Vicky The Ride is named after Vicky The Viking, a character who first appeared in German-Japanese cartoons in the 70s and has been property of Studio 100 for quite some time now. They recently made a couple pretty successful live-action movies with him. Now some will notice the above images say "Wickie" instead of "Vicky". The original name is Wickie, but PlopsaCoo is located in a French-speaking region, where the character is known as Vicky.

Lots of rumors in France that the park is bankrupt. As a result, the park is virtually empty these days. There's now a message on the Walygator website reassuring visitors that the park is open and will remain open until the end of the season. (also, can a mod rename this thread "Walygator Discussion Thread" ?)

You forget one little detail: there never was anything wrong with the track. It was closed because of problems with the support structure. RMC wouldn't be able to use much of the existing ride.

Great photos. The park has been really well maintained lately. However... Don't praise the park too much, there hasn't been a new ride since 2003... Walibi Holland is even worse. In addition to nothing new since 2002, many rides got removed, including a roller coaster.
