  1. New dev diary tomorrow! https://www.facebook.com/PlanetCoaster "This is how excited we’re feeling right now." "A quick sneak peek of an animation from Planet Coaster." "A quick look at how crowds of people will find paths through your very own Planet Coaster park."
  2. Prinsessia update. Lots of color! photos: Plopsaland
  3. Phase 2 of the Sky Fly zone has been unveiled! More scenery, and two new flat rides! Overview of the area: Sky Fly in the center, Balloon Race in the bottom left corner. Those rides already exist. One of the new rides... which looks like some sort of Wave Swinger: New colors and scenery for the existing Balloon Race, and for the shops: photos: Holiday Park & Holly-Info
  4. Another official video, showing a local quarry where the park ordered 500 tons of real basalt rocks...
  5. Winter has arrived in Germany... Freizeitpark Plohn has remained closed today because of it. Fort Fun opened, but closed at 2 pm already. photos: Plohn & Fort Fun
  6. Woodie update... The station goes here: Lifthill over there: First drop in this area: They were busy building an actual wall... photos: Plopsaland
  7. I count 4 coasters... Stellar Propulsion, a launch coaster. Clearly an Intamin, and it looks like an original design, 80m tall. Tokyo's Night, a dueling coaster. This one looks like a Preston & Barbieri, and a clone of Mirabilandia's Master Thai. A weird choice, as a nearly identical ride exists "down the road" at Dennlys Parc. Master Thai, Mirabilandia | photo: NewsParcs Journey to the Center of the Earth is a kiddie coaster. This looks like an L&T Junior Coaster 30x14, which also exists at Mirabilandia. Gold Mine Train, Cowboyland | photo: George Greenway The Land of Elves consists of two indoor Spinning Coasters. The layout looks like a Fabbri Spinning Madness (40m). 8. That's a lot of new artwork! Main Street: Manga City: Adventurer's League: Heroic Fantasy: Science Fiction: Steam Punk: Sea World:
  9. Looks like it will have a lifthill. This footer right here... ...will probably end up looking like this: photo: Nigloland Walibi photo: Laurens van Heerde Nigloland photo: Nigloland
  10. A new official website is up. https://unveilthemagic.shanghaidisneyresort.com.cn/?ref=officialwebsite So far, only the Tomorrowland-section can be viewed, and it's all rather slow, but there's some (new?) nice artwork to be found... Buzz Lightyear Buzz Lightyear Jet Packs Jet Packs Jet Packs Stitch Encounter Star Wars Launch Bay TRON Lightcycle Power Run
  11. Larger... ...and some facts from the accompanying article: - this is at CSM in Belgium, which has been making for parts for Mack for 10 years now - this ride for Walibi uses 600 tons of steel - CSM has 4 buildings each the size of a football field - they're currently working on 5 coasters edit: And a little extra fact shared by Mack: CSM usually doesn't make track. This ride is an exception, as the track is relatively simple. All "twisted" track is still exclusively made by Mack themselves in Waldkirch, Germany. photos: Het Belang van Limburg
  12. Santa Fe and Cheyene are the only ones without airco. They only have a ceiling fan. Consider it part of the theme.
  13. Wow. The park just announced another new coaster. Apparently they're planning a GCI wooden coaster. The park posted a photo of the GCI booth at EAS, with the following description: "Just back from Sweden, full of new ideas and concepts for Energylandia. In this photo one of the attractions that is scheduled for installation in our park." source: Energylandia
  14. Vekoma's newest train, likely to be used on this new launch coaster... source: Arthur Lechevalier, taken at EAS
  15. From the park's Facebook-page... original: https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xtp1/t31.0-8/s0/12068990_10153567948487088_1791567563784583708_o.jpg photo: Ferrari World
  16. Prinsessia update... Lots of new spires... And a glimpse inside the restaurant... photos: Plopsaland
  17. Son of Beast had some very serious problems in the supporting structure. RMC couldn't have saved the ride. edit: You can read a detailed "failure analysis report" of the July 9, 2006 incident here: http://archive.cincinnati.com/assets/AB173457423.PDF The conclusion... Fixing the problems they knew about only led to more problems...
  18. Comparing Tobi's "pretty likely layout" with the actual construction... ...here's what's left to do:
  19. New aerial photos (October 4): photos: sichtflug
  20. Official aerial video of the construction site:
  21. Layout of the launch coaster: photo: Vekoma
  22. More concrete... More supports... More track... More tunnel... More scenery... Less bubble wrap... More wall... photos: Pure-Fun, Phantafriends
  23. The artwork doesn't show a Pterodactyl, but a Pteranodon. Neither of them are "dinosaurs" though, so the name of the ride is dumb.
