem to stop taking care of it - like when the newness wears off. Also CF has a pretty good amount of flats at their parks which I LOVE. Now the only exceptions I would say for SF are Great Escape, SFNE, and SF Discovery Kingdom. They are my favorite SF parks. I leave out SFGAdventure because that is strictly a coaster park. I want flats and LOTS of them.
  22. I am the opposite. I love the new Evil Dead and do not care for the original. I love remakes of old horror movies. I am just not into that comedy horror mix. The Texas Chainsaw with Jessica Biel was well done in my opinion as well as Halloween by Rob Zombie (the second one he did however was terrible), even though his was more a retelling. I LOVE all the gore. But that is me. Some of the remakes I could have did without though... Friday The 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, House Of Wax. All in all I love remakes - I love someone putting their take on a story. Does it always work no, sometimes though it does. Its all a gamble. I am still kinda young and I am already excited to see remakes of movies from my childhood already... Scream, Ms. Doubtfire, Look Who's Talking, Richie Rich, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, etc.
